Militarism..

The prevalence of domestic gun violence disproportionately impacts veterans. Since 2001, 114,000 US veterans have died by gun suicide, a result of militarism and its impact on veteran health and American gun culture.
Direct involvement in war zones is highly correlated with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other mental illnesses in veterans, all of which are exacerbated by the military’s hegemonic masculine culture
The military creates and relies on a culture that emphasizes toughness, a moral responsibility to serve, prioritization of the unit and mission over personal needs, and taking the blame for actions and consequences over which individual members have no control. These values are so ingrained in military members that they often avoid seeking mental health care
Taking a break to get mental health care is at odds with the military’s expectation of perseverance and selflessness at all costs. Active members of the military and veterans who are indoctrinated with these values often do not receive needed mental health care because seeking such care is perceived as a weakness. This lack of treatment worsens veterans’ risk of suicide. Just a thoght.

Maybe..

Maybe people don't want to stop grieving …

Maybe they are terrified, that the grief they feel is the last thing they have left of that person.
That if they move on from the grief, they will lose the final connection.
The only tie.

Maybe people feel united with their loved one, in the realm just outside our reality.

United in pain and loss.
Banished to a parallel universe where they can both exist together,
still together.

Maybe that’s just too precious to move on from.

So if you are in this place, or you know someone who is,

maybe you can remind them that they are completely connected to their lost one,
in so many more wonderful ways than just the loss.
How can they not be?

Inch for inch the pain they feel equals the love they shared.

At the end of the day, it’s all just love.

And there is no need to banish either.

They can exist side by side, grief and love.
And they do, every day.

WHO..

The World Health Organization changed its recommendations for COVID-19 vaccines, suggesting that high-risk populations should receive an additional dose 12 months after their last booster.

The health agency defined high-risk populations as older adults, as well as younger people with other significant risk factors. For this group, the agency recommends an additional shot of the vaccine either 6 or 12 months after the latest dose, based on factors such as age and immunocompromising conditions.

The WHO defined the group including healthy children and adolescents as "low priority" and urged countries to consider factors like disease burden before recommending vaccination of this group.

Peace..

China’s proposal calls for a cease-fire and peace talks, and an end to Western sanctions against Russia. It says “relevant countries should stop abusing unilateral sanctions” and “do their share in de-escalating the Ukraine crisis.”

The document echoes Russian complaints that Western governments are to blame for the Feb. 24, 2022 invasion and criticizes sanctions on Russia.

It says sovereignty of all countries should be upheld, though it doesn’t specify what that would look like for Ukraine, and the land taken from it since Russia seized Crimea in 2014.
The proposal condemns a “Cold War mentality,” a rebuke of the United States and NATO, the US-European military alliance. “The security of a region should not be achieved by strengthening or expanding military blocs,” the proposal says. Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded a promise that Ukraine will not join the bloc before the invasion.
Other points call for a cease-fire, peace talks, protection for prisoners of war and stopping attacks on civilians, keeping nuclear power plants safe and facilitating grain exports.

Global..

By taking credit for striking a peace deal in the Middle East, Xi is seizing on waning American influence in the region and presenting Chinese leadership as an alternative to a Washington-led order he depicts as driving the world toward a new cold war.

When Beijing stepped into the role of mediator this week in the surprise rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Iran, it signalled a new level of ambition for Xi Jinping, China’s top leader, who has sought to burnish his image as a global statesman.

It seems that Peace may be attractive to many countries.
Just a thought.

Beijing..

Critics of the 2003 US invasion of Iraq have always believed the real motivation was taking control of the world’s second-largest proven oil reserves.

Even the architects of Operation Iraqi Freedom were convinced Iraqi oil revenues would quickly fund reconstruction of a US client state that would help redraw the contours of the Middle East in America’s favour.

But if oil and influence were the prizes, then it seems China, not America, has ultimately won the Iraq war and its aftermath — without ever firing a shot.

Today China, the world’s largest importer of crude oil, is Iraq’s biggest trading partner. Only Russia sells more oil to Beijing. Just a thought.

Strike..

President Joe Biden on Saturday notified Congress of his decision to authorize an airstrike in Syria this week against what the US said were Iranian-affiliated facilities.

The US airstrike came after a suspected Iranian drone struck a facility housing US personnel in the country, killing an American contractor and wounding five US service members.
The strikes, Biden said in his letter to Congress, were made, "in order to protect and defend the safety of our personnel, to degrade and disrupt the ongoing series of attacks against the United States and our partners, and to deter the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iran backed militia groups from conducting or supporting further attacks on United States personnel and facilities."
Are we going to leave Syria after 15 years of occupation?  Just a thought

Biden..

Spy-..

Since America didn’t want to have its pilots shot down in a U-2 the way Gary Powers had been over the Soviet Union in 1960, which caused a major diplomatic incident, they turned to Taiwan, and Taiwan was all too willing to allow its pilots to be trained and to do a long series of overflights over mainland China,” Chris Pocock, author of “50 Years of the U-2,” explained in the 2018 documentary film “Lost Black Cats 35th Squadron.”
At the time, the newly created U-2, also known as the Dragon Lady, seemed the ideal aircraft to undertake the mission. Its high-altitude capabilities, which, allowed it to reach a stunning and unparalleled altitude of 70,000 feet, made it immune to antiaircraft missiles.
According to a narrative presented by Pocock at a lecture, eight aircraft were taken down, and six Taiwanese pilots died in training. Five more pilots were killed over the Chinese mainland during the mission.

Coalition..

