Women...

Tunisia has suspended all flights by Emirates to and from Tunis after the Dubai-based airline barred Tunisian women from boarding its flights.

The Tunisian presidency said the United Arab Emirates' authorities explained that they made the decision following "serious security information" about alleged plans for attacks by Tunisian women, or women with Tunisian passports, from "tense hotbeds" in Syria and Iraq.

UAE's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs  wrote on Twitter that the ban was temporary and due to security reasons.

The barring of Tunisian women has caused anger among rights groups and political parties in Tunisia. A protest was scheduled outside the UAE's embassy in Tunis.

Acting Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said that Coppolo was driving a red 2013 Toyota pickup when he pulled onto Hempstead Turnpike and got into a fender bender within Parmar, who was driving a Jeep.

18-year-old Parmar held his door, after the Levittown accident.
Authorities said he sped away, running her over.

Defense attorney Lawrence Carra says he hasn't seen credible evidence his client, a fire department dispatcher, was the driver.

He is being held on $1 million bail after police say he ran over a college honors student on Long Island after a minor accident. The bail was ordered when Daniel Coppolo pleaded not guilty in the Nov. 9 accident.

The Fender Bender wasn't much, but the aftermath was deadly.
Let the cops do their job for God's sake.

A fake immigration attorney in New York City who's scammed hundreds of people under a business  name "God-Man Society Club Inc." is facing millions in penalties, fines and jail time, the state attorney general says.

Vincent Gonzalez of the Bronx was ordered in 2010 to stop providing phony immigration services, but the attorney general started getting renewed complaints about him in 2015.

Gonzalez told one victim he could assist in immigration-related services and assist in a pending criminal case; he said he would charge $1,500 as an investigation fee, $5,000 as an initial retainer, another $8,000 to complete the criminal case, and an additional $3,000 for bail if the victim were to be arrested. The victim initially paid Gonzalez $650, then became skeptical of his ability to represent him and cut off contact with him.

How big is the need for Immigration lawyers in the Bronx?

Agape...*

Beauty woman wonder face with open mouth
Image is not related

Agape is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional love, the highest of the four types of love in the Bible. This Greek word and variations of it are found throughout the New Testament.  Agape's definition:  [of the mouth] wide open, especially with surprise or wonder.

The noun form first occurs in the Septuagint, but the verb form goes as far back as Homer, translated literally as affection, as in "greet with affection" and "show affection for others".[2]

Other ancient authors have used forms of the word to denote love of a spouse or family, or affection for a particular activity, in contrast to eros (an affection of a sexual nature).

Within Christianity, agape is considered to be the love originating from God or Christ for mankind.[3] In the New Testament, it refers to the covenant love of God for humans, as well as the human reciprocal love for God; the term necessarily extends to the love of one's fellow man.[4] Some contemporary writers have sought to extend the use of agape into non-religious contexts.

Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned,
Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned.

Music has charms to soothe the savage breast
To soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak.

Uncertainty and expectation are the joys of life.
                         Security is an insipid thing.

Never go to bed angry,
                        stay up and fight.

Say what you will, ’
tis better to be left than never to have been loved.

Courtship is to marriage, as a very witty prologue to a very dull play.

Grief walks upon the heels of pleasure; married in haste, we repent at leisure.

If there's delight in love, 'Tis when I see that heart, which others bleed for, bleed for me.

There is in true beauty, as in courage, something which narrow souls cannot dare to admire.

Beauty is the lover's gift.

As cyberattacks take aim at larger targets and higher ransoms, and with the price of bitcoin spiking, CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz said there's "absolutely" reason to believe North Korea has an appreciating pile of bitcoin to fund future attacks.
The WannaCry attack crippled hospitals, banks and companies around the world, and "highlights the capabilities that North Korea has in cyber," Kurtz said.
"And what we've seen is the increase of capabilities just over the last three years."

It seems that Europe and USA are way behind in the cyber area.

Andrea Ramsey announced in a Facebook post that she was ending her congressional campaign, calling allegations that she harassed her former employee and then retaliated against him "a lie."

The employee, Gary Funkhouser, filed the lawsuit against OneLab Inc., the Kansas City-area company where Ramsey worked as a vice president. The two parties agreed to dismiss the lawsuit after settlement talks.

Ramsey was hoping to win the right to challenge four-term incumbent Republican Kevin Yoder next year. The district contains a mix of affluent, GOP-leaning suburbs and poorer, heavily Democratic city neighborhoods. Democrat Hillary Clinton carried it in last year's presidential election.

Funkhouser filed the federal lawsuit in October 2005, four months after he was fired as a human resources manager at OneLab. Ramsey, then known as Andrea Thomas, was the company's executive vice president for human resources, a position she left in April 2006 for another job.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Pennsylvania man who posted several violent messages on Facebook and was convicted under a federal threat statute.

The Supreme Court rejected that view and decided that people cannot be convicted of the crime of sending threats unless they had an “awareness of some wrongdoing,” which is needed to show criminal intent.

The court’s opinion rested on a subtle point of criminal law and said nothing about the 1st Amendment or free speech. But it is likely to shield people who rant online or muse darkly about carrying out violent acts.

Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., however, said the court decided to focus narrowly on a historic principle of criminal law. Before someone can be convicted of a crime, they should be at least aware that what they were doing was wrong.

A defendant can be convicted if he “transmits a communication for the purpose of issuing a threat or with the knowledge that the communication will be viewed as a threat,” the chief justice said.   So Be Carefull...

