Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz has announced charges against Scott Chiang for criminal possession of numerous weapons. Court-authorized searches of locations in Queens Village and Port Washington revealed 18 illegal firearms, including ghost guns and assault weapons, as well as high-capacity magazines and gun manufacturing tools. Chiang, a former FBI agent, is currently an EMT and leads the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council of New York.
DA Katz highlighted the dangers posed by ghost guns and stated that her office will persist in eliminating illegal firearms. According to the Attorney’s Office, confiscated weapons would otherwise have posed a threat to communities had they not been intercepted. Just a thought.
