In Return..

Sources told Reuters that Tehran had asked Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia to press U.S. President Donald Trump to use his influence on Israeli Prime Minister to push for an immediate ceasefire.
In return, Iran would show flexibility in nuclear negotiations.

If President Trump is genuine about diplomacy and interested in stopping this war, next steps are consequential," Araqchi said on X.

"Israel must halt its aggression, and absent a total cessation of military aggression against us, our responses will continue. It takes one phone call from Washington to muzzle someone like Netanyahu."
Asked if he would agree to talks should Trump want that, Netanyahu told reporters that Israel was committed to removing the threats of both nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.

Smugglers..

Texas cops discovered 25 illegal immigrants — including an 11-year-old — “crammed” inside a box truck in the sweltering Texas heat last week — and the alleged smuggler behind the wheel said she was just hauling mattresses, dramatic bodycam footage showed.

They hailed from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, India, Cuba, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic. was quickly cuffed.

She is charged with 25 counts of human smuggling.

Smugglers are desperately trying to find new ways to sneak migrants into the US without getting caught to keep their profits high, Homeland Security sources have told The Post.

Theatre..

Democratic representative broke rank within his own party by describing the altercation between law enforcement and Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) on Thursday as “theater.”
Speaking to Axios, Rep. Jared Golden (D-Maine) weighed in on the intense moment that occurred during a press conference with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
“I think that it’s never good when a senator or member of Congress gets roughed up by law enforcement,” Golden told Axios Thursday in an interview at the Capitol.
But, he added: “I don’t think politics as theater is what our job is here.”

Support..

Following Isreal’s initiation of air strikes against a wide range of Iranian military, infrastructure and political targets on June 13, Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes later that day.

Israel Defence Forces have continued to receive a range of support from across the Western world. On the other hand, Iran may not be getting that much of support.

The United States has actively employed ground based and maritime air defence systems to attempt to blunt Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israel, and having bolstered Israel’s arms inventories for several months, is expected to resupply its forces if necessary.

The United Kingdom deployed fighter aircraft to the Middle East to provide greater protection against Iranian drone strikes, while a number of unconfirmed reports indicate that NATO members including Germany are providing aerial refuelling support to allow Israeli fighter aircraft to reach Iranian targets.

Iran, by contrast, lacks foreign support, with the fall of Syria to Turkish and Israeli backed insurgents in December 2024 having left it isolated in the region, while its primary supplier of ballistic missiles North Korea is not well equipped to make major new equipment deliveries in wartime.

Collapsing..

NRCC Spokesman Mike Marinella stated, “The Democrat Party is collapsing under the weight of its own failures.”
Marinella added, “They’re hemorrhaging support, losing trust, and watching key parts of its coalition walk away at record speed. This is a crisis, and they’re doing themselves no favors.”
In congressional favorability ratings, Republicans have secured a net score of negative 10 percent. Democrats, however, stand at negative 24 percent.
Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin noted that the Democrat Party’s effort to improve connection with voters is “complicated, for sure.” He added, “We have a lot to learn still.

Chorus..

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., joined the chorus of Democrats criticizing Department of Homeland Security Kristi Noem after Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif., was stopped by Secret Service agents after interrupting a DHS press conference in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Senator Padilla entered a high-security federal facility under false pretenses and crashed an invite-only press conference as law enforcement are working around the clock to calm violent riots," McLaughlin continued. "There’s no excuse for busting into a press conference and interrupting it. Had Senator Padilla asked for a meeting, Secretary Noem would have happily obliged, which she graciously did for 15 minutes after the press conference."

Cowards

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a fiery move within New York's Democratic Party, calling the support of Andrew Cuomo in the 2025 New York City mayoral race by establishment figures an act of "cowardice.

Her comments, made days after she endorsed progressive candidate Zohran Mamdani, are sending shockwaves through local politics just weeks ahead of the June 24 primary.

The congresswoman's remarks highlight the growing divide between the Democratic establishment and the party's insurgent progressive wing.

With early voting now underway and a ranked-choice system in place, AOC's intervention could shift the balance in one of the most consequential city elections in years.
