Autopsy..

Private..

  • A federal judge has been disciplined for having sex in their chambers with a high-ranking law enforcement officer within earshot of staff, attending a partisan political event and for lying to superior judges who investigated the claims.
  • But the identity of the judge is being kept private by the Committee on Judicial Conduct and Disability of the Judicial Council of the United States in its decision issued Friday.
  • The judge was ordered to write letters of apology to six former law clerks who were interviewed in the probe; foregoing service as the chief judge in the federal district where they sit; and refraining from sitting on any Judicial Conference committee.
  • The 11th Circuit imposed sanctions on the judge, who agreed to them, which included ordering that they write letters of apology to six former law clerks who were interviewed in the probe; foregoing service as the chief judge in the federal district where they sit; and refraining from sitting on any Judicial Conference committee.

    Comment:

  • Glad its kept private.  Just a thought.

Becoming..

In an op-ed piece for the Wall Street Journal entitled “Why I’m Becoming a Republican,” Dershowitz announced that he would be joining the Republican Party in protest over the opposition to Israel among some members of the Democratic Party.
The former Epstein lawyer and Harvard Law School professor explained that while he “strongly” opposed the Republican Party’s policies on abortion, immigration, healthcare, taxes, and other major issues, the Democratic Party was no longer sufficiently supportive of Israel and would therefore not be receiving his vote.
Citing the recent vote for a weapons embargo against Israel – which received the support of all but seven Senate Democrats – as well as polls which showed a growing opposition to Israel among Democrats of all ages, Dershowitz claimed that the Democratic Party had “become the most anti-Israel party in U.S. history.”
While Dershowitz defended President Donald Trump as a member of his legal team during his first impeachment in 2020, the lawyer endorsed former President Joe Biden in the 2020 election and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2008.

Spirit..

While speaking at a progressive conference on Tuesday, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., called for Democrats to not only defeat "MAGA extremists" electorally but also "break their spirit."

Jeffries, who stands to gain the House speaker’s gavel if Democrats take the majority in the midterm election, said that "part of how we as House Democrats view this moment, either MAGA extremists are going to break the country, or we're going to break them, and our goal is to break them."

During the panel, Jeffries assured, "As a guarantee, we are taking back control of the United States House of Representatives in November

Comment:

It is breaking the spirit we're after.

 Just a thought.
