Every January, one of the top New Year's resolutions is to lose weight. To be successful, there's something you should know:
Diet is far more important than exercise -- by a long shot.

Calories in" come from food  and beverages, but  "calories out" by exercising are 10% to 30%.

A 185-pound person burns 200 calories in 30 minutes of walking at 4 miles per hour, which is a 1½ scoops of ice cream.
You are better off not working out but simply eating less.
Exercising is  important for building strength, muscle mass and flexibility. It can help to manage diseases, including heart disease and diabetes. It can improve your mood and fight depression.

Here it is.

Rep. Nancy Pelosireclaimed the speaker's gavel, has to strike a delicate balance as her party gains power.

Democrats want to oppose some of Trump policies, but look for ways to cooperate to tout progress to the moderate and independent voters.
It is a tricky time, with a partial government shutdown in its 13th day and few signs of progress toward breaking the impasse over Trump's proposed border wall
She will call to "address the disparity of income in America," be "champions of the middle class" and  "the climate crisis."

Pelosi will also push to "lower health costs and prescription drug prices."
The party is set to launch investigations into the president's tax returns and personal businesses, as well as his administration's immigration policies and use of taxpayer money, among other issues.

Let us see if health care cost can be lowered. Just a thought.

The Trump administration has ordered the military to start withdrawing roughly 7,000 troops from Afghanistan in the coming months.    A new shift in the 17-year-old war.

The decision stunned Afghan officials, who said they had not been briefed on the plans.

Afghan refugees and illegal migrants will not be allowed to set up illegal homes in Pakistan."
Afghanistan is already the world's second biggest source of refugees.
Iranian officials in Kabul said they fear a sudden U.S. troop withdrawal could reverse that trend of deporting migrants from  Iran
Afghanistan does not share a land border with Turkey. In 2018, Turkish police say they intercepted 90,000 Afghans who were trying to enter the country with fake documents or with the help of traffickers, double the number in 2017.
As negotiations over the future of the country gather momentum, the Taliban have been trying to reassure Afghans that they have nothing to fear after foreign forces leave.
All of a sudden, all these countries are unhappy with the US withdrawal..!!!

Image result for Women's eyes images

Women desire "alpha" males who show off their money, but they also want "relationship."   They want men who put their paychecks into a mortgage.
Women rate tall, strong, athletic males as "very desirable" marriage partners, twice as likely as men value physical strength in women.

However, most women are realistic and would settle preferring men with feminine-looking faces. E.g.,  Leonardo DiCaprio to Tom Selleck.

Never-married women are more likely to prefer physical attractiveness. Conversely, divorced and widowed women are more likely to select good character over physical attractiveness.

Women love talking, so take a creative writing class, memorize a few romantic poems, or learn a foreign language.

Foreign women will think that a man who can conjugate verbs correctly in their language will make a good husband.

A predictable man is boring and a woman will soon get bored with you.

Aché women view big-game hunting like peahens view peacocks' tail feathers. It shows that a man is physically and mentally fit. Giving away meat shows that he has more than enough strength and skill to survive.

Extramarital sex isn't unusual among the Aché [ Indigenous people of Paraguay.] When asked who had fathered their children, Aché women named, on average, 2.1 possible fathers for each child. The best hunters' names came up most often.

Women's favorite pinups show bare-chested, muscled men holding smiling babies.

Good Luck then...

Anger...

Whether you agree or disagree with her, Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s presumed entry into the presidential race will make the 2020 Democratic nomination more interesting. She’s exceptionally smart, passionately committed to progressive principles, and has a deep understanding of policy.
Like all candidates, she’ll make mistakes, as she did with her ill-timed DNA test last fall. But her strong grassroots following and passion for the issues likely means she starts this race as one of the legitimate front-runners.
Can she expand her appeal beyond those who are angry about the economy?

Finding the right balance between anger and aspiration is key. Technology and globalization have been profoundly disruptive, shrinking the opportunity to succeed to a small slice of people and places.
If Warren — or someone else — can convince voters that she has the ideas and the will to fight every day to ensure that everyone has a real opportunity to earn a good life, that candidate will unite traditional progressives, moderates and independents to cruise to the nomination.  Hard to do.

Image result for moderate exercise

Inactivity has been dubbed the biggest public health problem of the 21st century. The latest reports suggest that around the world it was responsible for 5.3 million deaths in 2008 – around one in 10 – more deaths than smoking.

Not only does exercise make you fitter, it can also ward off numerous and often unexpected diseases, from heart attacks, to diabetes, some forms of cancer and dementia. There are tentative signs it might even make you cleverer, by boosting cognitive performance and brain function.

Latest government guidelines recommend adults under 65 should do 150 minutes of moderate physical activity every week, in bouts of at least 10 minutes. Worryingly, only a fraction of the population manages even that. In the UK just 14% of adults exercise regularly

However, a growing number of sports scientists advocate brief intensive training sessions to achieve the same health gains. So do any, slow, medium or fast.
