Breana Talbott, 18, entered a Denison, Texas, church bloody and wearing only a shirt, bra and underwear. She was visibly cut and scratched.
Denison police had been frantically searching for the woman for roughly three hours.

Police searched the wooded area where she said she was assaulted. There they recovered clothing and other "personal effects" belonging to Talbott.
Police believed the crime scene had been staged and a medical examination did not uncover any evidence of sexual assault. Talbott confessed the entire thing had been a hoax.  Amateur....

Eric Mindich, a one-time Goldman Sachs star trader who jumped into the hedge fund industry, is throwing in the towel on his $7 billion firm.    Eton Park Capital Management was among the biggest fund startups -- is returning client money after 13 years.

“Recently, a combination of industry headwinds, a difficult market environment and, importantly, our own disappointing 2016 results have challenged our ability to continue to maintain the scale and scope we believe necessary to pursue our investment program consistent with our founding principles,”

The decision follows the fall of another Goldman alumnus who ran a multibillion-dollar hedge fund. In September, Richard Perry called it quits, announcing that he was closing his main fund after almost three decades. Last year was the toughest for hedge fund closures since 2008. Liquidations totaled 1,057, according to Hedge Fund Research Inc.   Just a thought.

The Coloradoan reports attorneys for the city of Fort Collins notified a federal appeals court of their intent to challenge a preliminary injunction blocking a section of the city's public nudity law.

In granting the injunction last month, the judge said he would likely find the city ordinance that makes it a crime for women but not men to show their nipples unconstitutional.
The Fort Collins City Council voted to keep the law in 2015, rejecting a growing movement to remove gender-specific indecency codes. Two women then sued to challenge the law.

Maine’s state fire marshal says a man burned down his parents’ house and killed three pets while trying to exterminate ants in his basement with matches.
Investigators say 21-year-old Doucette was trying to incinerate the ants with wooden matches when one of them ignited combustible materials. The fire quickly spread to the rest of the house.
He was treated for smoke inhalation and burns after he carried some burning items out of the house. They say the house is owned by his parents, who were not home at the time.  Authorities say the fire killed two cats, one dog.
