Mess..

Chicago’s budget woes under far-left Mayor Brandon Johnson should serve as warning to New Yorkers planning to back socialist Zohran Mamdani’s mayoral bid.

“Chicago is proof that incompetent leadership can turn a deep-dish city into a half-baked mess,” ex-Gov Andrew Cuomo wrote on X Friday.
Cuomo’s indirect dig at the Democratic nominee and frontrunner to win this year’s NYC mayoral race came in response to Johnson earlier this week saying Chicago needs to deal with looming budget shortfalls even as it’s education, housing, health care and transportation systems are “woefully underfunded.”
Last year, the Wall Street Journal editorial board dubbed Johnson “America’s worst mayor.”

Supply..

On the eastern front, Ukrainian troops are facing a relentless barrage from Russian drones and a “critical shortage of personnel.”

To counter the unmanned aircraft, soldiers have developed a surprisingly effective low-tech solution: stringing up simple fishing nets to catch the drones.

-However, this ingenuity highlights a deeper crisis.

A Ukrainian commander reports not receiving replacements for eight months, being severely outnumbered, and suffering from extreme fatigue.

This desperate situation on the ground is compounded by what he calls a failure to communicate the true difficulty of the war up the chain of command.

In a long segment aired by CNN, a Ukrainian commander told the U.S. news network that he had not received replacements for his unit for eight months. At the moment, he told CNN, he was only resupplying frontline positions, and even there his troops are outnumbered.

Biased..

Terry Moran, the former ABC News reporter fired over his attack on White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller earlier this year, admitted that the major news networks are “biased” against President Donald Trump in a recent Substack post about the Trump administration’s approval of the merger between Paramount Global and Skydance Media.
“Let’s talk about bias. I worked at ABC News for almost 28 years, and I’m proud to say that.  A lot of good people do a lot of really good work there, and they try hard to get the story right.
 “But: Were we biased?
Yes. Almost inadvertently, I’d say. ABC News has the same problem so many leading cultural institutions do in America: A lack of viewpoint diversity.”
