Library..

Apparently, the National Archives and Records Administration missed classified documents for many years with Bidens and others. Time to look for them again. Or may be just declassify most.

Just a thought.

Not Necessary..

The UK isn’t preventing anyone under the age of 50 from getting the shot if it’s medically necessary, stressed Shaun Whelan, a spokesperson for the UK Health Security Agency, which oversees public health and infectious disease response.

Nursing and care home staff, social workers, homecare givers and other frontline workers will also still be eligible for a COVID vaccine, as will anyone who lives with someone who is immunosuppressed, the agency said.

And the policy change isn’t a reflection of concerns about the safety of COVID vaccines, as some social media users claim. It’s about using national healthcare resources effectively, as demand for vaccinations among those under the age of 50 is dropping off significantly.

Hate..

Love and hate are similar in being directed toward another person because of who he or she is. Despite this similarity, the two seem like polar opposites. Very often when we love someone, we want them to thrive. When we hate someone, we are more likely to wish they would suffer or at least change who they are.
It happens in every intimate relationship, a moment when frustration or upset or disdain grows so large that the thought crosses the mind: I hate him / I hate her. Love and hate — they aren't opposites, and it's not a zero-sum game where the more of one means the less of the other. Both feelings can stir, as they inevitably do.
For many of us, "I hate my partner" triggers guilt or shame, a sense that we're doing something wrong or that something is wrong with us for feeling this way. "I hate my partner" can also trigger fear that the relationship is in serious trouble, or was doomed from the start.
People who love one another don't feel this way, we mistakenly tell ourselves, not realizing that moments of strong dislike can occur even within the strongest partnerships.

Volunteer..

Contrary to what some might believe, depression is not a normal part of the aging process.  Depression can impact anyone at any age depending on genetics, brain chemistry, and environmental factors.
Everyone experiences days of sadness here and there, but symptoms of depression, loss of interest in hobbies or activities, changes in sleep, changes in appetite, withdrawing socially, being overly irritable, general apathy, and memory loss that’s not related to dementia.
Being proactive against depression and isolation. Take advantage of technology and all it offers.   Video calls, digital photo sharing, and social media can all serve a purpose in relieving isolation.
Regular exercise is a proven way to avoid depression.  Regular outdoor walks in nature lift the spirits and boost mood.  If a senior has physical limitations, chair exercises can be beneficial.
Find a sense of purpose.     Just a thought.

Prioritizing..

Lori Santos the psychology professor behind Yale University's most popular course, recently launched a free six-week version of the class aimed at teenagers, called "The Science of Well-Being for Teens." It was developed to address rising rates of anxiety, depression and suicide rates for kids between ninth and 12th grade.

For adults, this may mean pursuing money or success at work, and for teens this might mean focusing on the perfect grades and getting into the best colleges."
"The problem isn't that we're not putting work into feeling better it's that we're doing the wrong things, prioritizing the wrong behaviors."

Instead of focusing on reaching a financial milestone or perfect GPA, aim to program your brain with thoughts and behaviors that make you feel better.

Regularly connecting with friends, taking care of your health and learning how to accept negative emotions all contribute more significantly to your wellbeing than having the right job, car or relationships, she adds.

Cost..

For the first time in more than a year, owners of traditional gas-powered cars saved more money at the pump than those driving their electric counterparts, according to a consulting firm.
As inflated gas prices came down at the end of last years, the fuel cost for most Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles was comparatively cheaper in the final quarter of 2022 than charging an electric vehicle (EV), analysts with the Anderson Economic Group (AEG) said.
The cost to drive 100 miles in a gas-powered car dropped by more than $2 in October, November and December 2022. And with electricity prices rising last year, mid-priced ICE cars became more economical than EV cars for the first time in 18 months, the firm said.

Love Lost..

Communication..

Alive..

Studies about marriage counseling have shown that most married couples try hard to resolve their issues before they seek therapy.

The shared goal is to save the marriage. But once they do decide to see a counselor, married men and women often bring dramatically different relationship complaints to their sessions.

