The administration’s proposal includes a multiyear path to citizenship for Dreamers, an end to the Diversity Visa lottery, a reduction in family-based migration, an increase in merit-based visas, and funding for additional barricades along the Mexican border.

None of those provisions come out of the blue. All of them were included in a bipartisan immigration bill that passed the Senate in 2013, with support from Schumer and Durbin, before dying in the House.

The Democrats don’t sound like a party that wants to tackle immigration. They sound like they’re looking for an issue to run on in the November midterm elections.

For a taste of what’s coming, Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader in the House, called the White House immigration proposal an effort “to make America white again.”

What color does Pelosi prefer?

The Food and Drug Administration is asking manufacturers of over-the-counter anti-diarrhea treatments to change the way they package their products to curb abuse by people with drug addictions.

The products, readily available in supermarkets and drugstores, are safe when used at the recommended maximum daily dose of four 2-milligram tablets. But in large quantities, the agency warned, these products can cause dangerous, irregular heartbeats and other problems potentially resulting in death.
Loperamide is sometimes referred to as “the poor man's methadone.” In large quantities, it induces a cheap, mild high and relieves withdrawal symptoms for drugs like hydrocodone, morphine or heroin.

Nashville mayor Megan Barry admitted to having an affair with the former head of her security detail.

"Today, I have acknowledged publicly that I have engaged in an extramarital affair with the former head of my security detail," Barry, elected in 2015, said in a statement. "I accept full responsibility for the pain I have caused my family and his. I am so sorry to my husband Bruce, who has stood by me in my darkest moments and remains committed to our marriage, just as I am committed to repairing the damage I have done."

The Media got one more subject of sex, the favorite to fill the air with.

Hostess Brands, Inc. is a bakery company formed in June 2013. It owns several bakeries in the United States that produce snack cakes under the Hostess and Dolly Madison brand names.

The company, which makes Twinkies, Ding Dongs and Ho Hos, is providing its employees one-time payments of $1,250 -- with $750 in cash and $500 in the form of a 401(k) contribution. In taking the step, Hostess cited last month's tax legislation, which slashed the rate for U.S. corporations.

The employee perks come after a painful history for Hostess's workforce. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2012 and was temporarily shut down, sending all of its employees packing. Hostess was resurrected in a deal orchestrated by Apollo Global Management and C. Dean Metropoulos & Co., but with a fraction of its former staff.

Porn star Stormy Daniels, who allegedly had sexual encounter with President Trump in 2006, appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" but did not answer any questions about the alleged affair. While a statement was released from Daniels earlier denying any affair, she appeared to hint on Kimmel's show that she did not sign it.

The Media is looking for something ..... and an affair would be the savior for many of the news people. This doesn't happen in France, Norway, ....

Swiss voters rejected by a wide margin a proposal to introduce a guaranteed basic income for everyone living in the wealthy country after an uneasy debate about the future of work at a time of increasing automation.

Supporters had said introducing a monthly income of 2,500 Swiss francs per adult and 625 francs per child under 18  would promote human dignity and public service.

Opponents, including the government, said it would cost too much and weaken the economy.
Four out of five voters opposed the bold social experiment launched by Basel café and allies in a vote under the Swiss system of direct democracy.

Conservative Switzerland is the first country to hold a national referendum on an unconditional basic income, but others including Finland are examining similar plans as societies ponder a world in which robots replace humans in the workforce.
Employers also heaved a sigh of relief that Switzerland, where unemployment is only around 3.5 percent, had not become the first country to embrace such a path-breaking measure.

With 52% divorce rate in USA and Europe, the society nucleolus is in trouble.  The divorce number may be higher if other issues considered, such as the children or for economic issues.

The distance between "being in love" and "being in Court", is few years and few kids.
Many TV programs dealing with couples present an  inaccurate message to the viewer.

In "Martin" a Tommy character who is handsome, attractive, and always dressed up. His friend remind him       "you got no job Tommy."

In "Every body loves Raymond" the main character "Debb" sees the husband as the last piece of the puzzle.  Oddly enough many puzzles are missing the last piece.

In many cases one person plan the whole adventure and the other is not there. An extended family occurred and the pressure became unbearable. Someone or both partner may have not bought into the new reality of what marriage became.

Marriage is so important to all. Its worth learn a little about it just to maintain a healthy family and society relationship . It intended to last for a whole a lot of life.  Just a thought

Mr. Hill, 36, was a longtime Napa vineyard manager who worked his way up from agricultural pest control to stake a claim as a maker of $100 wines.

He could hold a busload of tourists spellbound with homespun stories of a vintner’s life. Mr. Hill had a knack for marketing, getting Hill Wine Company bottles on the United Airlines planes shuttling American athletes to the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He continued to work buying and selling grapes and bulk wine and managing fields for big wineries and small growers.

