Anna...
The Times is taking the rare step of publishing an anonymous Op-Ed essay. We have done so at the request of the author, a senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to us and whose job would be jeopardized by its disclosure.
We believe publishing this essay anonymously is the only way to deliver an important perspective to our readers.
I think it is a made up story. People publish books or articles and you can question their integrity, knowledge, honesty, affiliation, reasons, and how much they got paid. This is a story of "Trust Us". Not buying it.

Reynolds...
Burt Reynolds, the acclaimed actor whose work spanned almost six decades in TV and film, has died, his agent confirmed to ABC News. He was 82.
Reynolds began acting in the late 1950's and was very successful early on, featured in a slew of TV shows until his big break on "Gunsmoke" from 1962 to 1965. Reynolds closed out the 1960's in TV, before moving to the big screen in "Deliverance" in 1972, which he often said was his favorite performance of all-time.
MC Cain...
McCain's forensic questioning of Rumsfeld, who he later described as "one of the worst secretaries of defence in history", over Guantanamo Bay forced a change of administration policy.
McCain repeatedly called for US military intervention in Syria in 2011. In 2017, he championed Trump's decision to launch an attack against Syrian government forces, saying the action had "been eight years in the making".
In 2011, McCain was one of the strongest backers in Congress of US military intervention in Libya, calling on Washington to recognise Libyan rebels' transitional council as the true voice of the Libyan people and transfer frozen assets to them.
McCain was a supporter of George W Bush's decision to go to war with Iraq in 2003 and a later US troop surge.
One would say how come? He was in Vietnam, arrested, spent five years imprisoned. A very tough life, then come back and that is what he is after. Another failed ntervention.
