Smog..

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an emergency air-quality waiver through June 6 to boost supplies of gasoline in East Texas after production was cut at a regional refinery.

The waiver allows the sale in 34 Texas counties of higher-volatility, winter-grade gasoline. The Biden administration has released emergency oil stocks and is considering lifting smog rules nationwide to combat rising fuel prices.

Waivers typically are issued after hurricanes or other disasters that broadly cut fuel supplies and not for outages at a single refinery as in the Texas case.

Sanctions on Russia or Lifting smog rules nationwide to combat rising fuel prices?  Just a lost cause.

Blackout..

[By Irina Slav for Oilprice.com]

As many as six million British households could face blackouts this winter in case of a gas shortage, per a Sky News report citing government modeling of energy fundamentals next heating season.

The blackouts fall under a worst-case scenario with gas supply shortages, which would also involve limits being placed on industrial gas consumption, the report noted. The blackouts would be the result of gas supply rationing to gas-fired power plants.

The cost of living crisis "is going to get truly horrific" in October, when the twice-yearly-adjusted price cap is set to spike again, Keith Anderson, chief executive at one of the largest providers, ScottishPower, told a Parliament committee last month.

"Thanks to a massive £90bn investment in renewable energy in the last decade, we have one of the most reliable and diverse energy systems in the world, and unlike Europe, we are not dependent on Russian energy imports," the spokesperson also said. But then a major problem here. Just a thought.

Loss..

When gas prices exceed $5 per gallon, the economy tends to experience what's called demand destruction, whereby consumers and businesses reduce spending because of the higher prices. The prices continue to rise.
Each 10 percent increase in gas and oil prices means consumers will have to spend an additional $23 billion a year to keep up with earlier spending patterns. So here is 500 billion Dollars loss to the economy.

Peace..

French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke via phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, calling for a ceasefire and direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky amid Moscow’s continued invasion of Ukraine.

The European leaders also pressed Putin to release roughly 2,5000 “defenders of Azovstal held as prisoners of war by Russian forces,” according to a press release from the French embassy. Azovstal was the final holdout of Ukrainian forces before Russia fully seized the port city of Mariupol.

Putin reportedly conveyed “the openness of the Russian side to the resumption of dialogue” during the 80-minute call.

Macron and Scholtz also voiced an “urgent need for the blockade of Odessa to be lifted” in order to resume the export of Ukrainian grain, the release added. The Russian blockade is exacerbating food shortages and inflation across the world.

Can Macron brokers a deal to this area?  Just a thought.

Sanctions..

Crude prices will likely go even higher still after already surging following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Europe is hugely dependent on Russian oil imports. It gets about a quarter of its oil from Russia, by far the biggest single source of oil imports into the continent.

Ultimately, it's expected that an EU ban on Russian oil imports will result in a loss of 2 million barrels a day from Russia.

Russia could make up the loss of revenue from sales to the EU through higher crude prices.

European citizens will be hit hard for sure, but even in the U.S., it's hard to see any relief in sight to gas prices.

The U.S. is also approaching the summer season, and the Hurricane season, so higher prices are coming. Just a thought.

Investigate..

Spiral..

The desire to humiliate Putin and reinforce U.S. global military dominance is shortsighted and dangerous. It risks escalating, expanding, and prolonging the war in Ukraine. It will vastly increase the probability of a nuclear exchange, which could easily spiral into a global holocaust.

The highest priority of the United States should be to bring this war to a swift conclusion through an immediate ceasefire and a negotiated settlement that is fair and durable.

Yet the Biden administration under pressure from Congress and the foreign policy establishment has only ratcheted up its war aims, from containing Russia to crushing it.

Following a high-level visit to Ukraine, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin described the U.S. goal as seeing “Russia weakened to the degree it cannot do the kinds of things it has done in invading Ukraine,” while Democratic leaders called for an outright military “victory”.

