Crime..

Calf Muscle..

The term "second heart" refers to the calf muscles, which act as a pump to return deoxygenated blood from the lower legs to the heart and lungs.

This calf muscle pump is vital for proper circulation, lymphatic drainage, and even helps with blood sugar regulation.

It works by contracting and expanding, pushing blood up through one-way valves in the veins.

Circulation:
The primary function of the calf muscle pump is to assist the main heart by

  •  moving blood against gravity from the lower legs back to the heart.
  • The calf pump works with one-way venous valves that open to allow blood to move up and close to prevent backflow, ensuring blood moves in the right direction.
  • When the calf muscles contract, they also stimulate lymphatic vessels, which helps drain waste and improves the immune system.

Adapt..

Denmark banned full-face veils like the burqa and niqab in public places in 2018. The ban was extended to schools and universities in 2025 by the Danish Prime Minister and the Social Democrats, who called the previous exception a mistake.

The legislation was passed by a majority vote and carries fines for offenders, with the aim of promoting integration and upholding Danish democratic values.

In June 2025, Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced plans to expand the ban to educational institutions.

Her stated reasoning is that religious expressions like the niqab and burqa are incompatible with Danish cultural values and that democracy and gender equality take precedence.

Bribes

Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies said on Saturday they had uncovered a major graft scheme that procured military drones and signal jamming systems at inflated prices, two days after the agencies’ independence was restored following major protests.

The independence of Ukraine’s anti-graft investigators and prosecutors, NABU and SAPO, was reinstated by parliament on Thursday after a move to take it away resulted in the country’s biggest demonstrations since Russia’s invasion in 2022.

In a statement published by both agencies on social media, NABU and SAPO said they had caught a sitting lawmaker, two local officials and an unspecified number of national guard personnel taking bribes. None of them were identified in the statement.

Zelensky subsequently said that he had heard the people’s anger, and submitted a bill restoring the agencies’ former independence, which was voted through by parliament.

Gait..

A 2022 study found something striking: older adults with slower walking speeds showed signs of smaller brain volume and were more likely to experience cognitive decline. It’s not just about stiff knees or tired muscles. Walking is much more than a physical act.

When the legs move, a network of brain regions lights up. Every step calls upon the frontal lobe (for planning), cerebellum (for balance), and spinal cord (for signal transmission). Even the feet send sensory feedback back to the brain.

This partnership between brain and body means that walking isn’t just exercise, it’s a real-time reflection of cognitive health. Subtle changes in gait or coordination might actually be early warnings, long before memory lapses begin.

Walking patterns have, in fact, been shown to shift years before any cognitive diagnosis is made. It’s almost as if the legs are whispering a warning the brain hasn’t yet spoken aloud.

Optmistic..

Phil Falcone, hedge-fund billionaire fallen on tough times.
Once a hedge-fund superstar worth $2 billion, bad investments have left him having to sell off his prized possessions to pay his bills: Upper East Side townhouses, a Hamptons mansion, a custom-made grand piano, all gone.

Now he is in a legal tussle with a pawnbroker over millions of dollars of goods he and movie producer wife Lisa Maria Falcone put up as collateral, according to court records. It’s a long fall from grace from making a name as philanthropists and hosting movie stars.

It’s quite a comedown for the cofounder of Harbinger Capital, which managed $26 billion at its peak.

But Falcone, who hauled in most of his cash betting huge against sub-prime mortgages like in movie “The Big Short,” remains optimistic about a comeback, even as others wager against him.

Adding..

On August 28, 2025, Mayor Eric Adams announced that 1,000 additional NYPD officers would be deployed to the Bronx for Labor Day weekend. This surge in police presence was a response to an increase in gun violence in the borough, with at least 15 people shot in the days leading up to the holiday.
1,000 extra officers were assigned to the Bronx. This differs from the user's inquiry about 2,500 officers. The figure of 2,500 refers to the total number of foot patrol officers deployed citywide to address gang violence hotspots during the Labor Day weekend.
While NYC Mayor Eric Adams has stated that younger people are involved in gangs, this is not necessarily at odds with overall crime statistics showing a decline.
The increase in youth involvement with gangs can be a cause of concern even if overall crime rates are decreasing due to other factors.
Comment:
The stat of crime may be decreasing, but when it happens to you, you may not see
it the same as the officials who have 24 hour a day protection.  Just a thought.

Hidden..

BY: Linda Argalgi Sadacka
This September is not politics as usual. It is a referendum on the future of New York City: Will we remain a city of law, prosperity, and safety, or will we hand the keys to Zohran Kwame Mamdani, a self-declared democratic socialist, a cheerleader for Hamas, and an enemy of the Jewish community?
Mamdani does not just sympathize with radicals – he is one. His rise is powered by the Democratic Socialists of America, whose ideology is embraced by the likes of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
It is the same movement that has pushed to defund the police, vilify Israel, and dismantle the economy.
This isn't hidden information. It is Mamdani’s platform: weaken policing, punish the wealthy, and side with Israel’s enemies under the banner of “solidarity.”
Comment:
I wonder what Mr. Mamdani didn't reveal. It may be worse that what he said.   Just a thought.

History..

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) revealed that an illegal migrant from Pakistan, who served in the U.S. military, has an extensive history of criminal activity paired with "lies about his military service."

According to an Inspector General’s report obtained by Fox News Digital from 2021, Chaudhry collected $449,459.82 in taxpayer dollars from the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Veteran’s Benefits Administration (VBA) and currently owes the federal government $81,080 for a mortgage reduction grant from the VBA

Muhammad Chaudhry has a criminal history which he failed to disclose and has already had permanent residence status rejected by a judge," Rantz from Seattle Red 770 AM told Fox. "And yet Democrats still portray him as some sort of victim."

"If you want to understand why Democrats continue to make no distinction between criminal illegal immigrants and hard-working ones who just want a better life, it’s pretty easy now." "When you don’t believe in borders, you don’t see a difference."

Choice..

Mayor Eric Adams’ political future in New York City appears increasingly uncertain as murmurs of an early exit from City Hall grow louder.

Once seen as a confident law-and-order Democrat with a flair for commanding headlines, Adams now faces mounting scrutiny, dwindling approval ratings, and a persistent drumbeat of scandals that have weakened his grip on power.

Behind the scenes, conversations among Democratic power brokers suggest the mayor may not finish his term, a rare prospect in New York politics.

While Adams himself has not directly announced plans to step aside, allies and critics alike are beginning to prepare for what many see as an inevitable transition.

Comment:

A bad choice, one after another.
