Kasie...*

 Image result for kasie hunt

Kasie Hunt covered politics and Congress as a reporter for NBC News beginning in 2013. Before that, covered Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign for the Associated Press and wrote about the 2010 midterm elections for POLITICO. Earlier in her career, she covered the writing and passage of the Affordable Care Act as a health policy reporter at National Journal.

Her first job in journalism was as an intern in the NBC News political unit.
Hunt holds a bachelor's degree in international affairs from George Washington University and a master's degree in sociology from the University of Cambridge, where she was a member of St John's College.

She is on the question, doesn't move away from it, demand the answer and you can't avoid it. Ask Cruz, Walker ...etc

She may be the rising star of the Presidential Election dilemma of 2016.

As predicted by this Blogger a year ago, NBC News’s Capitol Hill correspondent Kasie Hunt has landed her own Sunday night show on MSNBC as the cable news network continues to expand its weekend programming.  Just a thought.

Image result for hillary immoral regime change

Like the French Bourbons who forgot nothing and learned nothing, Ms. Clinton eagerness to initiate wars for regime change was undiminished by the Iraq and Libya debacles. She urged war against Syria to oust President Bashar al-Assad.

She confidently insinuated that we could transform Syria into a flourishing democracy sans James Madisons, George Washingtons, or Thomas Jeffersons because of our unique nation-building genius.

500,000 Dead so far, 10 Million refugees, and generation and country wiped out and destroyed. In reality, the lowest of humanity appeared where the killing of anybody is a goal.

She forgot South Sudan. We midwifed its independence in 2011. Despite our hopes and prayers, the new nation descended into a gruesome ongoing civil war including child soldiers between the Dinka  and the Nuer. More than 50,000 have died, more than 2.2 million have been displaced, and a harrowing number have been murdered, tortured, or raped. South Sudan epitomizes our nation-building incompetence.

Wars for regime change are immoral. We have not been tasked by a Supreme Being to appraise foreign nations like a schoolmarm and to invade those to whom we have superciliously assigned a failing grade. As Jesus sermonized in Matthew 7: 1-3     [Huffpost- Bruce Fein.]

Image result for Sexual harassment at work

Harassment is a form of employment discrimination that violates the law.  It is unwelcome conduct that is based on race, color.......

It is illegal when the conduct becomes a condition of continued employment, or the conduct is severe or pervasive enough to create a work environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive.

Petty slights, annoyances, and isolated incidents (unless extremely serious) will not rise to the level of illegality.

Employers are encouraged to take appropriate steps to prevent and correct unlawful harassment. They should clearly communicate to employees that unwelcome harassing conduct will not be tolerated.

Image result for Clinton's dossier disingenuous

When BuzzFeed published that now-infamous dossier of unproven claims about Donald Trump and Russia, in January, former Hillary Clinton campaign aides expressed outrage that news outlets that had obtained the dossier before Election Day did not make its contents public in time to influence voters, and Clinton later aired the same grievance in her book about the presidential race.

It turns out that the reaction of the Democratic presidential nominee and her team was disingenuous. The Washington Post reported on Tuesday night that the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee helped fund the dossier, compiled by a former British intelligence officer, through a law firm hired to conduct opposition research.

The Clinton camp left out its own role in the dossier's creation, as it ripped the media for sitting on information that journalists had been unable to verify.

What Clinton and her advisers presented as their judgment that the media had made the wrong call was, in fact, their frustration at having failed to plant negative news reports before ballots were cast. How low can we go?

The Obama administration secretly gave its blessing to arms shipments to Libyan rebels from Qatar, but evidence grew that Qatar was turning some of the weapons over to Islamic militants.
No evidence emerged linking the Qataris deal to the attack that killed four Americans diplomat in Benghazi.

The weapons and money from Qatar strengthened militant groups in Libya, allowing them to become a destabilizing force since the fall of the Qaddafi government.

The experience in Libya has taken on new urgency as the administration considers whether to play a direct role in arming rebels in Syria, where weapons are flowing in from Qatar and other countries. The administration decided to back some rbels. It doesn't cost the American people that much, but destroys families countries and generation.

