 Three Republican members of the U.S. Congress made a quick trip Sunday into opposition-held northwest Syria in the first known visit to the war-torn country by American lawmakers in six years. They urged the Biden administration and regional partners to keep up the pressure on Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The roughly one-hour stop was a signal of the significant support on Capitol Hill for the opposition in Syria's long civil war.

U.S. Rep. French Hill of Arkansas, one of the three lawmakers, told The Associated Press by telephone after leaving Syria that the trip was the latest of his several to the region this summer to press the U.S. government and Arab allies to continue pushing for a political resolution to the war.

How about solving problems at home like south borders migrants, Inflation, prices of gasoline, Country's debt of trillion dollars,  etc.. and let us get out of the business of war, killing our own and others...

 Due to U.S sanctions banning the export, sale or supply of goods, software, technology and services to Syria, people in Syria are barred from accessing Western online platforms used for education, online shopping, work or leisure, such as Google, Netflix, Amazon (company), Zoom (software), Apple Inc. 

On 22 September 2014, the United States intervened in the Syrian civil war to fight the Islamic State as part of Operation Inherent Resolve in the international war against the Islamic State. The U.S. supported the Syrian rebels and the Syrian Democratic Forces against Syrian president Bashar al-Assad.

Collective responsibility in the form of collective punishment is often used as a disciplinary measure in closed institutions, e.g. boarding schools (punishing a whole class for the actions of one known or unknown pupil), military units, prisons (juvenile and adult), psychiatric facilities,

With Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates joining BRICS, the multilateral mechanism now includes major global oil producers and importers. Analysts said that a wider adoption of local currencies for trade among BRICS countries, rather than using the US dollar, seems more natural.

Six candidates - Argentina, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates - will be admitted as BRICS members on January 1, 2024, South African president announced on Thursday at the BRICS summit. Currently, BRICS members include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

Having oil producers and consumers as members will set a foundation for BRICS members to use local currencies in settlement, which can definitely reduce transaction costs, adding that people are witnessing the twilight of the petrodollar.

San Antonio-area bars pay tribute to 13 fallen US soldiers in Afghanistan

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) announced Saturday that he ordered the flags at the U.S. Capitol to be put at half-staff in honor of 13 American service members who died in Afghanistan during attempting to help allies flee the country during the U.S.’s exit two years ago.

“Two years ago today, we tragically lost 13 brave servicemen and women in Afghanistan,” McCarthy’s post on X, formerly known as Twitter, read. “I have directed the flags at the U.S. Capitol to be lowered to half-staff in honor of these American heroes.”

Is there classified or unclassified documents to explain our desire to modernize Afghanistan, and the cost/Price associated with it?

Rep. Cory Mills (R-Fla.) introduced articles of impeachment against Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

High-level officials in this administration blatantly ignored intel that Americans and our allied partners in Kabul would be left behind in harm’s way.

“As a result, nearly 200 people, including 13 American service members, were murdered at Abbey Gate in Kabul, Afghanistan. “Because of this clear dereliction of duty.

The resolution introduced by Mills says Austin engaged in “high crimes and misdemeanors” for failing to properly plan for the withdrawal despite having at least eight months to prepare. 

The Florida lawmaker also slammed Austin for “strategic and moral blindness” by forcing a hasty retreat that failed to protect American and Afghan lives.

Bidenomics is a term that refers to the economic ideas and policies of Joe Biden, the 46th president of the United State. Bidenomics is based on the premise that government intervention is needed to boost demand, revive and reshape the economy, and help the middle class

It seems to me that decisions are made for and against proper economic principles.. Sanctions on Russian oil increased the prices of oil worldwide. Additional economic sactions on Russia and other countries caused food shortage in many countries.  And with that, an increase in prices of various goods and causing the inflation.