An American contractor was killed and five U.S. troops and a second U.S. contractor were wounded when a suspected Iranian-linked drone attacked a coalition military base in northeast Syria late Thursday, the Pentagon said in a statement.
The Pentagon said it launched retaliatory airstrikes on facilities used by groups affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
American airstrikes killed a total of 19 fighters in eastern Syria this week, a UK-based war monitor said Saturday, in the wake of an Iranian drone attack that left a US contractor dead and wounded five American troops.
Comment:
Why do we have contractors in Syria? What do they do and who pay them?
Why are we in Syria? Are we building the country or just fueling the civil war?
Just a thought.

Active..

2019 study of nearly 200,000 adults found that those who had a healthier lifestyle were less likely to develop dementia over the course of eight years, even if they were genetically at risk for dementia, and a 2020 study came to a similar conclusion.

Beyond general healthy habits, though, specific activities have been shown to boost brainpower and prevent cognitive decline: brain exercises.
Simply put, brain exercises are activities that engage your brain. They include everything from computer-based puzzle games and reading to playing sports and talking to people.
The key with brain exercises is that to really be effective, they have to require you to actively participate in them. Things that are more passive, such as watching TV, give you some visual stimulation, but there's no back-and-forth engagement,  “That's probably less a benefit to your brain than activities that you're more involved in.”

The US is rallying the western Allies to stand against Russia and provide more money and weapons for this war to continue.

On the other hand, China is attempting to bring peace to the region. Just an "odd" thought.

The Liberal Media and the Democratic party are very concern about the coming election for the president of the USA. This is where the power is focused, and Power is what some are living for.
President Biden has proven himself right of the bat. "No fossil Fuel", that doubled the prices of gas. Then he goes and released 180 million Barrel of oil and then approved the Alaska drilling permit. Same in every aspect.  Just a thought.

Peace..

Xi Jinping has met with Vladimir Putin at the start of a three-day visit to Russia -- his first since Moscow launched its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine last year -- as the Chinese leader seeks to portray himself as a peacebroker despite deep skepticism in Kyiv and the West.

Putin welcomed Xi at the Kremlin on Monday, just days after the International Criminal Court in the Hague accused the Russian president of committing war crimes in Ukraine and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Ukraine is expected to be a key point of discussion during Xi's visit, which will be closely watched for any potential impact on an entrenched conflict that has killed tens of thousands and triggered a mass humanitarian crisis.

Comment:

Talking about Xi leadership to bring peace to the world.

A 30 Democrats representative went to Biden asking him for a peaceful resolution to this war.

I thought Biden would be the first to want peace in the region but if the war ended. then the bad economy, and terrible inflation, would be front and center.  Just a thought.

Hoped..

2003..

The toll of the Iraqi invasion  of 2003 and the violent events that followed for decades is still being calculated, but it's clear it was high.

The Costs of War Project at Brown University counts as many as 210,038 Iraqi civilians who've died in violence since 2003, along with tens of thousands of Iraqi combatants — security forces and insurgents. [Other may calculate 1 million dead human]

There were 4,599 U.S. troops killed along with thousands more contractors working for the U.S.

The lessons of the invasion with near-consensus is about poor U.S. planning, tragically wrong assumptions and misleading claims about alleged chemical weapons stockpiles.

Unlike some Iraqi exiles who promised U.S. officials a grateful public and smooth transition and had the ear of the U.S. leadership, Iraqis in Baghdad expected chaos and danger from any regime change.   Just a thought.

Role..

Deport

The Biden administration has quietly resumed deportations to Russia, an apparent reversal of the position adopted after Russia invaded Ukraine just over a year ago, when such removals were suspended, the Guardian has learned.

News of resumed deportations to Russia came just over a year after reports that the Biden administration had suspended deportation flights to Russia, Ukraine and seven other countries in Europe during Russia’s attack on Ukraine. It is unclear when deportations to Russia resumed. The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

Migrants from Russia came to the US thinking they could seek asylum and be protected from deportation, freeing their trouble and hiding for a long while.

Back and forth........   Just a thought.

Nekkid..

Technically speaking, naked implies that a person is unprotected or vulnerable. It also describes something that is unadorned or without embellishment, as in the oft-mentioned naked truthNude, on the other hand, means one thing: unclothed.

Think of it this way: if you doff your duds to pose while descending a staircase for a tasteful painting done by a respected artist, then you're nude. If a bunch of paparazzi suddenly burst in through the studio door and take your picture without permission, you are suddenly naked.

And as the late great humorist Lewis Grizzard once pointed out, "Naked is when you ain't got no clothes on. Nekkid is when you ain't got no clothes on and you're up to something.

Assad..

Syrian President Bashar al Assad arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday for an official visit, accompanied by his wife Asma al Assad, at a time when more Arab states have signalled openness to easing the isolation of Damascus.                                                                                                                                      The visit was marked with more ceremony than his previous trip to the UAE last year, which had been his first to an Arab state since the Syrian civil war began in 2011, when Gulf states including the UAE backed rebels fighting to overthrow Assad.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          So, with US forces occupying large area in support of the Democratic Resistance.. One would wonder why, and how the Civil war started and the killing continue?  Just a thought.

Diet..

The Harvard diet is actually Harvard's Healthy Eating Plate, and it can be used as a guide for "creating healthy, balanced meals."

For the diet, you should prioritize vegetables and fruits for half of each meal and supplement the other half with whole grains and healthy proteins.
Here's a thorough breakdown of how to set your plate.

Use Olive, Canola, Soy, Corn, sunflower, Peanut (unless you're allergic)
What makes the eating plan unique is the disclaimer to stay active, which is almost as prominent as the breakdown of foods and drinks.