10 Famous American UFO Reports: Fact or Fiction?

Social media speculation was sky high after a line of flashing lights was seen above across the Denver area. At first glance, many saw a convoy of flashing lights lined up in a straight formation.
Some speculated the line of lights were part of UFOs. Others were curious if they were drones.
According to a military spokesperson, the lights actually belonged to a convoy of C-17 aircraft that were involved in an exercise. CBS Denver was told the planes were headed from South Carolina to Nevada and back.
Aviation expert Steve Cowell says the planes were flying in a formation that is commonly seen in military exercises.
"That was the echelon formation. In other words, they were all lined up in a row," Cowell said. "It is not uncommon to have these types of planes in formation, especially at night.

Some described the line of lights in the sky as "creepy," claiming they couldn't hear any sounds coming from more than a dozen aircraft. Cowell said the planes, being military cargo aircraft, are designed to operate at quiet tones.

Sexual immorality is spreading rapidly among so-called Bible-believing, gospel-preaching, family-focused churches. Many of the conservative Christians probably know about a currently ongoing affair or premarital sex between active members of their own church. They may not approve of it. Many other religions have the same issues.

In Massachusetts, Consent can be just judicial, but is normally both parental and judicial. In the absence of any statutory minimum age, one opinion is that the traditional minimum common law marriageable age of 12 for girls and 14 for boys may still be in effect . Other States may have similar.

While couples or those attempt forming a relationship, may believe they are doing the right thing, their opinion is not shared by many.

However, let us keep morality and judgment out of the hands of well paid media personnel.

Indonesia's top court on Thursday ruled against petitioners seeking to make gay sex and sex outside marriage illegal in a victory for the country's besieged LGBT minority.
The 5-to-4 decision by the nine-judge panel of the Constitutional Court rejected the arguments of a conservative group, the Family Love Alliance, which believes Indonesia is being swamped by immoral behavior, fueled by the internet and social media.
The judges in their ruling said it's not the Constitutional Court's role to criminalize private behavior or to usurp parliament by imposing laws on it. The court's decision is final.
In the past two years, LGBT Indonesians have endured a wave of hostility that has been stoked by inflammatory public statements from conservative officials and religious groups.

Fluid Intelligence...*

Image result for human intelligence and love

Older workers tend to be more knowledgeable than younger workers. Though it can take longer for older people to learn new skills or process new information, they are often much better at tasks they’ve practiced extensively.

Fluid intelligence,” your ability to process new information and situations, tends to decline with age. Meanwhile, “crystallized intelligence,” your knowledge of facts and how to perform particular tasks, generally increases through your 50s and 60s, researchers have found, with little decline after that.

That’s one reason designers and stock traders are more susceptible to decline, than, teachers and academics.

For example, photography, a job that can require lots of fluid intelligence, can be more susceptible to age-related decline than jobs as cooks or cleaners, which depend on physical and cognitive skills that last late into life.

Not all the news about aging is bleak. Americans on the whole are living longer, healthier lives than ever. A record number are working past age 65, and the share of seniors with dementia has plunged, from 11.6 percent in 2000 to 8.8 percent in 2012.

Exercise and good nutrition can help you stay productive longer.   Just a thought.

Women across the world now consume nearly as much alcohol as men, a new research shows that the gender gap in drinking habits is closing.

'Sex convergence', is most evident among young adults, according to researchers from University of New South Wales in Australia.

Historically, men have been far more likely than women to drink alcohol, and to consume it in quantities that damage their health, with some figures suggesting up to a 12-fold difference between the sexes.

All the studies included explicit regional or national comparisons of men's and women's drinking patterns across at least two time periods.

The researchers used the following criteria to inform their data search: lifetime and/or current alcohol misuse or dependence; alcohol related problems; treatment for alcohol issues; and the timeframe of use and the development of related problems.

Ideally, birth control should be a decision equally handled by all parties involved. But too often, the physical and financial responsibility is left to the person who is actually at risk for becoming pregnant.

There are many possible reasons for this imbalance, not the least of which is the extreme lack of contraceptive options available to men. Generally, they can choose between the unreliable methods of withdrawal and condoms, or the all-or-nothing option of vasectomy.

A study launched in 2008, and published by The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology, tested hormonal birth control shots in men that proved to be almost 96% effective at preventing pregnancy. (By contrast, condoms are, in real life, about 82% effective.)

But the study was cut short when participants reported side effects including mood disorders, acne and changes in libido.       []

Researchers from Harvard Medical School looked at 89,571 Caucasian women and 46,399 Caucasian men to see how much a healthy lifestyle could reduce cancer risk.
16,531 women and 11,731 men had a healthy lifestyle pattern and were determined to be low risk. These healthy patterns included moderate or no drinking, a BMI between 18.5 and 27.5, weekly physical activity that included at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous intensity, and either never having smoked or currently not being a smoker.
The authors then studied cancer rates among the high- and low-risk groups. They found that overall, 20 percent to 40 percent of carcinoma cases and about half of carcinoma deaths can be potentially prevented through lifestyle modification. Carcinomas form in the lining of certain tissues or organs and is the most common form of cancer.

Fines...

Muslim brides, veiled in red, speak during a mass wedding ceremony in 2015

Husbands who attempt "instant divorce" could be sentenced to three years in prison under draft legislation being considered in India. The traditional practice involves a man saying "talaq" (divorce) three times - in any form, including email or text message.
It was declared unconstitutional by India's Supreme Court in August, but officials say it has continued since. The proposed law also provides for fines and support for affected women.
The draft Women Protection of Rights on Marriage Bill has now been sent to regional governments for consultation.
It would explicitly ban "triple talaq", in line with the Supreme Court ruling, and lay out procedures legal procedures for a "subsistence allowance" and custody arrangements, the Press Trust of India said.
