Fees..

ABC News and their top anchor George Stephanopoulos have reached a settlement with Donald Trump in his defamation suit, which will result in the news network paying the president-elect $15 million.

The settlement was publicly filed on Saturday, revealing that the two parties have come to an agreement and avoided a costly trial. According to the settlement, ABC News will pay $15 million as a charitable contribution to a "Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for Plaintiff, as Presidents of the United States of America have established in the past." Additionally, the network will pay $1 million in Trump's attorney fees.

Plant based..

A new review study that looked at 95 articles found that by comparison, healthful plant-based diets (that includes whole grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and oils) most often resulted in improvements in weight, mortality (risk of dying), diabetes, cardiovascular (heart) disease, and psychiatric disorders.

A plant-based diet is an eating pattern that focuses on plant foods like vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds. Before you start a plant-based diet, it is good to explore whether it is right for you and learn what foods to eat and avoid when on it.

One study out of New Zealand found that individuals with obesity, heart disease, or diabetes who adopted a whole food plant-based diet experienced weight loss and had improvements in cholesterol levels and quality of life.

Aside from improvements in weight, plant-based diets may lower your risk of heart disease, according to a review study involving over 200,00 individuals.

Pre-Emptive .

Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., on Sunday described President-elect Donald Trump's threat to jail members of the House Jan. 6th Committee as "an outrageous statement" and said that President Joe Biden should consider preemptive pardons for committee members.

"This is what authoritarianism is all about. It's what dictatorship is all about," Sanders added.

Asked whether Biden should consider preemptive pardons for committee members, which included seven House Democrats and two House Republicans — then-Reps. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill. — Sanders told NBC News' "Meet the Press," "Well, I think he might want to consider that very seriously."

Comment:   The Democratic party is talking about Democracy. This committee had  a 3 years of investigating every one they can with Inserection. The people of America should know the truth.

President Joe Biden said "No one is above the law," ..but "just let's pardon those we.....".

Just a thought.

A Whimper..

This is the way the world ends,” T.S. Eliot famously wrote.  “Not with a bang but a whimper.”  He might have been talking about Joe Biden’s presidency.

As he prepares to slink out the door, Biden’s final days in the Oval Office offer a perfect metaphor for everything that was wrong with his tenure.

He pardoned his convicted-criminal son after vowing not to and his mass commutations included one for a judge convicted of taking kickbacks to send juveniles to for-profit detention facilities.

The judge was in Scranton, Pa., meaning Biden even betrayed distraught parents in his hometown.

His most recent dereliction fits another pattern. Just as he paid no attention to raging inflation, the open border and the decline of America’s global standing, Biden has gone missing as swarms of drones spark fears among millions of Americans on the East Coast.

Biden has said nothing, Vice President Kamala Harris has disappeared since losing the election and the White House offers only bland assurances that there’s nothing to worry about.

How’s that for a legacy?

Blatant..

As 2024 comes to close, it’s a good time to consider some of the lies from outgoing President Biden and his Democratic support team.

While Biden pushes more than his share of inconsequential lies, some of them coming from him and his administration have been so blatant and obviously false that they deserve special attention.

Biden is just fine, thank you.” Although the cover-up of Biden’s decline went on for at least four years, it got particularly aggressive in 2024. It had to if Democrats were going to counter the growing chatter that Biden’s physical and mental acuity were deteriorating quickly. The June presidential debate made denialism impossible.

“The exploding federal debt is not a problem.” Only last June, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen reassured the public that the federal debt ($34.7 trillion at the time) was not a major concern.  “If the debt is stabilized relative to the size of the economy, we’re in a reasonable place.”

But the debt was not stabilized, because her boss, Biden, has continued pushing taxpayer dollars out the door: for student loan forgiveness, green energy projects and many others.

“I will not pardon him.” That was Biden’s June 13 response to a direct question as to whether he would issue a presidential pardon for his son Hunter. Both Joe and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeated the assertion several times. And many Democrats publicly claimed they believed it — but hardly anyone else did.

Many other issues can go under this category.   Just a thought.