With that Food shortage, Oil Prices, Steady Inflation and increase poverty around the globe, all are very welcome to this Democratic Party to keep the focus away from Domestic Issues and Mid Term Election.  Just a thought.

Transitional..

Shortage..

The Russia-Ukraine war is already taking a dramatic toll on the world economy and placing a huge swath of the world’s population, especially those in developing nations, at an increased risk of harm, the United Nations warned.

The crisis has caused a “perfect storm” of disruptions to global food, energy and financial markets that “threatens to negatively affect the lives of billions of people around the world,” the UN said in a new report.

But they have been greatly exacerbated by the West impact of unprecedented sanctions on Moscow that have thrown global markets off balance.

Russia was also the world’s top exporter of natural gas and its second-largest oil exporter. Russia and Belarus also export roughly one-fifth of the world’s fertilizers.

As a result of the Sanctions, food prices are at the highest levels ever recorded by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, up 34% from this time last year, according to the report.

Crude oil prices, meanwhile, rose 60% year-over-year, and fertilizer prices have more than doubled.

The Sanctions against Russia is a process of weaponizing economics, oil and food against the world.  Just a thought.

History..

The Abyss

President Joe Biden has sent a powerful message to oil and gas producers: He’s going to do everything in his power to put them out of business.

“Kiddo,” he told an activist on the campaign trail in 2019, “look in my eyes. I guarantee you, I guarantee you we are going to end fossil fuel.”

Sure enough, he halted federal lease sales the moment he took office. He also canceled the Keystone pipeline, pushed for companies to address the cost of climate change and moved to dry up their access to capital.

As a result, we are here with Gas prices cost sucking the poor people's food, money, and security.  Just a thought.

Domestic..

Walk Backs..

This is the third time in less than a year that Biden has publicly declared that the United States would use force to keep Beijing from seizing the island. Once again, the White House scrambled to clarify that the US position has not actually changed: the United States continues to adhere to a One China policy and maintain “strategic ambiguity” rather than clarity as to whether it would defend Taiwan.

This approach is a wise one that, as many administration officials recognize, has served the United States well. But repeated gaffes risk being interpreted as changes in policy.

They increase the chance of damaging peace and stability between the world’s two leading powers.

**Biden was traveling in Belgium and Poland. For God’s sake,” Biden added, “this man cannot remain in power.” referring to President Putin of Russia.

But the walk back only prompted the question of why Biden uttered the line in the first place and whether he had consciously meant to convey the message.

This President's comments is irresponsible and is not helping any of these situation except, increasing the distrust in US administration.  Just a thought.

Henry..

Kissinger, who served under Presidents Richard M. Nixon and Gerald Ford, said that "pursuing the war beyond that point would not be about the freedom of Ukraine ... but a new war against Russia itself."

Speaking on a panel at the World Economic Forum on Monday, Kissinger said, "Ideally, the dividing line should return to the status quo ante," meaning a return to the existing state of affairs before the war, suggesting that he thought that Russia should be allowed to retain Crimea, which it annexed in 2014.

Ukrainian MP has given what he called a "polite" reply to former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger's suggestion that Ukraine should be prepared to cede some territory.

Noone wants to listen to Peace, Some wants war to continue, Ukraine, USA etc, yet soon all western Urpe will drop the issue as they go through Economical Recession. So best of luck to those who sees Cashing in the war.  Just a thought.

Flight..

The White House has announced that a second Operation Fly Formula flight has been sourced for later this week.

Babies to budget their formula need.

Stark Contrast..

U.S. President Joe Biden, in Seoul before heading to Japan as part of his first Asia trip as president, had a simple message for North Korea's Kim Jong Un: "Hello... period," he told reporters on the last day of his visit to South Korea.
Biden said he was "not concerned" about new North Korean nuclear tests, which would be the first in nearly five years.
But his wry response when asked what message he had for Kim underscored the administration's low-key approach to the unresolved tensions with North Korea. It is a stark contrast with former President Donald Trump's showy threats, summits, and "love letters" with Kim. Is this President for Peace?
What a great engagement. Just a thought.

