Screw..

The U.S. confirmed three additional cases of New World screwworm on Monday, raising the total number of cases to five since the first domestic screwworm infestation in six decades was found in a Texas calf last week.

New World screwworm is a serious ‌pest that can infest any warm-blooded animal, including livestock, pets, wildlife, and, in rare cases, people. The larvae burrow into the living tissue of animals, causing severe wounds, animal suffering and significant economic losses
Texas ranchers have been bracing for screwworm to cross into the U.S. for the past year, as the pest advanced north in Mexico. Experts have predicted that a widespread outbreak could cost the state $1.8 billion in economic damage and devastate wildlife.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service confirmed two additional Texas cases, including infestations in a calf in La Salle County and a goat in Gillespie County.

Cause/Effect..

More than 800 people have been arrested due to tips turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement by the Transportation Safety Administration since President Donald Trump took office in early 2025, according to a new report.

The arrests, inside and around the nation's airports between January 2025 and the end of February, were made after 31,000 travelers were flagged by TSA for potential immigration enforcement, Reuters reported on Tuesday, citing internal ICE data.

Since Trump ordered federal immigration agents to assist TSA agents at airports during the partial government shutdown involving DHS, ICE has maintained a presence at 14 U.S. airports following Democrats' refusal to support additional money for Trump's immigration crackdown without reforms.

Trump administration's deployment of ICE agents has been criticized by Democrats who have called for their removal.

Comment:

So it seems that cause and effect is happening. Defund the TSA. ICE went to help.

So go figure!

Laughter..

Laughter is a physical and auditory expression of positive emotion, characterized by rhythmical contractions of the respiratory system. It is a natural reflex to stimuli like humor, tickling, or social bonding, serving important evolutionary, psychological, and physiological roles.
Anthropologists view laughter as a "social glue." It is deeply ingrained in human communication and primarily used in interactions to build affection, express agreement, and foster group unity. It helps to release tension, defuse awkward social situations, and recover from feelings of embarrassment.
Physiologically, laughter triggers the release of endorphins (the body's natural feel-good chemicals) while actively lowering cortisol (the primary stress hormone).
It relaxes the muscles, improves blood circulation, and provides a cardiovascular boost.
While specific comedic tastes vary by culture, the rhythmic, puffing, and repetitive sounds of laughter are recognized globally as a sign of joy and amusement.
