Anti-Aging..

Not only can the drug metformin help to effectively manage type 2 diabetes, it may also give older women a better chance of living to the grand old age of 90, according to new research – thanks, it seems, to a variety of anti-aging effects.
We found that metformin initiation increased exceptional longevity compared with sulfonylurea initiation among women with type 2 diabetes."
Metformin has been around for decades, and is considered a gerotherapeutic: relates to therapeutic interventions aimed at targeting the biological processes of aging in order to prevent or treat age-related diseases and extend health span.
For example, it's been shown to limit DNA damage and promote gene activity associated with long life.

Cause..

Delusional..

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was brutally mocked by critics over a "delusional" X post describing the anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles as "peaceful demonstrations" while pinning blame on President Donald Trump for sowing "chaos" in southern California.

Hillary Clinton is delusional if nothing else," another posted in response to footage of a fire raging as rioters waved a Mexican flag.

Riots broke out in the left-wing city Friday evening after federal law enforcement officials converged on Los Angeles to carry out immigration raids as part of Trump's vow to deport illegal aliens who flooded the nation under the Biden administration.

Chicken..

Since May 7, 2025, travelers have needed a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state ID to board domestic flights. And now, TSA is putting its foot down, telling travelers that their Costco cards do not count as a valid form of ID to travel with.

TSA posted the following message on Facebook: "We love hotdogs & rotisserie chickens as much as the next person but please stop telling people their Costco card counts as a REAL ID because it absolutely does not."

Several people flocked to the comments section of the Facebook post, writing things like, "I mean at least it has a STAR on it," and "Im pretty sure that the Costco card is stronger than some passports." Another jokingly wrote, "So, you're saying we should bring you a chicken?"

Alone..

At the G7

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the US has redirected specialized anti-drone weapons intended for Ukraine to the Middle East.

Speaking to ABC News in an interview broadcast Sunday, Zelenskyy said that the Biden administration had agreed to send Ukraine the weapons, to help take out Russia's Shahed drones that have been used to target Ukraine's cities and infrastructure.

Ukraine has leaned heavily on US support, and Zelenskyy said in the interview with ABC News that his country needs more air defense systems, including missiles for its US-made Patriot air defense systems.

"Without US support, there will be more casualties. Many more," he said.

Balance Imbalance..

The U.S. deficit with its global trading partners tumbled by the largest amount on record in April as companies and consumers no longer rushed to get imports ahead of President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
Following a record-breaking surge in the trade imbalance, the deficit slid to $61.6 billion, a decrease of $76.7 billion from the prior month and below the Dow Jones consensus forecast for $66.3 billion, according to a Commerce Department report Thursday.

The move reverses a massive surge in imports that came ahead of Trump’s April 2 “liberation day” announcement.

Imports slowed sharply in April, falling 16.3% to $351 billion. At the same time, exports accelerated, rising 3%.

On a year-to-date basis, the deficit has risen 65.7% from the same period in 2024.

The largest goods imbalance came with China, at $19.7 billion, followed by the European Union ($17.9 billion) and Vietnam ($14.5 billion).

Theft..

Randolph Dominguez, 58-year-old is sentenced to 15 months in prison for stealing and misappropriating COVID funds and social security benefits.

He stole benefits for over 22 years and was sentenced in federal court in Boston. In January 2025, he pleaded guilty to one count of stealing government money and wire fraud.

Coming to stealing Social Security benefits, he did this from April 2001 to 2023. He received payments of more than $163,642 by not reporting his father’s death. Instead, he changed the address to his own place and continues to receive the checks.

He used his father’s debit card to get the money for more than two decades after his death. This is not one standalone case but several people do this. The verdict of the case is an example of what’s coming for them in the future.
