Although millionaires have extravagant lifestyles and love to splurge on luxury, some people like to keep things simple despite amassing a significant amount of wealth. Such is the tale of Geoffrey Holt who lived a humble life in a small town and left a multi-million dollar gift for the townspeople. 

Holt, a caretaker of a mobile home park used to be dressed in threadbare clothes and was often spotted by his neighbors riding his lawn mower, as he had given up his car. He was often seen reading a newspaper or simply sitting there and watching cars pass by.

The man didn't have a car or furniture when he died and was even seen doing odd jobs apart from giving driving lessons to high schoolers. 

His mobile home in a park was almost empty and didn't even have a TV. "He seemed to have what he wanted, but he didn't want much," said Edwin "Smokey" Smith, Holt's best friend and former employer. But it was only after Holt died that everyone found out that he was a multimillionaire.

“Coffee is consumed by large segments of the world population,” study collaborator Robert S. Chapkin,  “It has well-documented salutary effects in humans, similar to the Mediterranean diet.”

“What we’ve shown is that some of those effects may be linked to how coffee compounds interact with this receptor, which is involved in protecting the body from stress-induced damage.”

Chapkin told Newsweek that NR4A1 is a “nuclear receptor,” with which small molecules in coffee can engage. Chapkin compared it to a key being inserted into a lock.

“NR4A1 is the lock and coffee contains the keys,” Chapkin said. “Once NR4A1 is bound by coffee-derived small molecules, e.g., caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid and ferulic acid, its ability to bind to DNA and regulate the expression of select genes (in the cell nucleus) is modulated.

“This partly explains how coffee can improve human health and reduce the risk of several chronic diseases of aging.”

The clip appears to show Jeffries speaking to reporters in Washington, D.C.

The triple-murder trial of Lindsay Clancy ended in a mistrial on Friday, September 4, 2026, after the jury became hopelessly deadlocked. Following nearly six weeks of proceedings and roughly 38 hours of deliberations over seven days, the 12-person jury stated "with a heavy heart" that they could not reach a unanimous verdict. The deadlock was reportedly split 11 to 1, with a single holdout juror refusing to agree to an acquittal. 

The trial stemmed from the tragic January 2023 events in Duxbury, Massachusetts, where Clancy strangled her three young children—before jumping from a second-story window, an action that left her paralyzed. While the physical acts were not disputed, the trial focused heavily on her mental state:  

The Defense argued that Clancy was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder, rendering her legally insane and not criminally responsible for her actions. 

The Prosecution countered that the killings were calculated and intentional, highlighting that she sent her husband out on an errand beforehand and had never documented hearing commanding voices with clinicians prior to that day.

In a world overflowing with advice on success, relationships and happiness, it's easy to believe there is a perfect formula for living. Yet one of history's most influential psychologists, Carl Jung, offered a striking reminder that what works for one person may not work for another.

At its core, the quote is about individuality. Jung suggests that every person has a unique personality, life experience, set of values and purpose. 

Advice that transforms one person's life may leave another feeling restricted or unhappy. The metaphor of a shoe captures this idea perfectly.   Likewise, career choices, relationships, lifestyles and definitions of success cannot be applied to everyone's 

Jung's words encourage people to resist the temptation to imitate others simply because their lives appear successful. Society often promotes a single blueprint for happiness, whether it is achieving wealth, getting married by a certain age or following a conventional career path.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., told Fox News Digital his Republican colleagues are right to be troubled that the Justice Department spied on lawmakers to aid former special counsel Jack Smith’s investigations.

I think we need to have more facts. Look into it. Republicans are rightly concerned about the possible breach of norms and improper access to email," Blumenthal told Fox News Digital Wednesday.

The GOP-led Senate Judiciary Committee released a trove of documents Tuesday showing that Smith’s investigation into President Donald Trump included the Department of Justice collecting text messages between 44 members of Congress, among them Republicans and Democrats, and White House staff.