It was all built on quicksand. The fancy winery was more than Mr. Hill could afford, and the expenses of operating the business quickly outpaced his income. He was soon deeply in debt and resorting to deceptions like substituting cheaper merlot and malbec grapes for the expensive Napa cabernet sauvignon advertised on the wine labels, according to court documents.

Napa County prosecutors have charged him with two felonies, on two occasions in October 2013 he stole grapes that his crew was harvesting for another winemaker and diverted them to his own winery.
Hill Wine has filed for bankruptcy and owes more than $8 million to creditors.
If you think no one is watching.!! Think again. Just a thought.

Authorities say a semitrailer driver is in custody after he was found to be transporting 76 immigrants in Texas.
The U.S. Border Patrol said in a statement that the immigrants were discovered at a checkpoint on U.S. 83, about 35 miles (56 kilometers) north of Laredo in South Texas.

The semitrailer stopped in the checkpoint's primary lane where the driver, a U.S. citizen, was questioned about his immigration status.

The immigrants are from Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Thirteen were unaccompanied minors. The Border Patrol says all of them are in good health.

I'll bet they all are young people to claim DACA. Good for Schumer.
This is theft, deceit, and human trafficking at its lowest point.

Joy Cooper, a 57-year-old Democrat who has been mayor of the city 20 miles north of Miami since 2005is charged with several corruption charges: money laundering, official misconduct and exceeding the limit on campaign finance contributions — all felonies that carry a maximum five-year prison sentence each. She’s also accused of soliciting contributions in a government building — that same now-vacant city hall office.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) suspended Cooper, prohibiting her from “performing any official act, duty, or function of public office

Joy Cooper vowed to “vigorously fight” corruption accusations, including the claim that she was on the receiving end of a Dunkin’ Donuts bag filled with $8,000 in soon-to-be-laundered cash.
Only time will tell.

A U.S. Navy aircraft carrier is expected to make a port visit to Vietnam in March, U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said. It would be the first such visit in the postwar era.
The planned visit to Danang is likely to irritate China, which is critical of U.S. moves to add to its military muscle in the region.
Mattis and his counterpart, Ngo Xuan Lich, discussed the planned carrier visit during a closed-door meeting, Pentagon spokesman Navy Capt. Jeff Davis said. Davis said the Vietnamese are awaiting final approval by more senior government authorities, but Mattis appeared to indicate it was a done deal.
"From postwar legacy issues to what Minister Lich called the positive trajectory of our military-to-military relations, I'm confident we're on the right trajectory, sir," Mattis said in his opening remarks at the presidential palace, where he and the president sat side-by-side beneath a large bust of revolutionary leader Ho Chi Minh.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte sought to lure voters away from anti-immigration lawmaker Geert Wilders, as campaigning for the March 15 national elections.
In a full-page newspaper message, Rutte said "we have to actively defend our values" against people who refuse to integrate or act antisocially. "Behave normally or go away."
Rutte, leader of the center-right People's Party for Freedom and Democracy, said he understands calls for people who don't integrate to leave the Netherlands. "I have that feeling, too," he said.
Wilders hit back and called Rutte "the man of open borders, the asylum tsunami, mass immigration, Islamization, lies and deception."
"I believe we are witnessing historic times," Wilders said, the day after U.S. President Donald Trump's inauguration.  Just a thought.

Kintner, of Papillion, retweeted a comment mocked three women pictured with signs protesting Donald Trump's comments about touching women inappropriately. Above the photo, Elder wrote: "Ladies, I think you're safe."

Kintner's office later released a statement saying: " I was not implying support for putting women in fear of their personal safety. I took down the retweet as soon as I became aware that it was being misconstrued."

Nebraska Democratic Party chairwoman celebrated Kintner's announcement.
"The Women's March just took down their first politician."

Some were bemused by his 2013 comment to a newspaper, which asked him what he considered the biggest mystery. Kintner responded, "Women. No one understands them. They don't even understand themselves."

He paid a $1,000 fine last year for misuse of state property, after he admitted to engaging in mutual masturbation in July 2015 with a woman using Skype, an online video-chatting service. Kintner reported the transgression to the Nebraska State Patrol after the woman threatened to expose the encounter unless he paid her $4,500.

Erica Kinsman is suing Jameis Winston for sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress arising out of forcible rape. That suit was initially reported on May 1, 2015 the day after Winston was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers [25 millions worth.]
Winston answered Kinsman’s claims and filed a countersuit of his own alleging defamation.

Kinsman says the university failed to respond to her allegations that Winston sexually assaulted Kinsman.   FSU cleared Winston of wrongdoing.

A prosecutor didn't press criminal charges, saying there were gaps in Kinsman's story and insufficient evidence for a conviction.   Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs said.

Florida State University says it's settling the lawsuit. FSU President John Thrasher announced  FSU will pay Erica Kinsman $250,000  and her attorneys $700,000.
