Anthony D'Alessandro,  stole nearly 200,000 oxycodone pills from the facility, said Bridget Brennan, New York City's special narcotics prosecutor.  The 249-count indictment was issued.   The pills were worth about $5.6 million on the street.

The sticky-fingered pharmacist pleaded guilty to four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, officials said.

He served as director of pharmacy services at Beth Israel on First Ave. and 16th St. for 14 years, authorities said. He was responsible for overseeing all of the medication stocked and dispensed at the facility.

The new Mount Sinai Health System received an anonymous letter that explained the large-scale theft and provided related documentation.

D'Alessandro made false entries into the hospital's electronic narcotics inventory system to cover up his crimes, according to officials.

Last Forever...*

"Sharon Bialek accusing Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain of sexual harassment in November 7, 2011.

In Erie, Pennsylvania, a Pizza delivery man robbed a bank with a live bomb attached to his neck. The police arrested the robber,  ......

Herman Cain, a former Pizza chain executive, is another "Pizza man", a rising star in the Republican hopefuls for the presidency of the United States of America. He introduced the 999 tax plan which was very attractive for a while.

Soon enough few women came out of nowhere accusing him of unwanted sexual harassment. We all want to know what did he do to the accusers, a juicy story.

Then Ginger White came out to indicate that she had a relationship with him, on and off, for over 10 years. [This wasn't a one night thing repeated monthly.] So here ya go. He is no longer running.

What is it with men who always need recognition by another woman?
And what gets us uncomfortable with any mention of a such a story or a relationship?

The hopes of the presidency evaporated, and the hopes of thousands who looked up to him did the same. Yet the good time, and memories will last forever!!!!!

Safety...*

Michael Bloomberg is once again taking aim at one of his favorite targets, the NRA.

He plans to spend $50 million of his fortune at influencing women to push for stricter anti-gun violence laws.

Every town for Gun Safety. The strategy takes a long view of how to produce change on gun reform and is designed to beat the National Rifle Association at its own game. Developing the political clout needed to get lawmakers to back the group’s agenda  and to punish those (politicians) who don’t.

He plunked down $1.1 million to fund campaign ads last year for Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe in Virginia, an advocate of stricter gun control, in his hotly contested race with Republican Ken Cuccinelli. McAuliffe won.

So much this 71 year old man can do. He has the ammunition for it with all the shootings in schools and elsewhere and all the mothers that aren't happy with guns laws.

Those who shouldn't have guns shouldn't be able to buy it, borrow it, or use it.

Just a thought.

Japanese people enjoy one of the longest average life spans in the world — 86 years for women and 79 for men (80 & 75 respective for Americans)  with far lower rates of obesity and chronic diseases like osteoporosis, heart disease and some types of cancer.

The diet incorporates lower-calorie foods served in controlled portions. They eat around 25 per cent fewer calories than the average western person.

The secret is to replace energy-dense foods, like chocolate, potato chips, and cookies, with less energy-dense, like fruits, vegetables, etc. In a study from Penn. State U., researchers served women meals that were 25% smaller than average and contained 30% fewer calories according to the principles of energy density. They ended up eating an average of 800 calories less per day, without missing the extra food.

The Japanese achieve a lot of physical activity by simple actions such as walking, climbing stairs and using a bicycle to run errands.

Image result for kidnap husbands to force divorce

Rabbi Mendel Epstein goes on trial on charges of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and attempted kidnapping. Prosecutors allege that the Orthodox rabbi's team used brutal methods and tools, including handcuffs and electric cattle prods, to torture men into granting divorces.   The targets: Jewish husbands unwilling to divorce their wives.
"If it can get a bull that weighs 5 tons to move, you put it in certain parts of his body and in one minute the guy will know," prosecutors said Epstein told two undercover FBI agents posing as a brother and sister trying to force the sister's husband to grant the ritual Jewish divorce known as a "get." Prosecutors say he was recorded telling the agents the effort would cost at least $50,000.

The kidnap team brought surgical blades, a screwdriver and rope to a staged kidnapping in 2013, according to the indictment. Epstein, who was indicted last May along with his son and three other Orthodox rabbis, told the undercover agents he arranged similar kidnappings every year or year and a half, the indictment said.

Several co-defendants have pleaded guilty in the case and others will go on trial with Epstein.

Defense lawyer Robert Stahl disputed the charges and called Epstein a "champion of women's rights." Epstein wrote the 1989 book "A Woman's Guide to the Get Process."

"I think that a lot of information will come out about the supposed victims, and the evidence will not be there that he was involved in certain incidents," Stahl said last week. "Much more will come to light once the trial gets underway."  Hard to believe.       Just a thought.
