Pritzker of Illinois, Governor Wes Moore of Maryland, Governor Maura Healey of Massachusetts, Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey and Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham of New Mexico send a message to someone.
“It is clear our national immigration system is outdated and unprepared to respond to this unprecedented global migration,” reads the letter, which is signed by Ms. Hochul and the governors of Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, New Mexico, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Maryland.
However President Biden first day in the office, On January 20, 2021, just hours after being sworn in, President Joe Biden took several immigration-related actions that together signal a new era for immigration policy. And here we are after the first day. Just a thought.
