Raid..

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted a raid on a Hyundai plant in Georgia in September 2025, where hundreds of individuals, many of them undocumented, were detained. The incident has brought attention to immigration enforcement at U.S. workplaces, but it does not mean that ICE "rates" Hyundai for immigrants. ICE does not publish lists rating vehicle manufacturers based on their employment of undocumented immigrants.
  • The raid: In one of the largest single-site immigration operations in the agency's history, federal and local law enforcement agents raided a Hyundai-LG battery plant construction site in Ellabell, Georgia, in early September 2025..

Opinion:

Where are the Democratic Party today. Any Ideas, any direction.  Is Mamdani a democrat? Does this means that the Democratic party shifted towards socialism.   Just a thought.

If..

The United States government has already collected tens of billions of dollars from President Donald Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs.”

But that money could end up being refunded if the Supreme Court agrees with lower courts that many of the levies on imports from other countries are illegal.

Bessent’s request to have the Supreme Court quickly rule the tariffs are legal, and not wait until next summer, the normal time frame for such a decision.

The sooner the court rules, the less money the government could be required to refund if a majority of justices find the tariffs to be illegal.

Refunding tariffs is not an unprecedented situation for the U.S. government. But the amount of tariffs the Trump administration could be forced to refund is.

Deflation..

The producer price index, a gauge of costs at the wholesale level in the U.S. economy, posted an unexpected 0.1% decline in August. Here’s what to know:

  1. For the third time this year, the PPI showed outright deflation in what is generally considered a measure of pipeline price pressures. Wall Street economists had been looking for a 0.3% increase. The core PPI, which strips out food and energy, also fell 0.1% though core minus trade services actually rose 0.3%
  2. The tame reading will only feed market expectations of a Federal Reserve rate cut next week, and President Donald Trump was quickly on the case. “Just out: No Inflation!!! ‘Too Late’ must lower the RATE, BIG, right now. Powell is a total disaster, who doesn’t have a clue!!!” he posted on Truth Social in his latest shot at Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

  4. While the Media just ..... the prices are decreasing.  Just a thought.

Separate..

Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) sparked Democratic controversy after calling on Democratic Socialists, including New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, to establish a separate political party. Suozzi’s remarks intensified an ongoing intra-party debate over ideological divisions and a lack of party unity.

Critics argued that such comments risk alienating progressive voters, while supporters saw the push as an aim for clarity.

Suozzi said, “Zohran Mamdani and other Democratic Socialists should create their own party because I don’t want that in my party.” He added, “I hope he Mamdani doesn’t win.”

Comment:
If Mamdani wins, that signals that the Democratic party is anti business and anti police and just for illegal immigrants.

Dis-Agree..

I am endorsing Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani.

In the past few months, I’ve had frank conversations with him. We’ve had our disagreements. But in our conversations, I heard a leader who shares my commitment to a New York where children can grow up safe in their neighborhoods and where opportunity is within reach for every family. I heard a leader who is focused on making New York City affordable — a goal I enthusiastically support.

I also shared with him my priorities, making it very clear that our police officers should have every resource to keep our streets and subways safe. I urged him to ensure that there is strong leadership at the helm of the N.Y.P.D. — and he agreed.

Where is the agreement here? Policing?, Freez rent?, Government running vegetable stands?

Cuts..

Late..

As unemployment continues to rise among Black workers, particularly Black women, Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Massachusetts) is urging Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell to address troubling new jobs data showing a disproportionate spike in Black unemployment.

In a letter sent Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, Pressley called on the Fed to uphold its mandate to maximize employment and requested detailed data on the impact Black women’s employment, or lack thereof, has on the labor market.

Comment:

Calls to action have been raised for some time. Does this mean that the Fed is late?

 Just a thought.

Turning Point..

A suspect has been arrested in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, officials announced Friday.

Tyler Robinson, a Utah native, was identified as the person who shot and killed Kirk on Wednesday, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said at a press conference in Utah on Friday.

I want to thank the family members of Tyler Robinson who did the right thing in this case and were able to bring him in to law enforcement," Cox said.

A family friend contacted the Washington County Sheriff's Office on Thursday night, telling them Robinson confessed or implied that he had killed Kirk, Cox said.
