Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad have each won the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize for their work to end the use of sexual violence as a weapon of war in armed conflict.

As a gynecologist, "Mukwege and his staff have treated thousands of patients who have fallen victim to such assaults. Most of the abuses have been committed in the context of a long-lasting civil war that has cost the lives of more than six million Congolese."

Murad is a Yazidi woman from the northern Iraqi town of Sinjar, who was held as a sex slave by ISIS, she told CNN in an interview last year. In 2016, at age 23, she was made a UN goodwill ambassador for the dignity of survivors of human trafficking.

These "Civil Wars" cost Millions of death, in Africa, Iraq, Syria, and Libya. Some of these wars we may have started and fueled it with weapons, took sides, supported some, and in all cases, the minority Christians became Homeless, all under the umbrella of Democracy.
