Feldenkrais is an easy-to-do, practical approach to expanding your possibilities. The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is not a political party, but a left-wing activist organization. DSA members typically run for office inside the Democratic Party rather than on an independent ballot line. Tensions exist between the DSA and mainstream "establishment" Democrats over political ideology, policy goals, and primary election challenges.  

 Mainstream Democrats support and reform a capitalist economy. The DSA views capitalism as inherently exploitative and seeks to transition toward a democratic socialist system where wealth and resources are publicly or democratically managed.  

 While both groups favor expanding social safety nets, DSA advocates for maximalist positions like single-payer "Medicare for All" with the elimination of private insurance, aggressive climate action via a Green New Deal, and systemic restructuring of policing. Establishment Democrats frequently distance themselves from more radical defunding or abolitionist slogans.

 The DSA seeks to replace or heavily reform capitalism with social ownership and economic democracy. The Republican Party champions laissez-faire capitalism, deregulation, and private enterprise.  
 

The DSA pushes for massive government intervention, universal healthcare, and robust public social safety nets. The Republican Party historically advocates for limited government, lower taxes, and reduced social spending. 

The "Dirty Break" or Realignment Strategy: Historically, the DSA adopted a strategy of working within the broader American left rather than forming a isolated third party that would constantly lose.

The Lindsay Clancy murder trial entered its fourth week in mid-August 2026 at the Plymouth Superior Court in Massachusetts, focusing strictly on whether she is criminally responsible for the January 2023 strangling deaths of her three young children. 

 The jury is tasked with deciding if she was legally insane or experiencing severe postpartum psychosis

Prosecutors contend that Clancy deliberately planned the killings, she was coherent enough to look up restaurants and send her then-husband, Patrick Clancy, out to pick up dinner and a CVS prescription to ensure she had enough uninterrupted time to strangle the children with exercise bands.  

The Defense: Argues that the former labor and delivery nurse was in the grip of severe bipolar disorder, overmedication, and postpartum psychosis. They state she heard voices instructing her to harm the children and herself, rendering her unable to understand the reality of her actions.

Democratic Rep. Jared Moskowitz took a victory lap on X Tuesday after he was declared the winner over a democratic socialist challenger in Florida's congressional primary, sending mocking "condolences" to Hasan Piker, a far-left streamer who backed Moskowitz's opponent.

Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)-backed Oliver Larkin lost to the more moderate Moskowitz in the Democratic primary in Florida's 25th District, The Associated Press reported.

The heavily redrawn congressional swing district is among roughly two dozen House seats that will likely determine whether Republicans hold on to their majority in the midterm elections.

"Democrats shouldn’t play hide the Piker now," Moskowitz said after his victory, according to Politico Playbook. "For all those people who thought it was a great idea to campaign with him, as Jay-Z once said, ‘Bring ’em out, bring ’em out.’ They shouldn’t be hiding him now."

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has opened a substantial early lead over California Gov. Gavin Newsom and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in a new Rasmussen Reports poll.

 The survey found that Harris received 37% support, compared with 14% for Newsom and 9% for Ocasio-Cortez, giving her a 23-point advantage over her closest tested rival. The result strengthens Harris’ position in this particular survey, although the 2028 field remains unsettled and no major Democrat has formally entered the race.

Ocasio-Cortez’s 9% support marks a decline from the 11% she received in May. Her slide comes while democratic socialism remains a prominent force in parts of the party. However, Syracuse University political science professor Grant Davis Reeher cautioned against reading too much into one early survey.

 “It is interesting that AOC has fallen, given the rising star of democratic socialism in Democratic primaries. Maybe there is some buyer’s remorse that’s being reflected in that poll. It’s still very early, and my hunch remains that Kamala Harris’ support is soft (although she has a core of staunch supporters),” Reeher said.

 Fetterman criticized the left flank of the Democratic Party and rejected the platform of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), calling their movement "extremist" and an "orgy of socialism". 

 He expressed concern that embracing socialist policies and anti-Israel stances within parts of the progressive wing creates a severe political liability for competitive races in upcoming midterm elections.  

 Fetterman emphasized that it is the responsibility of party members to "police their own ranks" and call out views they find unacceptable.

Elon Musk continues to attack Zohran Mamdani amid his latest announcement about a price plan for city-owned grocery stores in New York.

The SpaceX CEO took to his own social media platform, X, to share a video of the New York City mayor discussing how free, taxpayer-funded, city-run grocery stores would now require IDs to curb reselling.

"Oh, the irony is too much …" Musk penned. "What they’re doing won’t matter. AI & robots will actually deliver the free goods & services that those thieves pretend to offer, while actually stealing from others. Mamdani is a thief and a liar, plain and simple," he said in another post.

 He responded that the RFP (Request for Proposal) is succinct about the program being a way for New Yorkers to be able to afford food, not for people to make "a quick buck" by reselling. According to a report by Fortune, through her donations to Undue Medical Debt (formerly known as RIP Medical Debt) Scott helped transform a small non-profit into a national force.

Since 2020, her gifts totaling more than. $100 million have enabled the organization to abolish more than $40 billion medical debt across all 50 states, providing relief to millions of families.

The initiative of cutting down the medical debt is a small part of Scott’s larger philanthropic footprint. 

Scott has also given away more than $26 billion to more than 2,500 organizations which include Black colleges and universities, environmental groups, and economic equity nonprofits and more. As per Fortune report, the recent estimates suggest that her net worth stands at around $33.8 billion.

In another email, dated July 20, 2020, Dr. Fauci displayed a blatant disregard for congressional oversight, remarking “As usual [Rand Paul]’s full of s..t” and wrote to his Chief of Staff: “please delete this e-mail after you read it.”

“Dr. Fauci misled Congress and the American people. The evidence is clear: while publicly posturing as a champion of science, he was privately directing his staff to destroy federal records,” said Dr. Paul.

Despite Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s “rent freeze,” the costs for New York apartments continues to soar — except it’s not really “despite” at all: His policies either don’t touch the problems, or make them worse.

The average rent of an open Manhattan unit just hit an eye-watering $6,655 a month, report industry pros, a 10% jump from last year.

An average studio is now going for more than four grand;  

One major reason: Rent regulation insulates 1 million apartments more than one quarter of the entire city’s housing stock from market pricing.

Those tenants rarely leave, making open units more scarce, and so forcing up prices for the 1 million market-rate apartments.

And the rent freeze (which actually benefits higher-income folks more that lower earners) only makes things worse.

Plus, when a longtime rent-stabilized tenant finally moves out, 2019 state “reforms” make it unaffordable for landlords to bring the unit up to code, so even vacated apartments can’t get offered to new tenants.

All of this makes the city’s “rent inequities” even worse, with would-be newcomers facing the most ridiculous rents while the “haves” already here get an ever-better break.
