Vaccinated...

REP. ADRIANO ESPAILLAT (D-NY)

"I am following guidance from my physician and quarantining at home after having tested positive for COVID-19," he said.

"I have been administered both shots of the COVID-19 vaccine and have continued to be tested regularly, wear my mask and follow the recommendation guidelines.

I will continue my duties representing New York's 13th congressional district remotely until I have received clearance from my doctor. Just a thought.

I encourage all residents to follow public health guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus."

Bubbles...

Americans are more polarized today than ever at least by some measures.
A growing body of research suggests that social media is accelerating the trend, and many political scientists worry it’s tearing our country apart.
Facebook, Reddit, and Twitter have all become sites of ferocious political argument. While polarization definitely plays out on social media, the evidence to date suggests that its impact is subtler than you might think.
Social media, it seems, amp up moral and emotional messages while organizing people into digital communities based on tribal conflicts.
We are increasingly live in online filter bubbles that only expose us to the ideas we already agree with. This is consistent with a broader psychological literature on confirmation bias, showing that we are more likely to seek out and agree with views that align with our pre-existing beliefs.
Selecting our preferred news sites and curating our social media accounts potentially makes it easier to listen to groups or individuals who validate our own worldviews.  Just a thought.

Feelings...

For the first time in recent history a breach of the US Capital security occurred. This doesn't happen any where in the world.

For the first time ever the politicians faced demonstrators face to face without massive security apparatus in front of them for protection. The remaining security corralled the politicians out to a hidden and more secure places in the capital to separate them from the demonstrators. Additional security resources took forever to show up to take control of the capital.. Then and only then, the politicians felt safe again.

The fear, anxiety, and not knowing what is happening, where to go or hide was unbearable for these highly protected politicians. A terrible endless feeling of fear is the status of the politicians in the capital at that time. In addition to huge anger at the security service for this unexpected melt down.

With this explosion of rollercoaster emotions, some one must be responsible.Who would that be?

However, this is the same feelings regular Americans faced in so many cities. The politicians not supporting the police, with instruction to stand down, the looters took advantage of it for days.

All this violence was expected and projected by all yet...

What happened in the capital is the same as what happened to regular Americans in many cities around the country.  Same feelings.  Just a thought.

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.
Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself.

“Be who you are and say what you feel if you asked, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.”

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

“You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”

“Don't walk behind me; I may not lead.

Suffolk...

Covid-19 Cases in Suffolk County is at a level that makes the outbreak here “severe,” according to a risk assessment group affiliated with Georgetown University. Suffolk currently has 121 cases per 100,000 residents.

Since the New Year, the risk of contracting the virus in Suffolk has been “extreme” — because daily new cases rose above 75 per 100,000 people  under metrics published by the Harvard Global Health Institute.

New York State as a whole crossed into the extreme risk category, when daily new cases first exceeded 75 per 100,000. As of yesterday, that number had ticked up to 79 per 100k.

Suffolk’s 121 cases per 100,000 residents ranks the county fourth highest in New York State, behind the upstate counties of Herkimer, Cayuga and Lewis, according to data collected and published by the nonprofit risk assessment group,

One of the best poem in Arabic that we all can associate ourselves with. Someone we have, hold and enjoy or someone we use to have and time was short. yet the memory last for ever.
