Loss..

Protein powder is a nutritional supplement that can help people achieve specific goals, such as muscle gain or weight loss.

It also has potential benefits for those with unique dietary needs who may not get enough protein from solid, whole foods due to illness or progressive age-related muscle loss.

However, most people can meet their dietary needs by following the principles of healthy eating and don't need protein supplements in powder form.

Another reason to use a protein powder supplement is to promote weight loss. Some research suggests that protein powders are a quick fix that can help control appetite.

However, protein-rich snacks, like yogurt, may have a similar effect, according to other research.

Protein powders shouldn’t be used as a meal replacement but can complement a healthy whole-food diet.

Masculinity..

A team of human behavioralists at the University of Queensland, in Australia, working with a colleague from the University of Stirling, in the U.K., has found via experimentation that people tend to be more attracted to potential partners that look like them.

An old adage suggests that "opposites attract," but it might be referring more to  than looks.

Face similarity between couples played a role in how attractive they found each other—the more alike they looked, the more attractive they found the other person.

Those of the same ethnicity more attractive than people of other ethnicities.
And the researchers found that the volunteers tended to rate the other person as more understanding and more trustworthy the more they looked like them.

Women tended to rate men as more attractive based on how masculine they looked and women as less attractive the more masculine they looked.

Oops there it is. Just a thought.

War..

In an interview with CNN, Mr. Biden said that he did not “think there is unanimity in NATO about whether or not to bring Ukraine into the NATO family now,” and that the process could take place only after a peace agreement with Russia was in place.

“If the war is going on, then we’re all in war,” Mr. Biden said,  “We’re at war with Russia, if that were the case.”

He added that there would be “other qualifications that need to be met, including democratization,” for Ukraine to be considered for membership.

The president began a trip to Europe on Sunday that will include attending a NATO summit in Lithuania, where Russia’s war in Ukraine — and a decision last week by the United States to supply Kyiv with weapons that are banned by most of its allies — will be a main focus.

Mr. Prsident can't help himself... War War and more War.... No need for the US Congress, its the President himself saying it.

Solitaries..

Nearly 30 percent of American households comprise a single person, a record high.

Scholars say living alone is not a trend so much as a transformation.

Homo sapiens is a social animal. Historians tapped ancient census rolls to show that our species has lived in groups for as long as such records have existed, stretching back at least to 1600.

The U.S. Census shows that “solitaries” made up 8 percent of all households in 1940, doubled to 18 percent in 1970 and 29 percent, by 2022.

The solo-living movement intersects with several other societal trends. Americans are marrying later, if at all. The nation is aging. The national birthrate is falling. People are living longer.

More than anything, perhaps, the rise of single-person households is about women entering the workforce and achieving economic self-sufficiency.

Sarcopenia..

Protein powder is a nutritional supplement that can help people achieve specific goals, such as muscle gain or weight loss. It also has potential benefits for those with unique dietary needs who may not get enough protein from solid, whole foods due to illness or progressive age-related muscle loss. Howeer, most people can meet their dietary needs by following the principles of healthy eating and don't need protein supplements in powder form.

Sarcopenia: After age 30, adults can lose about 3% to 5% of their skeletal muscle mass with each passing decade.4 Age-related muscle loss is called sarcopenia.

Older adults who aren’t getting enough protein through their regular diet may benefit from a muscle-building combination of protein powder supplementation and full-body strength training workouts at least twice a week.

History..

At least 38 human rights organizations have publicly opposed the transfer of cluster munitions to Ukraine, where the weapons have already been used in the war to devastating effect. “These are already all over the country and will need to be cleaned up.

The Biden administration approved the transfer of cluster munitions to Ukraine on Friday, sparking concern from human rights groups and some congressional lawmakers over the weapon’s ability to harm civilians and children long after the bombs have fallen.

The weapons are banned by more than 100 countries because the submunitions spread out imprecisely, often fail to detonate and remain as explosive hazards for decades.

History repeat itself.

Advancing..

Russian troops are advancing in four areas of the front line in eastern Ukraine
amid "fierce fighting", Ukraine's Deputy Defence Minister Ganna Maliar said on Sunday.   "Fierce fighting everywhere.
Who is benefiting out of this war?
The Western Democracy countries with inflation reached over 10% and some reached 20% are providing weapons to the Ukraine and buying new ones from
the USA.
The US provided the foundation for the war and a $100 billions so far for weapons. With that, classified document released (without Permission) showed some info about the war.
Germany had to buy US Natural gas at three folds the Russian prices.
President Biden said  that a food shortage is "gonna be real" following the
sanctions placed on Russia by the U.S. government and Western Democracies.
Who is benefitting out of this war?   Just a thought.

Visions..

President Barack Obama’s foreign policy mantra was, in brief, “Don’t do stupid shit.”

In Obama’s rendition of history, many former presidents too hastily initiated conflicts abroad with little regard for the predictable second- and third-order consequences.

The fact that poor foreign policy outcomes sometimes still occur indicates that stupid shit isn’t nearly as recognizable from the outset as Obama suggested.

Few Americans could have imagined the deaths of over 5,400 U.S. soldiers across the Greater Middle East nearly half caused by roadside bombs since war planners didn’t anticipate fighting multiple insurgencies.

Fewer could have envisioned the staggering costs, among them: a surveillance state that recast the American regime of rights; the calcification of the imperial presidency; compromises of national conscience from Abu Ghraib to Guantanamo Bay; $6.4 trillion and counting in borrowed expenses; and, so far, 335,745 overseas civilian deaths (9/11 times over a hundred).
