New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared Saturday that New York “crushed” the curve and “did the impossible” as the state begins to re-open.
New York was one of the states hardest hit by the novel coronavirus, with more than 30,000 deaths, despite implementing a harsh series of lockdown measures in response that has seen businesses, schools and recreation activities shuttered for months.
A scathing Associated Press report last month found more than 4,300 coronavirus-infected elderly patients were sent to vulnerable nursing homes. The state has estimated that more than 5,000 nursing home and long term-care facility patients have died from coronavirus.
It has led to calls for the Department of Justice to open an investigation into the nursing home deaths. Cuomo and his administration have tried to deflect that criticism, saying it was following guidelines issued by the Trump administration.
Cuomo didn't have to follow anyone's advise... he always do whatever and claim the consultant said it can't be done. When failure arrived, It is someone's else advise.
Just a thought.
