Loneliness..

Quote: as often attributed to Carl Jung,

“Loneliness is not the absence of people around us, but the inability to express what truly matters within us.”

This insight suggests that loneliness isn’t simply about being physically alone, but about feeling unheard or unable to communicate one’s deeper thoughts and emotions.

In today’s highly connected world, it still feels especially relevant, constant communication doesn’t necessarily lead to real understanding or emotional intimacy.

The idea also echoes Carl Jung’s broader reflections on inner isolation and the complexities of human connection.

It also aligns closely with what psychologists note about the difference between social isolation (not having people around) and loneliness (the subjective feeling of being unseen or misunderstood).
Since loneliness can be a heavy burden to carry, it’s always okay to seek out spaces where you feel heard. Here are a few ways to find communities and professional support that focus on authentic expression and connection.
