Julian Assange's interest in this is all about CNN's response.

On July 5, the network's master internet sleuth,  tracked down the Reddit user who came up with the Trump-CNN wrestling video. But because the maker apologized on the forum, CNN decided not to name him. That said, "CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change."

That last sentence has inspired some pearl clutching among Trump's supporters. The alt-right has accused CNN of blackmailing some poor Reddit user who just likes trolling the media.

According to CNN, the Reddit user voluntarily apologized for the gif and other memes that were racist and anti-Semitic. Also, CNN never threatened to disclose reams of private information on the Reddit user, just his name.

But such is the nature of these social media kerfuffles in the age of Trump. Both sides try to maximize grievance. CNN accuses the president of inciting violence. Trump's supporters accuse CNN of mafia tactics

Two Americans and a Spaniard were gored Friday during the first running of the bulls of this year's San Fermin festival, medical officials in the northern Spanish city of Pamplona said.
A 46-year-old Spanish man was undergoing surgery for serious injuries to his head and leg after he was gored and then tossed by a bull.

Hospital officials said that the Americans had been gored as well during the run, but their injuries — in the abdomen for a 35-year-old man and in the scrotum for a 29-year-old — weren't considered serious. Not serious?!

Online searches for long-acting birth control devices spiked significantly in the hours after the presidential election ended.   Many women took to social media to advise other women to get an intrauterine device (IUD) which can "outlast" a conservative presidency.

The posts began over concerns that Trump and the Republican-held houses of Congress will repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Under the ACA, insurers participating in the healthcare marketplace aremandated to provide coverage for contraception without any co-payment or coinsurance, allowing many more women access to birth control.
The IUD is a small implant that, when placed in the uterus, acts as a continuous form of contraception.  Depending on the type of device an IUD can provide approximately three to 10 years of greatly reduced pregnancy risk, potentially outlasting even a two-term Trump presidency.

Generally, when big-time television news stars and newspaper/magazine editors are pushed out or resign on their own accord, they publicly express a desire to "take some time" to think about their next move and consult with their families.

But, after being ousted by MSNBC late last week, Greta Van Susteren quickly made it clear - on Twitter - that she'd welcome another hosting job.
"Since I got fired, of course I will entertain any job offers that come my way," she told The Hollywood Reporter.

Van Susteren's program was the least-watched show on MSNBC between 5 p.m.
