Marcus Sanford Patmon, 45, of Miami, was arrested outside a Starbucks in Arlington, Virginia, after a police license plate reader indicated that his parked vehicle had been reported as stolen.

A police spokeswoman, told NBC Washington that Patmon "wanted to meet with Eric Holder" because "he was looking to be pardoned by the Obama administration before the Trump administration came in."    

According to the FBI, Patmon pleaded guilty in 2009 to attempted wire fraud and interstate transportation of stolen property for trafficking in two stolen Pablo Picasso etchings and a stolen Marc Chagall lithograph  together worth well more than a half-million dollars.

California art dealer, to whom Patmon tried to sell the Picassos, smelled something fishy and contacted authorities, and the FBI soon had an undercover agent on the case.

When authorities searched Patmon's Miami home, they found one of the Picassos, a 1957 etching of a woman reading a book called "Jacqueline Lisant," hidden behind the sofa. Patmon later confessed, according to an FBI affidavit. He served 2 years.

One problem (besides the stolen car): Eric Holder is no longer the attorney general.

Confirmed, unconfirmed, it doesn't matter, give credit to themselves for their success that I don't see. Politician want to say something, their Names become as famous as they can. So they oppose anything, comment on anything, just be in the picture.

British security services MI5 reportedly identified a British hip-hop artist as the key suspect in the hunt for the killer of American journalist James Foley.
The Sunday Times newspaper said Abdel Bary, from West London, had become a crucial part of the investigation. “senior government sources.”

Bary, 23, is the son of an Egyptian-born militant who is awaiting trial on terror charges in New York tied to the deadly 1998 bombings of embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

The Islamic State carried out what American officials called its first “terrorist attack” against the U.S., meaning the killing of American journalist James Foley.

U.S. intelligence and military officials have begun collecting geographic information about current Islamic State strongholds and leadership positions inside Syria, CNN reported. The Obama administration has been hinting about Syrian intervention since.

For those who participate in terrorism, and their families, parents, brothers, sisters etc. who supported them, didn't report their fanatic activities, should be held responsible, stripped from citizenship and sent back to where they came from.

Van Susteren left Fox News in September after 14 years, saying the network had “not felt like home” for a few years. She left right after former CEO Roger Ailes left after former host Gretchen Carlson filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against him.

Van Susteren broke the news the day Fox News agreed to settle with Carlson for $20 million.
At MSNBC, Van Susteren will host For the Record With Greta at 6PM ET. The network hopes her show will “bridge the gap between daytime and primetime.” The network stated:

“I’m thrilled to start my next chapter at MSNBC, the network is the right destination for the smart news and analysis I hope to deliver every day, and I look forward to joining the talented journalists and analysts I respect there.”

Rupert Murdoch, the executive chairman of 21st Century Fox, released a statement about Megyn Kelly’s departure from Fox News. “We thank Megyn Kelly for her 12 years of contributions to FOX News,” the statement read. "We hope she enjoys tremendous success in her career and wish her and her family all the best.” The network also announced that Kelly will be hosting The Kelly File through Friday, January 6.

The usual default answer (money) does not appear to apply here. Kelly had a generous offer to stay -- $25 million to stay, although depending on the reports, that figure may have materialized late in the Fox negotiation. But either $20 or $25 million -- almost certainly much less at NBC

NBC said it had agreed to a “multi-year agreement,” with Kelly, whom they described as “one of America’s most prominent news anchors.”   Just a thought.

Alzheimer Patient.

NYS attorney general filed an antitrust lawsuit seeking to stop a pharmaceutical company from forcing patients with Alzheimer’s to switch to a new version of a widely used drug. The lawsuit contends that the switch is designed to blunt competition from low-priced generic versions of the medication.

Forest Lab announced that it would stop selling the existing tablet form of the drug, Namenda, in favor of new extended-release capsules called Namenda XR that can be taken once a day instead of twice.

While the company said that patients preferred the newer drug, it has made little secret of its desire to switch all patients to the newer form, which has a longer patent life, before the old tablets face generic competition. The strategy would make it much harder for the generics to gain traction.

The step taken by Forest Lab. is intended to maintain its monopoly even after its patent expires.

“A drug company manipulating vulnerable patients and forcing physicians to alter treatment plans unnecessarily, simply to protect corporate profits, is unethical and illegal,” the attorney general, Eric T. Schneiderman, said in a statement.

Remedies is very easy. Since the company abandoned their patent drug, the Generic should jump right into production before the patent expires. In addition, Walmart and the likes should be allowed to import the item from other Countries since US patients are left out in the dark.  Way to go AG.

As labor costs have risen and currency appreciated, China is slowly losing work to countries like Bangladesh, Vietnam, etc. at least for cheaper, labor-intensive goods like casual clothes, toys and simple electronics.

For DBL Group, employs 9,000 people making T-shirts and other knitwear, business has been so good that the company is finishing a new 10-story building with open floors the size of soccer fields, planted with row after row of sewing machines.

The company that handles sourcing and apparel manufacturing for companies like Wal-Mart and Liz Claiborne, reported that its production in Bangladesh jumped 20 percent last year, while China, slid 5 percent.

Bangladesh is the third-biggest exporter of clothing after China, and Turkey [WTO] and could probably absorb many more of China’s 20 million garment industry jobs as the Chinese workers demand higher salaries.

With many counterfeit product from China, a small change in the label is a huge business to others " Made in Bangladesh."