Plot..

The FBI agents probing since-debunked claims of a secret back channel between Donald Trump and a Russian bank believed that the allegations had originated with the Department of Justice when in fact they came from Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, who had shopped them to the bureau’s then-general counsel earlier.

The document was circulated to several top FBI officials including Peter Strzok, who oversaw the probe of Clinton’s email server as well as the Trump-Russia investigation, and was famously fired from the bureau in 2018 after the emergence of text messages he sent to his colleague and mistress Lisa Page in which he vowed to help “stop” Trump from winning the White House.

Was that a plot to deceive the American people?  Just a thought.

Destruction..

Says Abraham Lincoln said, "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we lose our freedoms it will be because we have destroyed ourselves from within.

  • Adding fuel to the fire in Ukraine. We want to defeat the Russians so we keep providing weapons rather than talk Peace.
  • Cancel the Key Stone pipeline and the Nord Strom 2 in Europe.  The Democratic party discovered " Climate Change," and "Pay Fare Share."  terminologies and that cost thousands of dollars on higher oil prices and Inflation on the little people.
  • The giveaway party of trillion of dollars out of control, fueling Inflation that was imaginary transitional two months earlier.
  • The attempt to control the inflation caused by the spending, is depleting the stock market.
  • Sanctions placed on Russians people which impacted the Global Economy,  shortage of food as the Biden said then and shortage of Baby formula today. As Biden  call it cost of fighting for Democracy.
  • Sanctions placed on other oil producer countries including Russia, Iran, Vinzuela, Libya, Iraq which creat world wide shortage of oil.  Prices will reach $250/Barrel soon.
  • What a way to deplete the Americans money pocket to be given to someone else. You Go Brandon.

The first shipment of more than 70,000 pounds of baby formula arrived in Indianapolis on a U.S. military aircraft from Germany on Sunday, part of the Biden Administration’s initiative to help boost supply and alleviate the national shortage.

Intervene..

I am not sure who is in charge in the White House.

President Biden said Monday the U.S. would intervene militarily if China were to invade Taiwan, in one of the most forceful and overt statements of American government support for Taiwan in decades.

Soon after he made the remarks the White House released a statement insisting, as Mr. Biden did after his comments in Tokyo on Monday, that there had been no change in official U.S. policy on Taiwan.

Who is running the White House here? And what is the White House message intended to say? Don't listen to this guy?!!!

Smell..

Biden faces challenges that are strikingly similar to those that bedeviled Carter: surging prices for gasoline and other consumer goods, serious new tensions with Iran and Russia, anemic poll numbers.

The danger for Democrats is that the bad odor surrounding Carter’s presidency the smell of failure that led fellow Democrats Bill Clinton and Barack Obama to marginalize him at four Democratic conventions has begun to waft onto Biden, who was the first senator to endorse

But for all the deja vu, it’s ahistorical to assume that today’s status quo will apply as the 2024 election gets underway. Given the underlying strength of the economy, Biden is likely to face a repeat of “stagflation” — a ruinous combination of slow growth and inflation.

In the 1970s, generous labor union contracts and automatic cost-of-living increases embedded inflation in the economy.

Skyrocketing energy costs, arguably the main driver of inflation, were a product of post-revolutionary supply disruptions in Iran and OPEC’s stranglehold on oil.

While Carter faced outside forces, Biden caused it himself.  Keystone pipeline, Russian Sanctions on oil, natural Gas, Money giveaway, and as a result Inflation sky rocketing. This is the New, Democratic Party, taking the country to a new direction.  Just a thought.

Malaise..

