List...
Renata Micha of Tufts and colleagues developed their list from national surveys covering 16,000 people from 1999-2012. Volunteers filled out food diaries in real time, and were followed for years after to see what happened to their health.
Eating too much sodium, more than 2,000 mg a day, which most people do twice as much, accounted for 9.5 percent of the deaths. Eating too few nuts (less than about a handful a day) accounted for 8.5 percent of deaths; eating too much processed meat accounted for 8.2 percent of deaths; eating too little seafood was responsible for 7.8 percent of the deaths.
In adults under 65, too many sweet drinks and processed meat were the biggest killers.
For people over 65, eating too much salt ......... and too few nuts and veggies were the culprits.
What to eat more of:
- Nuts
- Seafood rich in omega-3 fatty acids

Greece...
Nashville Mayor Megan Barry, a Democrat, who admitted to an extramarital affair and reportedly used taxpayer money to fund trips during the dalliance -- resigned from office after pleading guilty to theft.
“Documents released by her office show that from January 2017 until present, over $30,000 taxpayer dollars were spent on Barry and Sgt. Forrest’s travel expenses. Barry took 30 trips in total, 7 of which were personal to visit her son or take vacation with friends, while 9 were with Sgt. Forrest alone, including a trip to Greece, reportedly for the Athens Democracy Forum,”
She faces three years of unsupervised probation and must reimburse the city $11,000 for what prosecutors called "unlawful expenditures." Another condition of her plea was that she had to resign from office.
Sgt. Rob Forrest also pleaded guilty to felony theft and will have to reimburse $45,000 that he was paid for time that he was actually spending with Barry.
Theft is just unacceptable.
Theft is just unacceptable.

Self...
Uber announced that it has been sending self-driving trucks on delivery runs across Arizona since November, the first step in what could be a freight transportation revolution that could leave long-haul truckers in the cold.
After testing its technology earlier in 2017, Uber began contracting with trucking companies to use its own autonomous Volvo big rigs to take over loads as they traverse the state. Uber did not disclose what items it is transporting for which companies.
"The big step for us recently is that we can plan to haul goods in both directions, using Uber Freight to coordinate load pickups and dropoffs with local truckers," says Alden Woodrow, who leads Uber's self driving truck effort. "Keeping trucking local allows these drivers to make money while staying closer to home." It would be a good thing. Just a thought.
