A suspect is in police custody after authorities say he drove through a fence and onto an active runway at the Pensacola International Airport.
Police arrested Zane Carlson on suspicion of trespassing and criminal mischief after police say he drove through the fence between the passenger terminal and Heliworks at about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Pensacola Police Department spokesman said Carlson drove onto an active runway and then into a grassy area, where he did doughnuts in his car, according to police.
He then drove into an open hangar near Jerry L. Maygarden Road, where he continued to do doughnuts inside the hangar until police caught up to him.
