The Trump administration overturned asylum protections for domestic violence and gang violence victims in a ruling that could potentially prevent tens of thousands of refugees to the US.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered immigration judges to stop granting asylum to people who are victims of gang violence or domestic abuse.
This reverses the Obama administration’s guidance.
Obama really opened it up. There are billions of men and women who can claim domestic violence. Just a thought.
