Prepped..

President Biden was prepped for this debate for full Two Weeks. Yhe Prep continue..

Smoothly..

“I know I’m not a young man, to state the obvious,” he said.  “I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong.”

Truth..

President Biden on Friday tried to beat back doubts about his fitness following a disjointed debate performance the night before, firing up a crowd of supporters with an energetic speech that accused former President Donald J. Trump of being a “one-man crime wave.”

“I know I’m not a young man, to state the obvious,” he said.  “I don’t speak as smoothly as I used to. I don’t debate as well as I used to. But I know what I do know. I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong.”
With the stakes sky high as Democrats around the country openly discussed whether he should abandon his bid for a second term, Mr. Biden repeatedly cast the election as a choice between right and wrong, morality and criminality, an honest man and a convicted criminal.

Comment:

*What was the truth about invading the Country of Libya?

*How many civilians were killed then and still struggling as the country split?

*How many civilians were killed in Syria as a result of our military intervention?

*  What was the amount of money Hunter Biden received from the Ukrainian businesses for being a consultant?

Just a thought.

Gratitude..

The Supreme Court overturned the bribery conviction of a former Indiana mayor on Wednesday in an opinion that narrows the scope of public corruption law.

The high court’s 6-3 opinion sided with James Snyder, who was convicted of taking $13,000 from a trucking company after prosecutors said he steered about $1 million worth of city contracts the company’s way.
Snyder, a Republican, has maintained his innocence.  His attorneys argued before the high court that prosecutors hadn’t proved there was a “quid pro quo” exchange agreement before the contracts were awarded and that prosecuting officials for gratuities given after the fact unfairly criminalizes normal gift giving.
Just a thought.

Morality..

Donna Brazile came to the Democratic National Committee to steady a ship rocked by an email hacking scandal and under fire for allegedly favoring Hillary Clinton during the primary process.
Now, thanks to a new email hacking scandal, the DNC’s interim chair is at the center of a controversy of her own — with Clinton’s campaign again caught in the mix.
After hacked emails published Monday by WikiLeaks appeared to reveal Brazile, during her time as a CNN commentator, giving advance notice to Clinton’s camp about a debate question, Brazile has lost a CNN contract (which had been suspended since Brazile took over the DNC in July) and found herself used as fodder for one of Donald Trump’s favorite talking points: that in this “rigged” election, the DNC has been in the bag for Clinton since the beginning.

Inmate..

Bridget Townsend

Texas man who admitted that he kidnapped, sexually assaulted and fatally shot the 18-year-old girlfriend of his drug dealer was set to be executed on Wednesday.

The remains of Bridget Townsend weren't found nearly two years after she vanished, when Ramiro Gonzales, having received two life sentences for kidnapping and raping another woman, led authorities to the spot in Southwest Texas where he left her body.

The inmate’s attorneys have appealed to the US Supreme Court, arguing in part he should be ineligible for the death penalty under state law because he is no longer dangerous.

Monica Lewinsky haunts Hillary
Monica Lewinsky wasn't some innocent 14-year-old high-school student in 1995, involved in some kind of "Mean Girls" schoolyard feud. She was a college graduate when she scored a hard-to-get White House internship. "I fell in love with my boss in a 22-year-old sort of way. It happens. But my boss was the President of the United States," said Lewinsky, nonchalantly. Lady Lewinsky left out that her boss was also a married father and that his wife and daughter were up on the second floor of the White House, while she was down in the Oval Office fully engaged in the affair she called "her everything".    By

Monica Lewinsky said “i awakened angry about the documents case in Florida. it is INSANE that it hasn’t moved forward to trial, and i hope judge cannon is impeached,” wrote Lewinsky on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter. Daily mail.

Comment:

Ms. Lewinsky has an opinion worth to be shared by the media about classified docs, but skipped the other Classified docs where the prosecutor indicates that the current president doesn't remember...etc but still wants to be a president for four more years.  Just a thought. .....

Help..

Dismissed..

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Monday he had replaced the commander of the Joint Forces of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Yuri Sodol, after reports surfaced that he had performed badly in the 28-month-old war against Russia.

Zelenskyy, speaking in his nightly video address, gave no reason for the dismissal.

Sodol’s removal, one of a series of personnel changes, followed publication of a letter by the head of Ukraine’s revered Azov regiment, Bohdan Krotevych, in which he alleged that Sodol’s actions had led to serious military setbacks.

Post on the Telegram messaging app, said an unnamed general “has killed more Ukrainian soldiers than any Russian general.”

And the saga continues.  Just a thought.

Certain foods can help manage health conditions such as diabetes, and others can help support the healthy functioning of internal systems such as our digestive tract. Even more so, food can also boost our energy levels, improve our mood and lower blood pressure, which is especially important for those managing hypertension.

