Something..

NYSE..

Reciprocity..

President Trump placed Tariff on certain Chinese product in his first term as president. Then Came President Biden who kept the Trump's Tariff and added more Tariffs to it on Chinese product [technology items.]

So this is a common technique used by various administration to redirect economical activities one way or another.

However Total Reciprocities' is another trickery situation with an unknown outcome.

This can be compared to Biden's Sanctions on Russia's energy and cancelling Key Stone XL pipeline and Nord Storm 2 followed by the destruction of Nord Strom 1 pipelines.

On that "high five" sanctions, by US and EU, the outcome was Inflation that reached 20 % in Europe and 10 % in the USA which people are struggling with it for 4 years.

Pain..

Stephen Moore , a former senior economic adviser to President Donald Trump , revealed he’s “lost a lot of money” this week thanks to Trump’s tariffs. But, he said, they will be worth the pain.

Trump announced major across-the-board tariffs on Wednesday, prompting stocks to crater the past two trading sessions. Virtually all imports will be tariffed at least 10%, though dozens of countries’ exports to the U.S. will face dramatically higher tariffs. Additionally, all automobile imports are subject to a 25% tariff. To justify the measures, Trump used a strange calculation to falsely claim U.S. trading partners are levying massive tariffs of their own.

Comment:

Can anyone foresee when the pain of this one action iin the beginning of Trump's administrations will be over? Is it a month, months, or years.

Ships..

CNN reported on Friday that the total cost of the US military’s operation against the Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen is nearing $1 billion in just under three weeks, according to three people briefed on the campaign, but the attacks had so far had limited impact on destroying the group’s capabilities.
“We are burning through readiness — munitions, fuel, deployment time,” said one official.
Far from being cowed, the Houthis have threatened to extend their range of targets to the UAE, which backs the rival government to the Houthis in Yemen’s Civil War. Similarly, Saudi officials say the Kingdom’s air defenses are on high alert.
Comment:
The US and other European navy military have been bombing the Houthis for years by now. Any success? What is the cost so far? Is there a different way to resolve this issue?
May be Egypt can pay the Houthis for serving the ships going through the Red Sea and the Swiss Canal? Less killing, less spending, and more benefit to both countries and the World's Ships.     Just a thought.

Digest..

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told Reuters on Friday that any potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia would be "difficult to digest" but would still be better than the alternative of more death and destruction.
Turkey, a NATO member, has maintained cordial ties with both Kyiv and Moscow since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. It has voiced support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and provided it with military help, while opposing sanctions on Russia.
"It will be extremely difficult to digest any proposal," Fidan said. "But when we look at the other option, which is more death and destruction, I think whatever the conditions that we have... will be more reasonable" than the alternative.
