Anti-Aging Food:
*Olive oil (as well as walnut and canola oil) are rich in unsaturated fatty acids, minerals, vitamins E and A and powerful antioxidants. The latter protect our cells, help control weight.
In addition to calcium and iron, broccoli contains sulforaphane, an antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals in our body. The vitamin C contained in broccoli also helps our skin to produce collagen, a protein that keeps the skin firm and promotes hair growth.
*Potassium is found in large quantities in green leafy vegetables, and that has a rejuvenating effect on our cells and can even improve our brain power when consumed regularly. Get munching, Einstein!
*Tomatoes contain many carotenoids, which help our skin to protect itself from sun and UV rays. They are also rich in lypocin, which binds free radicals and protects our cells from premature aging. So this summer, eat as many as you can!
Even out of season, nothing stands in the way of your lypocin boost. Naturally processed tomatoes, for example in the form of juice or strained tomatoes, have an even higher content of lypocins.