On average, American adults consume a whopping 3,400 mg of sodium daily, most of which actually doesn’t come from the salt shaker. Pankaj Lal, MD, FACC, a board-certified cardiologist and owner of Capital Cardiac Care in Maryland, says, “The American Heart Association recommends anyone with hypertension to limit their sodium intake to 1,500 mg a day.”

“Whole Grains may improve heart health because they are rich in fiber and can help lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.” She says the first ingredients listed on a bread product should be ‘whole grains’

The best cure for high blood pressure is being active. Try at least 30 minutes of moderate exercise five days a week or vigorous activity for 75 minutes per week,” says Lal. Find a form of movement you like.

Trick..

China's leader, Xi Jinping, accused the US of trying to trick China into invading Taiwan but said his country wouldn't take the bait, the Financial Times reported , citing people familiar with the matter.

The FT said Xi made the accusation in April last year during a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Xi has issued the same warning to officials in his own country, one person told the FT, but this is first known case of him making the claim to a foreign leader, the outlet said.

During the meeting, according to a press statement released at the time, Xi said Taiwan was at the "core" of China's interests, adding: "If anyone expects China to compromise and concede on the Taiwan question, they are having a pipe dream and would shoot themselves in the foot."

Comment:

The USA spend 850 billion of Dollars on Military spending annually, with minimum return on our investment. The USA has military everywhere in the world, support war anywhere that we may think differently about it.    Syria, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine, activities around the Red Sea and the Taiwan issues. On the other hand, China, soon to become the Number One Economy in the world is reserved.   Just a thought.

Offensive..

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) suggested Friday that the New York hush money case against former President Trump was only brought forward because of his name and White House bid.

Cuomo, in an interview Friday on HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” argued that the case should have “never” been brought forward.

“If his name was not Donald Trump and if he wasn’t running for president… I’m the former AG of in New York [and] I’m telling you that case would’ve never been brought.”

“That’s what is offensive to people, and it should be because if there’s anything left, it’s belief in the justice system,” he added.

Judy..

Judge Judy” Sheindlin is calling Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) hush money case against former President Trump “nonsense.”

“You gotta twist yourself into a pretzel to figure out what the crime was. [Bragg] doesn’t like him — New York City didn’t like him for a while,” Sheindlin said of Trump in a “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” interview streaming Friday on Max.

would be happier, as someone who owns property in Manhattan, if the district attorney of New York County would take care of criminals who were making it impossible for citizens to walk in the streets and use the subway, to use his efforts to keep those people off the street, than to spend $5 million or $10 million of taxpayers’ money trying Donald Trump on this nonsense,” the longtime TV judge told Wallace

Horror..

Israeli Air Force (IAF) has grounded an F-16 squadron stationed at Ramon Air Base for three weeks following two serious incidents of incorrect target attacks in Gaza.
The first incident involved the entry of incorrect coordinates on the ground, leading to an unintended target being struck.
Despite procedural changes implemented after this initial mistake, a similar error occurred just days later during an overnight mission aimed at five targets in the Gaza Strip. In this second incident, a digit in one of the target coordinates was mistyped, resulting in another incorrect target being attacked.
“There was no compliance with procedures for verifying targets on the ground,” an IAF spokesperson stated, attributing the mishaps to “negligence in entering the waypoints, failure to comply with procedures in performing additional controls by the crew, [and] failure to change habits — even though the procedures were changed after the first mistake.”

Economy..

The “World in 2050” report by PwC projects China to become the world’s largest economy, contributing around 20% of the global GDP.

China has already surpassed the United States in purchasing power parity (PPP) and is poised to become the world’s largest economy before 2030. By 2050, India is expected to hold the third-largest economy spot.

In another report from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the global population is expected to exceed 9 billion by 2050. This surge will place unprecedented pressure on natural resources crucial for energy and food production.

Despite the recent global recession, the world GDP is anticipated to nearly quadruple by 2050. However, the economic trajectories of various regions will diverge significantly.

Ditch..

A nine-member bipartisan group of New York City Council members is pushing for the city to ditch its "sanctuary city" label in light of increased migrant flows and violence, with a leading official.
We have enough criminals in this city; we don't need to import more and protect them as well," Holden told Newsweek. "Repealing the laws that have created a sanctuary city status is common sense.
"Those who are wanted for heinous crimes back home or commit crimes in our country should be deported without hesitation. We aim to end this reckless social experiment once and for all."

Jockeying..

A jockeying between the largest stocks in the U.S. market is particularly significant this week, as Nvidia's performance could trigger a major shift in a $70 billion fund.

Currently, Apple and Microsoft each hold about 22% of the fund, while Nvidia, despite being close in market cap, holds less than 6%.

S&P Dow Jones Indices’ rules suggest that a similar disparity could emerge again in this rebalance. The race to secure one of the top two spots is tight, with the market caps of Microsoft, Apple, and Nvidia all within $100 billion of each other as of Thursday’s close, according to FactSet.

