Turbine..

Kyiv's relations with Germany, which is heavily reliant on Russian energy supplies and also Europe's biggest economy, are particularly sensitive.

Andriy Melnyk, who was appointed as ambassador to Germany in late 2014, regularly branded politicians and intellectuals who oppose arming Ukraine to fight the Russian invasion as appeasers.

He once accused German Chancellor Olaf Scholz of behaving like an "offended liver sausage" when Scholz did not immediately accept an invitation by Zelenskiy to visit Kyiv.

Germany wants Ottawa to return the turbine to Russian natural gas giant Gazprom to pump gas to Europe, but Kyiv had urged Canada to keep the turbine.

Canada said on Saturday it would return the turbine.

Worry.,?

Out of the country for more than a week as he hops from meetings in Rwanda to the G-7 and onto NATO, Johnson appears eager to focus on other matters than his troubles at home.

An official UK summary of Johnson’s bilateral meeting on Sunday with Macron suggested there were tensions over Ukraine.

Johnson stressed that any attempt to settle the conflict now would “only give Putin license to manipulate both sovereign countries and international markets in perpetuity” -- remarks interpreted by British newspapers as a swipe at Macron.

So Continue with the conflict to the benefits of no one but higher prices, food shortage and Recession worldwide and the destruction and misery of the Ukraine.

Johnson lost his own party's trust. He lost touch with the people his and others.

Just a thought.

Chaos arrived around 10:40 p.m., when two gunmen wearing hoodies and masks rounded a corner and released a hail of bullets, the police said. They were aiming at three men in front of the barbershop believed to be members of the Trinitarios gang, but also struck seven bystanders, the police said.

The gunmen hopped on a pair of waiting scooters driven by accomplices who sped away, surveillance video showed.

Three people were killed and 21 were wounded in shootings in New York City. Authorities reported 14 separate shootings from Monday into Tuesday morning.

In one incident on Monday, three men were shot, two fatally, inside the Spring Creek Food Mart in Brooklyn just after 11:35 p.m.

A 23-year-old man was shot in the neck and a 21-year-old was shot in the head, both of whom were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the New York Police Department.

The gun laws in NYC is VERY STRICT FOR LAW ABIDING CITIZENS. But it is free for unlawful use. Just a thought.

Euro

The euro fell to its lowest level in two decades on Tuesday as fears of a recession in the euro zone ramped up. Euro zone inflation hit a record 8.6% in June.

However, growing fears of a recession may limit the central bank’s capacity to tighten monetary policy. The July Sentix Economic Index on Monday showed investor morale across the 19-country euro zone has plunged to its lowest level since May 2020, pointing toward an “inevitable” recession.

Record-high inflation in Europe has been abetted by skyrocketing gas prices over recent months as a result of the sanctions on Russia's energy-Gas-oil and coal.

The dollar’s strength continues, meanwhile, as risk-averse investors seek a safe haven, and the U.S. Federal Reserve embarks upon what looks to be an aggressive rate hike regime.

The G7 keeps tightining the sanctions on Russia which impacts the G7.  Just a thought.
