Stripped..

Hachikosela Muchimba, 45, a former letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and resident of the District of Columbia, was stripped of his U.S. citizenship and sentenced to 66 months in federal prison today in connection with mail theft and bank fraud scheme that illegally netted him $1.6 million.

Hachikosela Muchimba, has been charged with mail theft and bank fraud. Prosecutors said Muchimba stole $1,697,909.52 in mailed checks, erased the payees' names, and deposited them in his bank account.

In a search of his house, authorities allegedly found an ATM receipt in which Muchimba deposited a Treasury check for $415,173. Prosecutors say he tried to flee to Zambia when discovered.

Reversed..

An appeals court has thrown out a $500m penalty that President Donald Trump was ordered to pay in a New York civil fraud trial last year.

Judge Arthur Engoron had ordered Trump to pay the fee for massively inflating the value of the Trump Organization's properties in order to secure favorable loans.

The judges on the New York Supreme Court's Appellate Division stated that while Trump was liable for the fraud, the fine of nearly half a billion dollars was excessive and probably violated constitutional protections against severe punishment.

American voters had "obviously rendered a verdict" on Trump's political career, Judge Moulton also wrote, and "this bench today unanimously derails the effort to destroy his business".

The ruling came almost a year after the panel heard oral arguments on the appeal, during which several judges appeared skeptical of the civil fraud case.

Was that decision expected by the legal minds? Just a thought.

Women..

Early on November 9, 2016, the day after the election, Trump was projected to have secured the presidency. Trump won the presidential election with 304 electoral votes, while Hillary Clinton received 227, though Clinton won a plurality of the nationwide popular vote, receiving nearly 2.9 million more votes than Trump.

Comment

With that Hillary lost to the Man that she spent almost all her efforts and time, during pre-election days, to label him as Russian Asset.

Now there is investigation into that claim. Just a thought.

Over the Cliff

Leading Democrats, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Democrat leaders in the Senate and the House, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries — have yet to step forward with endorsements Mamdani, the front runner for a NYC mayor.

Clearly there is concern about the Democratic Party, which has enough problems, being branded by this guy. Nevertheless, the bets appear to be that he will win this race and become the next mayor of New York City.
Washington Post columnist George Will wrote that maybe electing someone whose agenda includes rent control, public childcare, free city buses and city-owned grocery stores will remind the nation what a disaster socialism is.
But should we really have to let someone drive over a cliff to teach that you should pay attention to where you’re driving?  Just a thought.

Clerical...

Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook’s lawsuit against Donald Trump challenges his ability to remove her from office, but only briefly addresses the central accusations that she committed mortgage fraud.

One part of the documents filed in the suit suggests that the issue at hand regarding documents Cook submitted for home loans may have been caused by a “clerical error” on her part and asserts that even if a mistake was made it does not rise to an offense that would justify removing her from office.

Comment:
Does or doesn't rise to the level of removal

Hyenas..

Political strategist James Carville published an op-ed in the Times titled “The Best Thing Democrats Can Do in This Moment.” His prescription is as follows: “With no clear leader to voice our opposition and no control in any branch of government, it’s time for Democrats to embark on the most daring political maneuver in the history of our party: roll over and play dead.”

Donald Trump and his cronies, Carville argues, have underestimated the American public’s tolerance for chaos, incompetence, and masculinity contests with other world leaders that may very well end in a crashed economy.

The best path, then, is to just wait while Trump still has some afterglow from the election until his approval numbers have tanked and then “make like a pack of hyenas and go for the jugular.”   "the New Yorker"

Clear..

Zohran Mamdani’s front-running campaign to lead the nation’s largest city is stoking fear among moderate Democrats that his far-left politics will cost them at the ballot box.

They worry a Mamdani mayoralty will deepen an existential crisis for a party desperate to win back power in Congress simultaneously handing Republicans a cudgel to paint their moderate opponents as socialists and encouraging hard-left copycat candidates to primary Democratic incumbents, potentially pushing the party further to the left.
A video this month by the House GOP’s campaign arm warned that Democrats “want to turn America into a socialist, crime-filled dystopia” and features a clip of Mamdani discussing the “abolition of private property.” Not to mention defund the police, no bail cases.. etc.  Just a "Socialist" thought.

Theft..

The illegal immigrants who streamed into New York City over the past four years led to increases in crime near the hotels where they were housed, according to a new academic study.

William LeRoy, an incoming professor at Charles University in Prague, crunched crime report data and found that arrests of Hispanics, the dominant demographic of the largely Venezuelan newcomers, rose in the immediate areas around the hotels.

The significant increase was in lower-level thefts.

“The baseline increase in Hispanic arrest rates is driven primarily by cash-generating offenses, such as petit and grand larceny, indicating that economic hardship is a leading factor behind criminal behavior,” Mr. LeRoy concluded.

He said the crime increases seemed to be tied to the lack of job prospects for the new arrivals.

Using Hispanics as proxies for illegal immigrants, Mr. LeRoy compared crime reports with ZIP codes where migrants showed up in city-funded housing. He found a 5.5% increase, relative to the average.

Fear..

Ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Thursday claimed President Trump will stage a takeover of New York City if Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor, as he also again tried to shift blame for the bail reforms he passed as governor.
Cuomo, during an event in Harlem near where an innocent woman was fatally shot by a stray bullet, cast Mamdani’s policies as “literally dangerous” for the city’s public safety.
President Trump will wind up being Mayor Trump if Mamdani is elected,” said Cuomo, who is running as an independent in the November election after being bested by Mamdani in the Democratic primary.
Comment:
Let us use fear now ....  If and when Mamdani wins, Trump will let it go and will see how people like it.  Mamdani will do magic to the Democrats.... may be!!!
Just a thought.

‘It seems to be almost a daily occurrence’: DHS official is using car crashes to double down on migrant crackdowns

To take advantage of multiple fatal car crashes involving illegal immigrants across the country, a Department of Homeland Security official has focused on just that fact.

According to the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at DHS, Tricia McLaughlin, “It seems to be almost a daily occurrence where an illegal alien driving kills an innocent American.

All of these deaths are preventable because these illegal aliens should have never been in our country.”

According to Fox News, in Louisiana, a 15-year-old boy on a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle allegedly driven by Juan Alfredo Chavarria Lezama, a 31-year-old illegal immigrant. The crash, which occurred in Livingston Parish, resulted in the teenager being airlifted to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Comment:

The Democrats are not talking about that.   Just a thought.
