Fall in line..

Not a single Democrat believes that Vice President Kamala Harris will win on Tuesday.
A Democratic strategist is quoted as saying, “People are nervous, and they’re trying to cover their ass and get a little ahead of Election Day. It’s based on anxiety, stakes and the unique nature of this cycle.
We didn’t have a traditional process for this election. We didn’t have a primary. People just had to fall in line.”
Again, this is coming from a Democrat. They had to just “fall in line” because they were ordered to do so.
Then, any hope of an open convention was further dashed by the combined backroom dealings of the Democratic National Committee, former President Barack Obama, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).
Immediately after those backroom dealings, every nonconforming Democrat had to accept that Harris, without getting one vote in the primary, was being installed by the machine to replace the sputtering President Joe Biden. With that selection predetermined, Biden officially announced on July 21 that he would not be running for reelection and was endorsing Harris as his replacement.

Garbage..

In a call organized by the Hispanic advocacy group Voto Latino, Biden responded to a comic at Trump’s rally who called Puerto Rico a “floating island of garbage.” Biden’s initial comments were garbled.

“Just the other day, a speaker at his rally called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. Well, let me tell you something, I don’t, I don’t know the Puerto Rican that I know, the Puerto Rico where I’m fr — in my home state of Delaware. They’re good, decent honorable people,” he said.

The president then added: “The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it’s un-American. It’s totally contrary to everything we’ve done, everything we’ve been.”

The Netherland..

The Right Dutch government announced unprecedented measures Friday aimed at reining in migration, including a re-introduction of border checks, making the Netherlands the latest European nation to take a hardline stance against migration as anti-foreigner sentiment surges throughout much of the continent.

Among the measures that will be swiftly sent to parliament for approval are a move to restrict family members who can join a person who has been granted asylum in the Netherlands, cutting the length of temporary visas and declaring parts of civil war-ravaged Syria safe so that authorities can reject asylum applications from migrants from those regions.

Syrians form the largest national group among migrants arriving in the Netherlands.

The announcement comes a week after European Union leaders looked at ways to tackle migration and turn the 27-nation bloc into a Fortress Europe after years of striking a more welcoming tone. Germany, one of the Netherlands’ neighbors, also recently reintroduced some border checks and the new French government has also pledged a hardline approach to migration.

Just a thought.

Biden-omics..

Job creation in October slowed to its weakest pace since late 2020  during Covid time.

Nonfarm payrolls increased by 12,000 for the month, down sharply from September and below the Dow Jones estimate for 100,000, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. In what had already been expected to be a downbeat report, October posted the smallest gain since December 2020.

Reinserted..

President Biden reinserted himself into the contentious campaign to succeed him, appearing to call former President Donald Trump's supporters "garbage" on a video call with Latino activists Tuesday evening. Republicans seized on the comments, while the White House offered a different explanation of what Mr. Biden said.

The president was responding to a joke made at a Trump rally Sunday at Madison Square Garden by comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, in which Hinchcliffe called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage."

The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters," he seemed to say. "His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable."

But the White House denied that the president had said this about Trump supporters and released a transcript with a statement noting that "supporters" was in fact "supporter's," and Mr. Biden was referring to Hinchcliffe and his joke
