The UK wants to let Ukraine use its Storm Shadow missiles on Russian soil but isn't giving Kyiv permission out of concern that the US won't back the call, according to multiple reports.
The Telegraph and the Financial Times reported Tuesday that London officials have privately been asking the US for the go-ahead this summer.
But Ukraine has yet to receive the green light to launch the British and French-made cruise missiles on targets inside Russia — a move that it's championed as the next crucial step for the war effort.
Comment:
The Ukraine leader wants to expand the war with Russia. Off course he is using weapons from US, France, etc. What will that lead to? Just a thought.

Moonfish..
Pilot Oleksiy Mes, known as “Moonfish,” was killed in the crash while “repelling the biggest ever aerial attack” by Russia against Ukraine, said the source.
The death of the pilot is a major blow for Ukraine. The first F-16s only arrived in the country earlier this month and Moonfish was one of the few pilots trained to fly them.

Cost..
US Navy carrier strike group and a few other warships that spent months battling the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in and around the Red Sea fired $1.16 billion worth of munitions during active combat operations, a Navy spokesperson told Business Insider on Wednesday.
This previously unreported figure covers the total cost of the 770 munitions that the Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group launched from October 7 to mid-July and underscores the significant financial toll of America's ongoing counter-Houthi mission. "US Navy ships have maintained a presence in and near the Red Sea to deter threats and protect shipping since the launch of near-daily attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthis in November 2023," the spokesperson said.
"In that effort, a variety of weapons have been employed by the carrier strike group, including aircraft as well as vessels operating with the strike group and independently," they added.
Comments:
The total coast perhaps exceeds twenty times what's calculated. In addition the war in that region blocked ships from going through.
We wasting our money... Just a thought.

The Taiwan's military is planning a meeting to reevaluate the use of US-made anti-tank missiles after the weapons saw low accuracy during drills earlier this week, per local reporting.
On Wednesday, Taiwan's Ministry of National Defense said it would reevaluate the use of the tube-launched, optically tracked, wire-guided (TOW) 2A missiles after many of the weapons fired during the recent training missed their targets, per Taiwan News . Only seven of the 17 TOW missiles used during the two-day exercises accurately hit their target. It's unclear if the problem was the weapon or the operator.
Comment:
This is almost half and half. Or less than half and half. How is the Lucky Ukrainians doing with these weapons?