According to one recent study, women are more likely than their male partners to be concerned about sexual intimacy, child-rearing, and jealousy. Both men and women are likely to cite a lack of emotional intimacy, a lack of communication, a loss of trust, and stress outside the relationship as factors that led them to seek marriage counseling.

The main concern voiced by married women is that their marriage is stale, and the hubby doesn’t want to do anything about it. Bottom line: Any and all relationships need energy and freshness to keep them alive and interesting.

Caution..

This coming recession, high inflation, high gas prices and food prices, food shortage, reaction to the Ukraine war is causing severe economic challenges that engulfed everyone and the world. President Biden, said in variety of chances, No fossil fuel, Shortage of food is real, the sanctions will impact EU, US and poor countries. It is manmade disaster.

Just a thought.

Expected..

President Biden is having something of a bad month at work. Following the discovery of a number of classified documents at his old civilian office and in the garage of his private Delaware residence, yet more top-secret files have been unearthed in a laborious secondary search of Biden's Wilmington mansion just this weekend.

The documents reportedly relate to two different periods of his political career. This is the fourth instance since November that classified materials have been found on Biden's private property.

I'll bit more searches will lead to more problems than just classified documents.  Just a thought.

This image has a great meaning...

Got..

Bivalent..

Americans who got their COVID-19 bivalent booster vaccine are not fully protected against getting sick, according to a new report.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a report that said the updated boosters were just 48% effective at preventing symptomatic infection from the XBB.1.5 subvariant for up to three months.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has a 50% efficacy threshold for an effective vaccine — meaning the bivalent shots fall just below their benchmark.
However, the CDC noted that the main function of the vaccine is to prevent hospitalization and death, rather than transmission and minor illness from the virus  and the booster is still expected to provide protection against severe illness.
Since Covid-19 impacted mainly older people....   Many of these mandates were perhaps not needed for the majority.  Just a thought.

Wasteful..

Aging..

A new study of more than 29,000 older adults has identified six habits from eating a variety of foods to regularly reading or playing cards that are linked with a lower risk of dementia and a slower rate of memory decline.

Eating a balanced diet, exercising the mind and body regularly, having regular contact with others, and not drinking or smoking these six “healthy lifestyle factors” were associated with better cognitive outcomes in older adults, in a large Chinese study conducted over a decade and published in the BMJ on Wednesday.

While researchers have long known that there is a link between dementia and factors such as social isolation and obesity, the size and scope of the new study adds substantial evidence to a global body of research that suggests a healthy lifestyle may help brains age better.

Gold..

The US’s transition to electric vehicles could require three times as much lithium as is currently produced for the entire global market, causing needless water shortages, Indigenous land grabs, and ecosystem destruction inside and outside its borders, new research finds.

It warns that unless the US’s dependence on cars in towns and cities falls drastically, the transition to lithium battery-powered electric vehicles by 2050 will deepen global environmental and social inequalities linked to mining – and may even jeopardize the 1.5C global heating target.

The global demand for lithium, also known as white gold, is predicted to rise over 40 times by 2040, driven predominantly by the shift to electric vehicles. Grassroots protests and lawsuits against lithium mining are on the rise from the US and Chile to Serbia and Tibet amid rising concern about the socio-environmental impacts and increasingly tense geopolitics around supply.

The damage happened during this President's Inflation, high Food prices, Food shortage world wide, South Border Migrants, Covid-19 Death, high Gas Prices, Cancelling Keystone XL pipe line, Nord stream Pipe line, and initiating and supporting the Ukraine war and destruction, will take many years to recover from it all. Many years.

Stand offish..

United States and Germany tried to resolve a stand-off that has so far prevented the West from sending heavy tanks to Ukraine.

Berlin has so far blocked allies from sending its Leopard 2 tanks, workhorse of militaries across Europe. Washington and many Western allies say the Leopards - which Germany made in the thousands during the Cold War and exported to its allies - are the only suitable option available in big enough numbers.

A German government source said Berlin would lift its objections if Washington sends its own Abrams tanks. But U.S. officials say they have no plans yet to send the Abrams, which runs on powerful turbine engines seen as using too much fuel for Kyiv's strained logistics system to supply at the front.