Return..

The US has spent $51.2 billion in military assistance for Ukraine since Russia invaded in 2022, according to a recent fact sheet published by the State Department.

Ukraine has received over four million shells, 400,000,000 small arms rounds, and grenades, as well as hundreds of advanced missile systems, tanks, armored vehicles, artillery pieces, river patrol boats, and electronic warfare technologies.

Sandbagged..

Hunter Biden’s hopes of getting his conviction regarding his gun charges overruled by the U.S. Supreme Court were crushed Friday as the justices upheld restrictions to the Second Amendment, legal analyst Jonathan Turley said.

The court ruled 8-1 to uphold a federal law restricting individuals convicted of domestic violence from possessing a firearm in the case, United States v. Rahimi. Hunter Biden, who a jury convicted of three counts of illegally purchasing a firearm, lost his hopes of getting his conviction overturned, as his legal team planned to argue the prohibition of drug users from owning guns is a violation of the Second Amendment.

Turley said the court’s Friday upholding of Second Amendment restrictions is a huge loss for the president’s son.

Access..

The Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously preserved access to a medication that was used in nearly two-thirds of all abortions in the U.S. last year, in the court’s first abortion decision since conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade two years ago.

The nine justices ruled that abortion opponents lacked the legal right to sue over the federal Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the medication, mifepristone, and the FDA’s subsequent actions to ease access to it. The case had threatened to restrict access to mifepristone across the country, including in states where abortion remains legal.

The high court is separately considering another abortion case, about whether a federal law on emergency treatment at hospitals overrides state abortion bans in rare emergency cases in which a pregnant patient’s health is at serious risk.

Koshary..

Koshary is to Egyptian cuisine as the pyramids are to its culture. Emblematic. Iconic. Beloved.

Also spelled koshari or kushari (those pesky transliterations from Arabic script!), it is widely considered Egypt's national dish. Rice, lentils (black or brown), chickpeas and pasta are cooked individually, then tossed together and topped with cumin-scented tomato sauce and crunchy fried onions.

Things get kicked up a notch with condiments of garlicky vinegar and a peppery hot sauce called shatta. Heavily laden with carbs, fiber, and calories, a plate of koshary fills up even the hungriest of stomachs for just a few Egyptian pounds.

While no one can say for sure where koshary came from, everyone has an opinion on where to eat it.  Just a thought.

Yahu..

The White House reportedly canceled a high-level meeting with Israeli officials in rebuke to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after he accused the U.S. of withholding military aid in a video released.

According to Axios, the meeting, set up for a strategic discussion on Iran, was axed after Netanyahu’s protest angered President Joe Biden’s top advisers.

Some Israeli officials were already en route to Washington when the decision was made.

“This decision makes it clear that there are consequences for pulling such stunts,” a U.S. official told Axios.

Privately, according to sources, Biden’s team was incensed by what they saw as Netanyahu’s ingratitude.

Still the killing continues in Gaza.  Just a thought.

Memory..

Conservative media outlets selectively used a camera angle that left out important context to spread a claim Thursday and Friday that President Joe Biden wandered off from a meeting of world leaders, but the full video at another angle captured by NBC News tells a different story.

Instead of wandering off, Biden was walking toward a group of parachutists who had just landed in an Italian clearing and gave them two thumbs-up.

Comment:
The DOJ special counsel
Robert Hur's politically damaging suggestion that, in deciding whether to prosecute, he had considered that Biden would likely present himself to a jury as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory." Just a thought.

Hur..

Seized on by the news media in the immediate scramble to report was the sentence: "Our investigation uncovered evidence that President Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen."

And then came Hur's politically damaging suggestion that, in deciding whether to prosecute, he had considered that Biden would likely present himself to a jury as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

A closer look at the rest of the report, though, shows despite Hur's "willfully retained and disclosed" assertion there were other innocent explanations that couldn't be ruled out.

However Biden keeps saying no one is above the law. So if he has poor memory not to be charged, however for the same thing Donald Trump is being charged.

Does this mean that Biden is an elderly man with poor memory, No charges- but Trump is not an elderly man and has a better memory?

What are we saying here? Just a thought.

Nuts..

Whether you prefer peanuts, almonds or cashews, nuts are generally a nutritious snack choice.

According to Healthline, they are a great source of:

Almonds are rich in vitamin E and aid with cellular communication and immune function.

  • Brazil nuts are a great source of selenium — a mineral used to support metabolism and thyroid function, per Healthline.
  • Pecans are rich in zinc, which helps support immune function and DNA synthesis. In addition, they significantly reduced LDL cholesterol.
  • Walnuts are a significant source of copper, which is used in the body for energy production and blood vessel development.

The bottom line: Most nuts are healthy — but it’s advised to eat them in moderation.