When these terrorists are captured, they cry their Human Rights, but when they have the upper hand, they slaughters the others like we haven't seen before.

MSNBC announced it has removed Halperin from his role as a political contributor at the network. The book Halperin was working on about the 2016 presidential election has been canceled and HBO has pulled the plug on a project the network was planning with him.

The women, who were all in their 20s at the time, shared stories of Halperin allegedly propositioning them for sex and making unwanted sexual advances, including Allegedly pressing himself against them.

Dianna Goldberg May, a former ABC News researcher, told The Washington Post that she reached out to Halperin for help with a story but Claimed Halperin said he would only help her if she sat on his lap.

Halperin issued a statement to CNN saying he did Pursue Relationships with women he worked with during his time at ABC News.

The NAACP sent out an advisory urging African-American travelers not to use American Airlines, one of the nation's largest air carriers.

The civil rights organization accused the airline of a "pattern of disturbing incidents."
flights on American Airlines could subject them to disrespectful, discriminatory or unsafe conditions," .

The release lists four incidents over the course of 18 months over which the NAACP is accusing the airline of unfair treatment.

On Wednesday morning, American Airlines shared a letter from the CEO to his employees on the NAACP's actions.
"We were disappointed to learn of a travel advisory issued by the NAACP regarding American Airlines,"  "We do not and will not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We have reached out to the NAACP and are eager to meet with them to listen to their issues and concerns."

Do it except if the price, service, destination, direct flight, are more favorable, go ahead. Don't punish yourself.

Baggage...*

Image result for couple

BBC reports that a village 25 miles from India’s capital, New Delhi, has banned marriages based on love.  From the traditional Indian point of view, love is what comes after marriage, not before.
The marriage partners are chosen by family, then you learn to love the person you’re with.

Falling in love is a passionate feeling; loving in marriage should be based on learning how to behave in ways that lead to care and trust.  Unfortunately, the traditional approach brings along with it a lot of unacceptable baggage.

In the West,  you first fall in love, then marry for that reason.  Some fall in love and never get married. This is a decision made by the couple themselves after getting to know each other. However, this approach is also not without issues. look at US divorce rates.

Somewhere between the two extremes of love before and after lies the proper balance. A marriage needs to start with being in love but not end there. Those who are in enduring relationships learn that loving includes but is not confined to feelings. Love that lasts is based upon actions that reflect mutual respect and care.

A long-lasting marriage combines being in love, which waxes and wanes, with acting with love, which is demonstrated over and over in countless ways large and small. It is not easy. Just a thought.

A district attorney on eastern Long Island and a top aide were charged with intimidating witnesses in a federal civil rights investigation into the beating of a handcuffed prisoner by a police chief.

D- Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota and the chief of his anti-corruption bureau, Christopher McPartland, were named in an indictment charging them with obstruction of justice, witness tampering and other offenses related to the case against former county Police Chief James Burke.

Last year, Burke was sentenced to nearly four years in prison for orchestrating a department cover-up after beating a handcuffed man for stealing embarrassing items from his department-issued SUV. Burke was a longtime protege of Spota's and once worked as an investigator in the district attorney's office before being named chief of the Suffolk County Police Department, one of the largest suburban departments in the country with 2,500 officers.

Officers subpoenaed by FBI agents investigating the 2012 beating were interrogated afterward about whether they had talked, prosecutors said. Unnamed co-conspirators had warned some that if they admitted wrongdoing, their union would not pay their legal fees.

The question now is do we have the road for it?

In the past two weeks, reports in The New York Times  detailed how Hollywood film executive reached at least eight such settlement pacts with women to buy their silence.

Trial is set to begin this week for a Mexican man who set off a national immigration debate after he fatally shot 32-year-old Kate Steinle on a popular San Francisco pier.
The man acknowledges shooting Steinle in the back while she was walking with her father on the downtown pier July 1, 2015.
He claimed that the shooting was accidental as he was handling a handgun he found wrapped in a T-shirt under a bench on the pier when it accidentally fired. The handgun belonged to a Bureau of Land Management ranger who reported that it was stolen from his parked car in San Francisco a week before Steinle was shot.
Zarate had been deported five times and was homeless in San Francisco when he shot Steinle. He had recently completed a prison sentence for illegal re-entry when he was transferred to the San Francisco County jail to face a 20-year-old marijuana charge.

