Morning..

Off ..

The Army Black Hawk helicopter that collided with an American Eagle flight over the Potomac River late last month was flying with a safety system turned off, Sen. Ted Cruz told reporters Thursday following a closed door briefing by the Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board.

All 67 people on the two aircraft were killed when they collided near Reagan National Airport near Washington, D.C.

Cruz, a Texas Republican, chairs the Senate Commerce Committee, which has oversight of the airline industry.  He said senators were told the helicopter had its automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) system turned off.

Comment:

Military aircraft are allowed to fly with that system off, but under what circumstance?

Beer..

Chuck Schumer stood up before the media and explained that Americans - if the tariffs are even imposed - would pay the price at their respective Super Bowl parties.

The senator suggested that the "Big Game" staple of guacamole could soar in price, and that football fans would undoubtedly pay more for beer... because as he said, that's where most brewskis come from:

Comment:

Most beers are not made by our Southern Neighbor as Chuck Schumer implied. Again, if this is the case, then our own companies in USA can expand their productions process.
Second, Where was the concerned people in the past 3 years when President Biden utter these words, "Keddo, No fossil Fuel" or his sanctions on Russia as he said " this is going to be serious, food shortage"

However, let us not shed one tears on some pennies on a beer while the previous administration the prices up to 10% for years.
Just a thought.

The Media..

The Media is going crazy with the Tarriff, On or off. What would it do today and its cost tomorrow. Hours and hours of opposing opinions.

Where were these same teams the past four years while the transitory Inflation took over and cost the American people and arm and a leg. Just a thought.

Withdrew..

The Defense Department is developing plans to withdraw all U.S. troops from Syria, two U.S. defense officials told NBC News on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump and officials close to him recently expressed interest in pulling U.S. troops out of Syria, the officials said, leading Pentagon officials to begin drawing up plans for a full withdrawal in 30, 60 or 90 days.

late 2019, Trump ordered Defense Secretary James Mattis to withdraw all U.S. troops from Syria. Mattis pushed back against the plan and ultimately resigned in protest.

Trump withdrew most U.S. troops but subsequently moved them back. The U.S. presence in Syria has continued since then.

In December, the Pentagon announced that roughly 2,000 troops were deployed to Syria, more than double the number the military had said for years, about 900.

Comment:

What good did we do in Syria? And how much did it cost the taxpayer

 over the past 15 years?

How much misery created in the area under our noses? Just a thought.
