This is a very important case and the gov. placed the finest detectives to get to the bottom of it and they did.
The truth came out, the plot was discovered, and the payment was documented.
Just make it a short story and move on for your own sake. No one would get a good publicity out of it not even those who fake the news. Just a thought.
