Suspect..

Responding to a New York Times report Saturday revealing that the Trump administration “decided to repatriate two survivors of a deadly U.S. strike on suspected drug runners in the Caribbean Sea rather than prosecute or hold them in military detention,” U.S.

Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) tagged Vice President JD Vance and wrote: “So we are either letting captured cartel members go free or bombing innocent people. Which one is it, JDVance?”

The U.S. Senate subsequently voted against a resolution aimed at preventing the U.S. military from continuing strikes in the Caribbean without congressional approval.

Two Republican Senators, Rand Paul (R-KY) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), voted against their party to stop the strikes.

Comment:
It is a difficult choice to intercept or not to intercept these boats in the Caribbean. It is safer not to intercept.

Just a thought.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a warning to New York amid the rise of Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani, saying he believes the candidate’s election could lead to more "turmoil."

"This guy makes de Blasio look like Ronald Reagan," DeSantis said Wednesday on "Fox & Friends," referring to former Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio

DeSantis argued that Mamdani’s "far-left" policy positions could drive more residents and businesses out of New York and into Florida.

A new study from the nonpartisan Citizens Budget Commission found that more than 150,000 New Yorkers moved to Florida between 2018 and 2022, while only about 50,000 relocated in the opposite direction

Mamdani, a state assemblyman from Queens, has campaigned on reducing police funding, increasing taxes on wealthy individuals and corporations and making the city more affordable.

Investigate..

Letitia James said she would "chase Trump," vowing to investigate his business dealings as a campaign promise, as she said on the 2018 campaign trail.

After being elected, she followed through with the investigation, leading to a civil suit against him and his company for fraud.

The phrase is part of a broader pattern of her publicly stating her intention to hold him accountable for his actions, both before and after taking office.

A federal grand jury indicted her on two felony counts: bank fraud and making false statements to a financial institution.

Just a thought.

Historic Dawn .

After the ceremony, President al-Sisi awarded Trump the Order of the Nile, a necklace made of pure gold considered to be Egypt's highest honors.

The Egyptian president called the day a "historic milestone that ends an agonizing chapter".

Among the many world leaders at the summit who stood for a photo opportunity with Trump was Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, who less than a week ago was blocked by the US from attending the UN General Assembly in New York.

Although the first phase of the ceasefire agreement has been enacted, there is a lingering question over what role the Palestinian Authority might eventually play in Gaza.

Trump said the second phase of negotiations on a peace agreement were under way.

During his address to the Knesset, the American president suggested the region was experiencing "the historic dawn of a new Middle East".

Rent..

It’s no secret that Democrats have gone to great lengths to enable illegal immigration. They have authorized legislation to pay for hotel rooms, approved funding for prepaid debit cards, and allocated billions of dollars to help illegal immigrants get to the U.S. border.

But Tuesday’s decision by California Democrats might be the most absurd yet: voting to pay the rent of illegal immigrants who are too afraid to go to work because of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to declare a state of emergency because of the illegal immigration enforcement measures ordered by President Donald Trump.

Included in this “emergency” are provisions to provide rent relief and other funding to illegal immigrants who have endured financial hardship because they were too afraid to go to work due to concerns over being apprehended by ICE. It also provides numerous taxpayer-funded services to illegal immigrants criminals who are breaking the law.

Comment:
Taxing the Citizen of the State and the country to foster an illegal immigration process isn't the best for anyone including the illegal Immigrants. May be a legal system similar to many countries in the world to let people come and work legally so they wouldn't be abused by anyone, crossing the border, living in the country, working without compensation
.   Just a thought.

Timing..

Eating after 9:00 p.m. can negatively impact health by increasing the risk of weight gain, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues, and can worsen sleep quality

  • Your metabolism slows down at night, and eating late may cause the body to store extra calories as fat instead of using them for energy.
  • Late-night eating is associated with a higher risk of type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and cardiovascular disease.
  • Some studies show that regularly eating dinner after 9 p.m. can increase the risk of stroke.
  • Eating close to bedtime can disrupt sleep, particularly with heavy, spicy, or fatty foods that may trigger acid reflux or a feeling of heaviness.
  • Try to avoid eating large meals within three hours of your typical bedtime if possible.
  •
If you must eat late, opt for smaller, more nutritious snacks like yogurt with fruit, vegetables, or a small amount of nuts instead of high-calorie, high-sugar foods.

Oh Canada..

Canada’s immigration system is being examined after reports showed that more than 47,000 international students are currently unaccounted for. This situation has raised concerns about visa compliance and the effectiveness of enforcement.

The issue comes as the Temporary Foreign Worker Program faces criticism, putting more pressure on policymakers. Some provinces have voiced concerns about federal immigration policies, and experts are asking for reforms to address these issues.

Comment:

Is Canada following the US policies of controlling their Visas better?