Jimmy Carter must be the sexiest man in the country,” Mario Cuomo, lieutenant governor of New York, joked privately to friends in 1979. “Everywhere I go, people say, ‘F--- Carter.’”
Let’s go Brandon” is today’s more public version of that refrain, routinely turning up on T-shirts, at Republican rallies and even during a Christmas Eve call-in event with President Biden and first lady Jill Biden.
Comparisons between the 39th president and the 46th have become inescapable: Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) tweeted that “Joe Biden is the new Jimmy Carter.” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) claimed that Biden is “worse than Carter.”
Carter has even crept into Democrats’ rhetoric: In a recent interview, Vice President Harris described a “level of malaise” amid the new surge in coronavirus cases, an echo of the “malaise speech” Carter delivered in July 1979. (Carter never used that word; he described the country as suffering from a “crisis of confidence.”)
However, the current Administration blame someone else.
Just a thought.

Gleefully..

Last Wednesday, during a speech on the economy, President Biden coined a new phrase — “ultra MAGA.”

“Let me tell you about this ultra MAGA agenda,” Biden said, using former president Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan — “Make America Great Again” — as a pejorative. “It’s extreme, as most MAGA things are.”

Then, in the subsequent days, Biden and his team continued to hammer Republicans in aggressive terms, attacking them as “MAGA” and “ultra MAGA.” Biden even dismissed his predecessor at one point as “the great MAGA king.”

It took scant time for Republicans to gleefully seize on the moniker as their own, triumphantly elevating it as a brand worthy of celebration. “I am ultra MAGA, and I’m proud of it,” said Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), the No. 3 House Republican, after a reporter Wednesday noted that she was “being called ultra MAGA.”

Weapon..

Antony Blinken, the United States Secretary of State, accused Russia of weaponizing food in its fight against Ukraine and creating a hunger crisis in many parts of the world as a result.”

Russia reportedly limiting access to its fertilizers, seeds and grains while bombing Ukraine’s ports, food prices have soared before they could fully recover from supply disruptions during the panic periods caused by the pandemic.

USA and Western Europe imposed sanctions on all aspect of lives for the Russian people. That on its own is creating food shortage worldwide. As President Biden clearly said that will cause food shortage.

However we just accusing the Russians of this food shortage and walk away of the problem that we are a big part of it.  Just a thought

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) states the average person drove about 1,200 miles per month in 2019. The average fuel mileage for cars is about 24 mpg, meaning most drivers will use almost 600 gallons of gas a year.

With the recent surge in gas prices, Americans will now pay over $2,400 for the same number of miles.  And the burden is increasing. Not to mention food, housing etc.

Fare Share or more taxes is the Democratic party line every time they fail to do, fare share.         Just a failed "Ideology" thought.

Formula..

President Joe Biden invoked the Defense Production Act to increase baby formula manufacturing to ease a nationwide shortage caused by the closure of a key plant in Michigan.

Biden has also directed the Health and Human Services Department and Department of Agriculture to use aircraft from the Defense Department to pick up infant formula from overseas that meets U.S. health and safety standards.

Parents across the nation have struggled to find formula for their infants since Abbott Nutrition shuttered its plant in Sturgis, Michigan due to bacterial contamination. Abbott issued a recall in February of powdered formula brands made at the plant after four infants who consumed products made there fell ill with bacterial infections, two of whom died.

So it was prompt reaction to the Ukranian assistant, but the formula?

A dollar short and three weeks late. Just a thought.

Bad..

The American economy isn’t looking great right now. U.S. GDP shrank last quarter, despite a hearty showing from American consumers. Inflation is high; markets are down; both wages and personal-savings rates show some troubling statistical signals. Is the U.S. destined to have a recession in 2022? I don’t know for sure. But here are nine signs that worry me.

Recession is coming for Europe. The U.K. economy is shrinking, and the central bank says inflation will exceed 10 percent this year. War in Ukraine has sent energy prices skyrocketing throughout Europe, and most economists believe that the continent’s economy will contract this year.