The West is saying "Let the killing continues." We really care. Just a thought.

Agesim..

Many seniors live alone, with limited means to get out and socialize. They have lost spouses, friends, neighbors, doctors, and other associates. As a result, they are highly susceptible to feelings of loneliness and isolation.

As we age, we are naturally less able to do for ourselves. Declining physical health, unstable balance, falls, memory loss, dementia, impaired mobility, frailty…all these factors and more contribute to greater reliance on others.

Retirement, lack of dependent children, empty calendars, failing memory, weakening faculties are just some of the contributors to a sense of insignificance among the elderly.

Add to that ageism, so prevalent in our youth-obsessed culture, and it’s easy to understand why seniors can become despondent.

Sold..

Representative Nancy Pelosi's decision to sell her Google stocks just a month before the Department of Justice (DOJ) and eight states sued the tech giant has raised eyebrows as to whether she knew a massive antitrust lawsuit was coming.
The DOJ announced Tuesday that it was suing Google for abusing a monopoly over a "wide swath" of online advertising tools and corrupting "legitimate competition in the ad tech industry" by doing so.
Shortly after the announcement, some social media users noticed that Pelosi sold up to $3 million of her Google stocks four weeks earlier. Congressional filings show that the California Democrat sold 10,000 shares of Alphabet Inc.
Just a thought.

Slip-Up..

The slipup occurred as Biden listed statistics for various armaments sent by Ukraine's allies to aid the country against the invading Russians.

President Biden said such supplies were "all to help counter Ukraine's brutal aggression that's happening because of Russia."

The president seemingly meant to say "Russia's brutal aggression." He paused briefly after he said aggression, then added the statement about Russia to the end of the sentence.

The gaffe occurred during Biden's announcement that the United States would provide Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's forces with 31 M1 Abrams battle tanks.

Transparent..

President Joe Biden said that the world will experience food shortages as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and production increases were a subject of discussions at a Group of Seven meeting on Thursday.

“‘It’s going to be real,‘ Biden said at a news conference in Brussels. ‘The price of the sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia. It’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well.'”

Corruption..

A string of resignations, dismissals and reassignments shook Ukraine's government Monday as Ukrainian President and others confirmed the shakeup of high-level positions.
A liaison for Ukraine's Cabinet informed the country's parliament that it had dismissed six deputy ministers and five regional administrators for undisclosed reasons.
Zelenskyy said "we have already made personnel decisions—some today, some tomorrow—regarding officials at various levels in ministries and other central government bodies, in the regions, and in the law enforcement system."
Deputy Defense Minister  submitted a hand-written resignation note a day after a news report accused his office of corruption.
I'm shocked, "shocked I'll tell you." The American dollars is pouring in, and as Pres. Biden said "they're defending democracy."
Just a "Dismissed" thought.

Catatonic..

“Boredom is a real thing. The human species needs something productive to do. Otherwise, life feels aimless,”

“A lot of retirees say they’re busy. Busy? Doing what? Doing something 18 levels below your pay grade is not good for you.” Just a thought.

Outfit..

Retire..

When we retire from our jobs we may be giving up more than staff meetings, desk lunches and a paycheck. The social interaction and mental challenges found through work can be good for our mental health. Working longer, making decisions and being surrounded by different people is good for your brain health, according to new research.

In the first year of retirement, there’s a 30% reduction in short-term memory, said Mitch Anthony, author of “The New Retirementality” and retirement coach.

“Boredom is a real thing. The human species needs something productive to do. Otherwise, life feels aimless,” said Anthony. “A lot of retirees say they’re busy. Busy? Doing what? Doing something 18 levels below your pay grade is not good for you.”

Mary Ann Pessa

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

God is our arefuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

The church in the Gardens had a Prayer meeting on Sunday 1/22/2023 in Memory of our friend Mary Ann Pessa.

Stove..

What's the world coming to?  Can't figure what the truth is.  Just a thought.

Folks..

U.S., German and other European leaders became locked in an increasingly ugly tit-for-tat over whether to send tanks to Ukraine. As language got heated behind the scenes, neither the U.S. nor Germany would budge.

