Not Necessary..

The UK isn’t preventing anyone under the age of 50 from getting the shot if it’s medically necessary, stressed Shaun Whelan, a spokesperson for the UK Health Security Agency, which oversees public health and infectious disease response.

Nursing and care home staff, social workers, homecare givers and other frontline workers will also still be eligible for a COVID vaccine, as will anyone who lives with someone who is immunosuppressed, the agency said.

And the policy change isn’t a reflection of concerns about the safety of COVID vaccines, as some social media users claim. It’s about using national healthcare resources effectively, as demand for vaccinations among those under the age of 50 is dropping off significantly.

Hate..

Love and hate are similar in being directed toward another person because of who he or she is. Despite this similarity, the two seem like polar opposites. Very often when we love someone, we want them to thrive. When we hate someone, we are more likely to wish they would suffer or at least change who they are.
It happens in every intimate relationship, a moment when frustration or upset or disdain grows so large that the thought crosses the mind: I hate him / I hate her. Love and hate — they aren't opposites, and it's not a zero-sum game where the more of one means the less of the other. Both feelings can stir, as they inevitably do.
For many of us, "I hate my partner" triggers guilt or shame, a sense that we're doing something wrong or that something is wrong with us for feeling this way. "I hate my partner" can also trigger fear that the relationship is in serious trouble, or was doomed from the start.
People who love one another don't feel this way, we mistakenly tell ourselves, not realizing that moments of strong dislike can occur even within the strongest partnerships.

Volunteer..

Contrary to what some might believe, depression is not a normal part of the aging process.  Depression can impact anyone at any age depending on genetics, brain chemistry, and environmental factors.
Everyone experiences days of sadness here and there, but symptoms of depression, loss of interest in hobbies or activities, changes in sleep, changes in appetite, withdrawing socially, being overly irritable, general apathy, and memory loss that’s not related to dementia.
Being proactive against depression and isolation. Take advantage of technology and all it offers.   Video calls, digital photo sharing, and social media can all serve a purpose in relieving isolation.
Regular exercise is a proven way to avoid depression.  Regular outdoor walks in nature lift the spirits and boost mood.  If a senior has physical limitations, chair exercises can be beneficial.
Find a sense of purpose.     Just a thought.

Prioritizing..

Lori Santos the psychology professor behind Yale University's most popular course, recently launched a free six-week version of the class aimed at teenagers, called "The Science of Well-Being for Teens." It was developed to address rising rates of anxiety, depression and suicide rates for kids between ninth and 12th grade.

For adults, this may mean pursuing money or success at work, and for teens this might mean focusing on the perfect grades and getting into the best colleges."
"The problem isn't that we're not putting work into feeling better it's that we're doing the wrong things, prioritizing the wrong behaviors."

Instead of focusing on reaching a financial milestone or perfect GPA, aim to program your brain with thoughts and behaviors that make you feel better.

Regularly connecting with friends, taking care of your health and learning how to accept negative emotions all contribute more significantly to your wellbeing than having the right job, car or relationships, she adds.

Cost..

For the first time in more than a year, owners of traditional gas-powered cars saved more money at the pump than those driving their electric counterparts, according to a consulting firm.
As inflated gas prices came down at the end of last years, the fuel cost for most Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles was comparatively cheaper in the final quarter of 2022 than charging an electric vehicle (EV), analysts with the Anderson Economic Group (AEG) said.
The cost to drive 100 miles in a gas-powered car dropped by more than $2 in October, November and December 2022. And with electricity prices rising last year, mid-priced ICE cars became more economical than EV cars for the first time in 18 months, the firm said.