Europe seems very likely headed toward both stagnation and inflation the dreaded combination that, 50 years ago, gave birth to the awful term stagflation. If Europe shrinks while Chinese growth decelerates, American exporters will have a hard time contributing to growing GDP. Just an "Awful" thought.

Geneva..

One person was dead and five others were injured in a shooting during a meeting of Asian churchgoers in Southern California Sunday, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said.

The attack was reported at Geneva Presbyterian Church at 1:26 p.m. in the retirement city of Laguna Woods, the department said. Four victims suffered critical injuries, it said.

Sheriff’s officials said a group belonging to a Taiwanese church was at the facility when gunfire broke out.

Police sources said the man detained is in his 60s and of Asian descent.

No Sanctions..

The European Union said companies can keep buying gas without breaching sanctions, as it softened its stance in a standoff with Moscow over energy supplies.

The European Commission sent its revised guidelines to member states on Friday, a spokesperson said on Monday. In the updated recommendations, it said companies should make a clear statement that they consider their obligations fulfilled once they pay in euros or dollars.

EU sanctions “do not prevent economic operators from opening a bank account in a designated bank for payments due under contracts for the supply of natural gas in a gaseous state, in the currency specified in those contracts,” the commission said. “Operators should make a clear statement that they intend to fulfil their obligations under existing contracts and consider their contractual obligations regarding the payment already fulfilled by paying in euros or dollars, in line with the existing contracts.”

Trouble..

Michael Sussmann, a lawyer for Clinton’s 2016 campaign, is charged with lying to the FBI during a meeting at which he presented the bureau’s top lawyer with data that purported to show mysterious contact between computer servers of a Russia-based bank and Trump’s company, the Trump Organization.

Prosecutors say Sussmann misled the FBI by saying he wasn’t participating in the meeting on behalf of a particular client when he was actually there on behalf of the Clinton campaign and another client, a technology executive who had provided him with the data.

So really Hillary didn't want to or participated in this deception process?

Just a thought.

Hunger..

G-7 foreign ministers warned over the weekend that the war in Ukraine is increasing the risk of a global hunger crisis. This is because Ukraine has been unable to export grains, fertilizers and vegetable oil, while the conflict is also destroying crop fields and preventing a normal planting season.

This has increased the reliance on nations from other parts of the world for these products. But some of these countries, concerned about supplies for their own citizens, have imposed restrictions on exports. This is the case in India, for example, which announced a ban on wheat sales "to manage the overall food security of the country."  Indonesia's ban on palm oil exports, "make matters worse."

"We agreed with the United States to cooperate and coordinate our approaches in this area, because ... as a response to Russia's aggression against Ukraine and a corresponding increase in food prices.

Does anyone care about PEACE and starving poor people around the world?

California residents are fleeing to the country of Portugal and in many cases bringing problems that have made life more difficult for natives, according to the Los Angeles Times report.

A story titled "Welcome to Portugal, the new expat haven. Californians, please go home," reports that the number of Americans living in Portugal has risen by 45% in the past year with many of those Americans moving from California in order to escape high housing costs, pandemic lockdowns, and "Trumpian politics" in the United States.

The article explains that "resentment of newcomers is growing" in Portugal as California expats have become the "root of questions over gentrification, income disparities and immigration.

The Portuguese government has responded to the housing crisis by suspending its "golden visa" program in large cities that offered residency to foreigners who purchased homes that cost more than $500,000 euros which was a program "dominated" by Americans

We saw in today’s inflation data: 70% of the increase in prices in March came from Putin’s price hike in gasoline,” Biden said at a Poet LLC ethanol mill in Menlo, Iowa. “We need to address this challenge with the urgency that it demands.”

Biden said that families’ ability to fill their gas tanks should not “hinge on whether a dictator declares war and commits genocide half a world away.” Biden has previously said Russia is carrying out war crimes in Ukraine, but has stopped short of accusing Putin of genocide.

Let us try one lie after another. It is the honorable thing to do. You Go Guy.
