Hacking...

Chinese intelligence could have been involved in the data breach that affected 500 million guests who have made reservations with hotels under Marriott's Starwood division, Reuters reported today.
Private investigators involved in a probe into the breach discovered hacking tools, techniques and procedures that were used in earlier cyberattacks that have been linked to Chinese hackers, according to the publication which cited anonymous sources.
These clues suggest Chinese hackers could have orchestrated a campaign with the intention of harvesting data for Beijing's espionage efforts, said the unnamed sources. They also noted that someone else could also have launched the attack because some of the same hacking tools used in the attack were previously made accessible online.
Investigators believe there may have been more than one hacking group inside the guest reservation network for Marriot's Starwood division at the same time. This could make it harder to identify the culprit, as one of the sources noted. It's been four years since the hack was launched in 2014.

Meng...

U.S. authorities arrested Meng as part of an investigation into whether Huawei violated sanctions on Iran.  Huawei allegedly broke U.S. sanctions last year by selling embargoed American equipment to Iran, Reuters reported in October.
Huawei became the largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer in the world in 2017 -- knocking Ericsson out of the top spot. In a 2012 investigation by the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Intelligence concluded "the risks associated with Huawei’s and ZTE’s provision of equipment to U.S. critical infrastructure could undermine core U.S. national-security interests."
Because of alleged security risks to the U.S., Verizon and AT&T stopped selling Huawei smartphones in January, while Best Buy stopped selling Huawei laptops, cellphones and smartwatches.
The U.S. defense bill, signed by President Donald Trump in August, prohibits the federal government from procuring or obtaining, as well as entering into, extending or renewing a contract with an entity that uses telecommunications equipment or services produced by Huawei.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a newly elected US House representative, called out her future colleagues in Congress, including Democrats, for paying their low-level staffers salaries below the "living wage" and for employing unpaid interns, even as members of Congress are paid multiple times more than the average American.

The incoming New York Democrat, who took service industry jobs to support herself and her family in the years before she ran for office, tweeted  that she's met congressional staffers who wait tables to supplement their government wages.

Ocasio-Cortez's tweet came just a few hours after a reporter said Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, another New York Democrat, is hiring an unpaid intern. And her message may have made an immediate impact, because later on Monday Schumer's office announced the job posting had been made "in error" and his interns will be paid a stipend in the new congress.

Expelled...

The Danish government has come up with a plan to send dozens of rejected migrants to a remote island that currently houses a research center conducting tests on diseased animals.

Among the migrants who could be sent to the island are criminals, rejected asylum seekers and others.
"If you are unwanted in Danish society, you should not be a nuisance to ordinary Danes," Denmark's immigration minister wrote on Facebook. "They are undesirable in Denmark, and they must feel it."

Expelled, criminal aliens have nothing to do in Denmark. Until we can get rid of them, we now move them out on the island Lindholm in Stege Bay, where they will be obliged to stay at the new exit center at night. And there will be police present around the clock.  Just a thought.

Cancer is the No. 2 cause of death in the US, second only to heart disease. Some cases of cancer are out of our control, but eating specific things ups the risk of developing some deadly cancers.
*Eating too much sweet stuff can not only lead to diabetes, but actively damage your cells and increase your risk of developing cancer. Sugar may fuel tumor growth in the body because cancer loves to use sugar as fuel.

*Salt-cured fish is high in nitrates and nitrites known carcinogens in animals that may also cause cancer in humans. The chemical compounds can damage DNA, leading to head and neck cancer. Eating lots of pickled foods can also increase your risk of stomach cancer.
*The World Health Organization says Processed meats like hot dogs, ham, bacon, and sausage can cause cancer. That's because the meat has been treated in some way to preserve or flavor it, such as by salting, curing, fermenting, or smoking.
*Obesity can put you at increased risk of developing types of cancers including breast, colon, rectum, esophagus, kidney, and pancreas.
*Any food that comes in a crinkly plastic wrapper, is industrially sealed, and is designed to last for months without spoiling may be a quick on-the-go fix for a hunger pang, but it's also most likely increasing your risk of cancer.
But there are things you can do to reduce your risk. Prevention includes eating healthy foods and getting enough physical activity, both of which not only help people maintain a healthy weight and reduce their chances of developing some of those cancers, but can also ward off depression and boost your mood, too.

Lawyers for President Donald Trump asked a court  for nearly $800,000 in lawyers' fees and penalties from porn actress Stormy Daniels for a failed defamation lawsuit against him.

Judge S. James Otero noted that fees as high as $840 an hour  were reasonable but the 580 hours spent on the case appeared to be excessive and might be trimmed in his eventual award. He had questioned whether attorneys' fees alone would serve as a deterrent.
Daniels alleges she had a one-night affair with Mr. Trump in 2006. She sued him seeking to break a non-disclosure agreement she signed days before the 2016 election about the tryst as part of a $130,000 hush money settlement.
Despite the deal to stay quiet, Daniels spoke out publicly and alleged that five years after the affair she was threatened to keep quiet by a man she did not recognize in a Las Vegas parking lot. She also released a composite sketch of the Mystery man.

This doesn't happen in France or Italy. The Media used it to advance its own agenda against the president.  Just  a thought.

If you have power and influence, this means you can get people to do things, and that is worth a lot of money.  So if you’ve got money, many women will be intrigued whether it also comes with power. If it does, you’ve trip-wired her to feel not only comfort with you but desire.
Women are attracted to power derived from leadership. They don’t get nearly the same tingly feelings from men who “pull the strings” as they do from men who put themselves in the firing line.
Old money guys might have beautiful girls, but the relationship are more or less…… placid.

Meanwhile, new money guys tend to be playboys, hanging around with all sorts of models and living an adrenaline-fueled life. In contrast, new money guys are by requirement risk-takers and create both comfort through their cash and desire through their attitude.
Generally, the more risks you took to acquire your money and/or the more impact your venture made, the more desire you will ccreate. Guys who make big bucks in “stable,” corporate professions like Big Law or investment banking  can expect to create minimal desire no matter how much cash they make.
While money itself only creates comfort, the way the money is acquired might also create desire. That’s why women love rich guys, but not all rich guys the same way.
