Escapade...

Elizabeth Scott had worked for San Francisco-based UploadVR as director of digital and social media.
She claimed the company’s “rampant sexual behavior and focus” made it an unbearable place to work. And in other accusations, the founders allegedly fostered a “boy’s club” environment that purposefully excluded women from both social and professional gatherings.
The local virtual reality startup accused of bringing prostitutes to a work party and setting up an office “kink room” for sexual escapades. The issue has resolved the explosive lawsuit that brought those claims to light.
Thing should have been done differently. Just a thought.
Arrest...
British police have made an apparent breakthrough in subway bombing, but the country remains on a "critical" alert, meaning that another attack is judged imminent.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man in the port of Dover the main ferry link to France and then launched a massive armed search in the southwestern London suburb of Sunbury.
The man is being held under the Terrorism Act and has been brought to London for questioning. His identity is a closely guarded secret and police have implored the press not to speculate while the inquiry unfolds.
When would Britain take action to combat the young terrorists running around?

Survive...
Qatar's ruling emir met German Chancellor Angela Merkel on his first trip abroad since a diplomatic crisis erupted between the tiny Gulf nation and its neighbors, and the German leader voiced "great concern" that no end to the conflict is in sight.
.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates cut ties with Qatar in June over its close relations with Iran and its alleged support for extremists. Qatar denies supporting extremism.
Germany foreign minister said the country's intelligence service would play a role in clearing up accusations that Qatar supports terrorist groups.
Among demands the Arab nations made of Qatar in June is for all Turkish troops in the country to be expelled. Other demands include limiting diplomatic ties to Iran, shutting down the state-funded Al-Jazeera satellite news network and other media outlets and severing ties to all "terrorist organizations," including the Muslim Brotherhood and Lebanon's Hezbollah.
Is that the Qatari way to survive?
Mistake...
Harvard announced it was a "mistake" to name Manning a visiting fellow.
"We did not intend to honor her in any way or to endorse any of her words or deeds, as we do not honor or endorse any Fellow," Dean of Harvard Kennedy School Douglas W. Elmendorf said in a statement.
The decision to withdraw the offer to Manning came after CIA Director Mike Pompeo abruptly pulled out of a planned appearance at Harvard Thursday following the school's earlier announcement on Manning. He was scheduled to participate in a Harvard Kennedy School forum.
"I am writing to confirm that I will not be speaking at the John F. Kennedy, Jr. Forum," Pompeo wrote in a letter. "......However, after much deliberation in the wake of Harvard's announcement of American traitor Chelsea Manning as a Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Politics, my conscience and duty to the men and women of the Central Intelligence Agency will not permit me to betray their trust by appearing to support Harvard's decision with my appearance at tonight's event."
ESPN...
President Donald Trump is calling on ESPN to apologize days after one of the sports network's anchors called him a "white supremacist" and "bigot."
ESPN said it had accepted the apology of its "SportsCenter" host Jemele Hill for her tweets about Trump Monday. Hill said she was sorry for causing her employer trouble.
ESPN has repeatedly said Hill's comments don't reflect the view of the network. But that apparently hasn't satisfied Trump. He demanded on Twitter early Friday that ESPN "Apologize for untruth!"
That is not an apology, ESPN should show her attitude the door. Just a thought.
Fraud...
A Staten Island married couple were charged with fraud for taking more than $750,000 in Build it Back (BIB) funds after falsely claiming a home they no longer lived in was their primary residence when Hurricane Sandy hit nearly five years ago, federal prosecutors.
The couple claimed their primary residence at 6 Topping St. in New Dorp Beach was damaged during the storm, according to court papers. The couple had actually moved out of the house at least seven months earlier, prosecutors say.
Investigators said they caught on to the scam after interviewing neighbors who told them the family had moved out months before the October 2012 storm hit and the residence had been left empty, according to court documents.
At one point neighbors called the FDNY after smelling gas at the residence and responders had to shut down a gas line in the home. Investigators then obtained the lease singed at their current home and spoke with their landlord.
