Excessive..

Governor Kathy Hochul on Friday forcefully denounced the federal indictment of former FBI Director James Comey and the ongoing investigation into New York Attorney General Letitia James calling both actions politically motivated and orchestrated by former President Donald Trump.
Hochul described the situation as “a new low for our nation,” warning that the United States cannot allow its justice system to be manipulated for retribution.
Comment.
That's not a new law.
In August 2025, a New York appeals court decided to throw out the massive monetary penalty of approximately $500 million imposed on Donald Trump in a civil fraud case brought by Attorney General Letitia James. The court ruled that the penalty was "excessive," violating the Eighth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

On Thursday night  Apple rep. said that it was removing apps from its App Store that can be used to anonymously report sightings of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The move came after pressure on Apple from Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The FBI said last week that a gunman who killed two detained immigrants and wounded a third detainee at an ICE facility in Dallas had recently searched apps tracking the presence of ICE agents.

“We created the App Store to be a safe and trusted place to discover apps,” Apple said in a statement to NBC News on Thursday.

Based on information we’ve received from law enforcement about the safety risks associated with ICEBlock, we have removed it and similar apps from the App Store,” the company said.

Comment:

Wonder if an ICE tracker is helpful to anyone. It will create additional fear to those who are concerned.

Chicago..

Federal agents were seen rappelling from a Black Hawk helicopter onto the rooftop of a five-story apartment complex in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood during the operation, which was carried out late Tuesday evening.

At least 300 United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), FBI, and U.S. Border Patrol agents launched the sweeping operation, designed to target suspected Tren de Aragua gang members. The Venezuelan gang is a highly organized crime syndicate that U.S. authorities have accused of trafficking, violence, and other cross-border crimes. It comes after Trump shockingly deployed the military to another 'war ravaged' state no one suspected.

Roughly 30 undocumented immigrants suspected of gang affiliation were taken into custody.

Fraud..

This week, federal officials made an astounding announcement: Nearly half of all immigrants in greater Minneapolis were found to have committed some form of immigration fraud.

The fraud, uncovered in a September sweep, came in all kinds — sham marriages, fake death certificates and “other bizarre schemes,” as US Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edley put it.
As far back as 2008, the State Department temporarily suspended one of the family reunification programs used by Somali immigrants when DNA testing of applicants found that 80% of all its claimed family relationships were fake.