Ultimately, President Joe Biden decided it was more important to show a unified front and send the tanks, a move that could go down as one of the most consequential decisions in the multinational effort to arm Ukraine.

Biden's can't solve people's issues in USA then start a West/East War that no one will be a winner.   Just a thought.

Around..

Handled..

Fade..

How can this crisis fade easily?
Simple, create another major problem with Russia, China, North Korea, Germany...etc We call it National Security.

DOJ..

On November 2nd, lawyers emptying Biden's office at the Penn Biden Center in Washington DC, happened upon classified documents.

They alerted the National Archives, the DOJ. No one told the public anything as the country voted in the November 8th midterms.

On November 9th the FBI started a preliminary investigation. In December, more documents turned up. This time at Biden's Wilmington home.

That apparently lit a fire under the U.S. attorney tapped to look into this mess and he recommended Garland appoint a special counsel.

Still, the American people hadn't heard a peep until January 9th, that is, when CBS News reported on the November discovery.

On January 10th, Biden faced reporters' questions for the first-time and he was shocked, shocked like really shocked, to discover that there were classified documents from 10 years ago close to his beloved car.

a Limb..

The "Trusted" Media going on an active drive to say, "what Biden did really is sort of expected."

Corvette..

When the Justice Department lost patience with Donald Trump, who was storing classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, they launched an unprecedented Hollywood-style raid on the former president's home – complete with 30 federal agents and a comprehensive search of Melania's wardrobe.
But when it turns out that Biden was keeping secret material in his personal office and Delaware garage alongside his prized Corvette, suddenly it's like Seinfeld's Uncle Leo stealing from the bookstore, 'I'm an old man!'
Where was the raid on Wilmington?

The horses have now bolted the barn. The opportunity to conduct a credible investigation has passed. The special counsel probe has been spoiled and the bungling Justice Department has bungled another one.

Tubes..

Biden Legacy one disaster after another with uncontrolled inflation which is really taking the country down the tubes.

Tank U..

Biden administration is stuck in a standoff with Germany over whether to send tanks to Ukraine ahead of a key meeting of Western defense leaders in Germany on Friday.

In recent days, German officials have indicated they won't send their Leopard tanks to Ukraine, or allow any other country with the German-made tanks in their inventory to do so, unless the US also agrees to send its M1 Abrams tanks to Kyiv -- something the Pentagon has said for months it has no intention of doing given the logistical costs of maintaining them.

"They have us over a barrel," a senior Biden administration official said, adding that the Germans are demanding tanks for tanks, and not budging on considering any other offers the US has made to spur Berlin to send the Leopards.

Comment:

What Germany wants is the relationship in Europe, Peace after the war. While the US wants to continue the war and destruction using the Ukraine as a bate.

The Russia/Ukraine war caused massive problems in Europe and Africa with food shortage and unaffordable prices, this shouldn't continue.

Just a "Tank U" thought.

Doc..

" Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones " is a proverb used in several European countries pertaining to hypocrisy.

It means that "One who is vulnerable to criticism regarding a certain issue should not criticize others about the same issue." Just a thought.

Kidnapped..

Bonnie Sweeten called 911 to report that she and her 9-year-old daughter had been kidnapped by two Black men in a truck. She claimed she was calling from the trunk.

Sweeten was found hiding out and living it up with her daughter in Disney World.

Sweeten was using the name of a former co-worker whose bank accounts she had drained and whose identity she had stolen.

later she had stolen money from a law firm she worked at, its clients, and even a 91-year-old relative afflicted with dementia.

She was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Amalgam..

Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said Russia must be given the opportunity to one day rejoin the international system following any peace deal in Ukraine and dialogue with the country must be ongoing.

It was important to avoid an escalation of conflict between Russia and the West.

This, he said “may cause Russia to reevaluate its historic position, which was an amalgam of an attraction to the culture of Europe and a fear of domination by Europe.”

“The destruction of Russia as a state that can pursue its own policies will open up the vast area of its 11 time zones to internal conflict and to outside intervention at the time when there are 15,000 and more nuclear weapons on its territory.”

The last part seems to be Biden's Corvette hidden documents.

Just a thought.