Morgan Stanley has a new report out for investors that outlines how Amazon's potential push into pharmacy would benefit consumers.
The authors speculate that Amazon could open "virtual retail pharmacies," leveraging its Prime Now network for millions of U.S. consumers to buy drugs online..
It would not be a huge challenge for Amazon to become a pharmacy and get added to existing pharmacy benefits managers' networks.
Secondly, the company could establish relationships with manufacturers of inexpensive generic drugs.
And finally, and most critically, Amazon would build partnerships with makers of branded drugs.
If the company is successful, Morgan Stanley expects that the rebates and other discounts that are currently retained by companies including the pharmacy benefits managers could "pass back to consumers.

Amazon would finally kill the little businesses and then the prices will soar.  It's all about the money.  Just a thought.

Image result for men loneliness

According to the Harvard Business Review, 40 percent of U.S. adults report feeling lonely. This attributed to the record numbers of people who live alone.
Technology can help or hurt, it's simply a tool but for too many people technology has led to substituting online connections for offline in-person connections.
Masculinity is tied to being self-sufficient and not expressing your emotions and certainly not admitting to feelings of loneliness. But many men do feel lonely especially after they get married or have children where their social circles narrow.
Loneliness is associated with a reduction in your lifespan that is as severe as the lifespan you see with smoking 15 cigarettes a day.   We evolve to be social creatures and thousands of years ago if you were connected to other people you were more likely to have a stable food supply and to be protected from predators. So when you're disconnected, you're in a stress state.
We have for years thought about ourselves as an individualistic society that champions individual achievement but we're truly interdependent creatures and ultimately we need each other.

Image result for hot f balloon burning

Investigators say the pilot of a Texas hot air balloon that crashed and killed 16 people flew with enough Benadryl in his system to have the equivalent blood-alcohol level of a drunken driver.

National Transportation Safety Board investigators at a hearing in Washington that pilot Alfred "Skip" Nichols also took sedatives and opioids that likely affected his decision-making during the July 2016 flight.
Nichols had at least four convictions for drunken driving and twice spent time in prison.

A Texas lawmaker expects hot air balloon pilots to obtain medical certificates following a crash similar to last year that killed 16 people.
The July 2016 crash in a pasture near Austin, Texas, was the worst hot air balloon disaster in U.S. history.

The National Transportation Safety Board could recommend new safety regulations. Medical experts have said the pilot of the Texas balloon should have been grounded because of medical ailments and drug use.

The n-word appears nearly 50 other times throughout “Mockingbird”  almost always in dialogue. The novel won its author a Pulitzer Prize for fiction and “made the values of the civil rights movement  particularly a feeling for the god-awful unfairness of segregation  real for millions.

A U.S.-backed Kurdish-led force battling the Islamic State group in Syria will be in control of Raqqa "within a few days" after attacking the last militant-held pocket of the city, a spokesman for the force said Monday.

The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, or SDF, also said that fierce street battles were underway near the main hospital in Raqqa, once the de facto capital of the extremists' self-proclaimed caliphate.

A Kurdish commander said the situation has calmed down in the city in order to allow the remaining civilians to leave the area.

On the other side, Iraqi government troops entered the city of Kirkuk without a fight, taking up positions inside the city after Kurdish fighters withdrew.

Iraqi commanders ordered the operation after a contentious independence vote on Sept. 25 in the oil-rich Kurdish region in northern Iraq. Baghdad, Washington and most international leaders condemned the referendum.

Austria’s Interior Ministry says nearly completed final returns show the center-right party headed by Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz won the national election, putting the 31-year old on track to become Europe’s youngest leader.

Becoming head of government would be the next leap in a political career that started eight years ago when Kurz, then studying law, was elected chairman of his party's youth branch.
Smart and articulate, he eventually caught the eye of People's Party elders. He was appointed state secretary for integration, overseeing government efforts to make immigrants into Austrians, in 2011.

The results put Austria on track for a rightward turn. Both the People’s and Freedom Parties campaigned on introducing tough measures to curb immigration and to pressure foreigners already in the country to integrate.
