Active..

In a new study, researchers have identified an association between light-intensity physical exercise in older adults and a reduced risk of dementia.

The researchers split participants into four groups depending on how active they were: inactive, insufficiently active, active, and highly active.

They found that insufficiently active participants had a 10% reduced risk of developing dementia compared with inactive participants.

Active participants had a 20% reduced risk, while highly active participants had a 28% reduced risk.

The findings remained the same even after accounting for age, sex, and incidence of stroke and other comorbidities.

Medical News Today spoke with Dr. Boyoung Joung, a professor of internal medicine at Yonsei University College of Medicine in Seoul, Republic of Korea, and the study’s corresponding author. He said that “[i]n our study, we would like to emphasize that even light-intensity physical activity, as opposed to total sedentary behavior, could lead to a reduction in risk of dementia.”

“Therefore, older adults who cannot perform activity beyond moderate-intensity physical activity, due to frailty or comorbidities, could benefit from light-intensity physical activity.”

Different..

Vice President Kamala Harris is of the view that if she were a white man, the media coverage of her would be different.

This is according to a report from The New York Times, which spoke to several White House sources about Harris' current position in the administration.

Harris has been confiding in allies that she thought the news would cover her differently if she were white and male, attributing some of her negative press coverage — particularly in conservative media outlets — to race and gender.

Harris and President Joe Biden have struggled with historically low job approval ratings, with Harris more unpopular than any vice president in modern history.

With that rating and problems accumulating, it is better to be someone else.

Just a thought.

Protein...

A wealth of research has linked protein to favorable lifestyle markers such as healthy body weight and/or weight loss, maintaining and building muscle, and overall diet satisfaction.

When you’re looking for ways to improve your health, manage your weight or satisfy your appetite, consider all that protein can do for you:

People who eat a higher-protein diet (about 30% of daily calories from protein) feel more satisfied, which may help prevent overeating.

Protein helps support strong, lean bodies. Eating at least 4 ounces of high-quality protein from foods like beef at each meal provides your body with energy to lead an active lifestyle.

Protein may help cut the fat. Research has shown exercise is more effective for weight management when paired with a higher-protein diet, and beef provides the amino acids necessary for building and replenishing muscles.

HQ..

So much pressure Senator Joe Manchin is facing from his Democratic party against the interest of his State.

He should be considered a hero by the Democrats for rejecting so much foolishness.

 What will he do?

He can wait until the next election where the Republican expected to get more seats in US. Senate, or switch seat today, and screw up the whole party's control. It is a one's man heroic act. The Dems ought to recognize him before the party's destruction happens.  Just a thought.

Just a thought.

CNN..

Stormy Daniel

Her Lawyer

Andrew Cuomo

Chris Cuomo

The heroes of CNN in 2020. Where are they now?

The Media, in order to fill their 24 hours with just anything, created heroes. During which a big deception occurred to validate what they are driving to. The goal is their own enrichment and ratings.

Foresaw..

Vice President Harris says the Biden administration foresaw neither the delta nor the omicron COVID-19 variants.

Both variants are currently present in the United States. The newer omicron variant is highly contagious and is expected to quickly replace the delta strain, which spread over the summer.

"We didn’t see Delta coming. I think most scientists did not — upon whose advice and direction we have relied — didn’t see Delta coming," she said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that was published Friday. "We didn’t see Omicron coming. And that’s the nature of what this, this awful virus has been, which as it turns out, has mutations and variants."

Harris denied to the Times that President Biden had prematurely declared victory over the virus in the days before delta became prevalent in the United States.

What else this administration foresaw none of it? Just a thought.

Can't..

Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., declared Sunday that after months of negotiations he has determined that there is no way he can support the massive social spending bill known as the Build Back Better Act.

Speaking with "Fox News Sunday," Manchin said that he has spoken with President Biden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., but could not reach an agreement on the legislation.

At  the end, however, he said that between ongoing inflation, the national debt, "geopolitical unrest," and the COVID-19 pandemic, the bill being pushed by his fellow Democrats was too much.

"When you have these things coming at you the way they are right now … I cannot vote to continue with this piece of legislation," he said, stating that if he cannot explain to his constituents why he would vote for a bill, then he cannot vote for it, despite all the work he and other Democrats have put into trying to make it work.  Just a"critical view" thought.
