After his whirlwind two-day visit to Ukraine, President Donald Trump's special envoy for Russia and Ukraine retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg is within striking distance of sealing a rare-minerals agreement with the country.

The Ukrainian side made suggestions to the agreement text and sent it back to the American side.

Trump is seeking the rights to access Ukraine's natural resources in exchange for the United States having provided billions of dollars in support for the Eastern European country against Russia’s invasion. Trump said on Friday that the mineral deal is "pretty close."

The White House stresses that the deal would not be a guarantee of future aid for the war with Russia.

Congested..

The Trump administration said on Wednesday it was rescinding federal approval of New York City's congestion pricing program that is designed to reduce traffic and raise money to upgrade aging subway and bus systems.

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said the move will halt a program that "leaves drivers without any free highway alternative, and instead, takes more money from working people to pay for a transit system and not highways.
Metropolitan Transportation Authority and a New York bridge authority quickly filed suit in Manhattan seeking to block the move.

Plant..

A plant-based diet could be the secret recipe for a longer life — as long as you do it right. That’s the advice from Dr. Luigi Fontana in his new book, which presents a science-backed plan for eating more plant-based meals to boost health and longevity.

“Healthy longevity is about fueling your body with the right nutrients to activate cellular repair and gut health,” said Fontana, director of the healthy longevity research program at the University of Sydney.

“We recommend people start to experiment by shifting to two plant-based days a week, trying new recipes, discovering new flavors, and eventually increasing this to five days a week.”

The right foods, predicated on a predominantly plant-based diet, activate mechanisms that slow aging, reduce inflammation, and enhance metabolism.”

“Secondly, without enough fiber-rich plant foods, beneficial gut bacteria die off, weakening immunity and increasing disease risk.”
