Baby Acc.
The tax-deferred investing accounts, which launched on July 4, can include a one-time $1,000 deposit from the Treasury Department for kids born between 2025 and 2028. Other funds may also be available for qualifying families.
But because signing up for a Trump Account has required families to "opt in" by filing IRS Form 4547 with their tax return or via TrumpAccounts.gov, overall participation rates, especially among low-income families, has been low, research shows.
The Social Security Administration previously said it would introduce a process to enroll newborns at the hospital at the same time families request a Social Security number during the birth registration process.
Griffin..
No university in the history of US education has received such a donation until Citadel founder Ken Griffin pledged an unprecedented $3 billion to Carnegie Mellon University.
Part of the money will go towards making a new campus in Miami where Griffin stays and the rest will be for the development of the university campus in Pittsburgh.
Griffin’s $3 billion gift will consist of $1 billion to support CMU’s Pittsburgh campus, split evenly between flexible support for the university’s highest priorities and a $500 million investment in its top-ranked School of Computer Science, which will be renamed the Kenneth C Griffin School of Computer Science. An additional $2 billion will support the launch of CMU Miami," the university announced.
The Miami campus will support more than 3,500 undergraduate, master’s and PhD students, nearly 300 faculty and more than 600 staff members, with construction slated to begin in 2027.
Griffin will also become a member of Carnegie Mellon’s board of trustees. The board already includes hedge fund billionaire David Tepper, a Carnegie Mellon graduate and donor.

Round tripping..
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday blamed Ukraine for causing high oil prices by attacking Russian energy targets — as the Trump administration scrambles to lower prices at the pump ahead of the Nov. 3 midterm elections.
Bessent’s remarks implicating Ukraine could serve as a warning to Kyiv, which has leaned on the US for military equipment to fend off Russia’s nearly five-year invasion.
“Ukraine has decided that they want to blow up Russian energy assets and refined products. So that is creating upward price pressure on a global basis,” Bessent told “Fox & Friends.”
So The United States give weapons to the Ukraine to defend itself, but it is used to increase US oil cost in the world. No wonder. Just a thought.

Alice..
Alice Walton has been one of the richest women in the world for years. She came by her massive $100 billion-plus fortune by way of being part of the family behind Walmart, the No. 2 Fortune 500 company (only this year beat out by Amazon).
Today, she’s worth nearly $120 billion. She did that without running the company or even sitting on the board of Walmart, unlike her brothers who also hold significant shares of Walmart.
Alice, who is the youngest child of Walmart founder Sam Walton, co-manages Walton Enterprises, which is one of the two family holding companies that controls an estimated 39%-44% of the retailer.
She founded the tuition-free Alice L. Walton School of Medicine (AWSOM) in Bentonville, Arkansas, welcoming its inaugural class in 2025.
Regret..
Socrates famously advised, "By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher".
- In his foundational work Either/Or, Kierkegaard famously writes that whether you marry or do not marry, you will regret it either way, reflecting the tragic structure of human choice and the romanticizing of the unchosen path.
- Rather than discouraging marriage, his paradox teaches that freedom means accepting a path and bearing its cost, as seeking a flawless, regret-free decision only leads to paralysis.
- Comment:
- That was then, now is different. Just a thought.

Camino De Santiago..
The Camino de Santiago is a famous network of ancient walking and cycling pilgrimage routes leading to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in northwestern Spain, where the remains of the apostle St. James are believed to be buried.
- Camino Francés (The French Way): The most popular route. It starts in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the French side of the Pyrenees and spans about 780 km (485 miles) across northern Spain. It takes roughly 30 to 35 days to complete.
- Camino Portugués: Starts in Portugal (commonly Porto) and takes about 10 to 14 days. [1]
- The Last 100 km (Sarria to Santiago): Many beginners choose this final stretch of the French Way. Walking 100 km (or cycling 200 km) is the minimum requirement to receive the official completion certificate, known as the Compostela. This section takes about 5 to 7 days.
- History: The pilgrimage began in the 9th century after the alleged discovery of St. James's tomb. It became one of the most important Christian pilgrimages of the Middle Ages.
- Symbols: The yellow arrow and the scallop shell mark the trail. Pilgrims historically wore or carried a scallop shell as a badge of honor and a practical tool for gathering water or food along the way.

Open Hate..
He argued that Trump could have successes in foreign policy like the war in Ukraine or the Middle East and covering those topics will be a challenge for media outlets opposed to his presidency.
Fairytale..
Many of these folks rarely see their grown children, as several live across town, in other states, or in other countries. They don't get to enjoy their grandchildren except for an occasional phone call."
They can split responsibilities that align with their likes and abilities, but single people do it all, even if they don't know how."
